FAITH THAT CANNOT FAIL 5
— FAITH IS DARING
“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.”
Romans 4:20 (NLT)
To have faith is to have absolute confidence in God. Faith doesn’t doubt!
This is why faith cannot fail. It is not confidence in things; it is confidence in the source and creator of all things—GOD!
The faith that works is not self-confidence. The faith of God is confidence in God.
It is not merely about being enthusiastic or having vim. It is to be bold or audacious. The confidence in God makes you dare to take steps the normal mind wouldn’t dare to take.
The word of God is supernatural. Whatever God says is not limited to the optics. The word of God produces extraordinary results.
Abraham didn’t automatically walk in the fulfillment of the word of God. He acted in faith. Abraham dared to believe what God said.
“We call Abraham “father” not because he got God’s attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody. Isn’t that what we’ve always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, “I set you up as father of many peoples”? Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do. And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples. God himself said to him, “You’re going to have a big family, Abraham!” Romans 4:17-18 (Message).
Faith has to be daring because it is to act on what God has said against every hopeless situation. Whatever God says contradicts what you may see, experience or feel. God’s word contradicts your present situation; thus, you must dare to act on it, so that you can lay hold on the miracle.
Against every opposing or contradicting voice, you must remain resolute and confident in what God has said.
Faith dares to stand on God’s word no matter the storm.
BE DARING!
Hallelujah.
