THE FOUNDATION OF OUR FAITH
“And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:14 (KJV)
Jesus did not only prophesy His death; He consistently prophesied His resurrection.
The cross though is a key element in preaching the gospel, it is not the foundation of the gospel.
The foundation of the gospel is the death and the resurrection of Jesus our Lord.
Apart from the unique birth of Jesus and the reality that He is God; another truth which is feared and greatly opposed is the RESURRECTION OF JESUS.
There are many who will easily agree that Jesus died, but are agitated and filled with indignation when they hear of the Resurrection of Jesus.
The glorious news and the crux of the Gospel is the resurrection of Jesus.
Jesus did not only speak concerning His death, because speaking of His death wasn’t a surprise to the religious leaders. After all, that was what they were plotting.
It was the kind of death, the purpose of His death and His resurrection from the dead which shook the hearts of the religious leaders.
His disciples seemed to be only worried about His death.
You must intentionally uphold the good news of His resurrection.
When Jesus resurrected, He said, ALL HAIL, which also means REJOICE!
“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.” Matthew 28:5-9 (KJV)
Which means His resurrection is a great news for us.
The resurrection of Jesus is the very crux of the gospel because:
1. Without His resurrection there would have been no evidence of our Justification.
“who was betrayed and crucified because of our sins, and was raised [from the dead] because of our justification [our acquittal—absolving us of all sin before God]” Romans 4:25 ( Amplified Bible)
“Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans 4:25 (TPT)
We can now see the purpose and essence of His death and resurrection respectively.
He died because of our transgressions or sins.
And He resurrected as the evidence that we are declared not guilty.
Oh hallelujah!!!
2. The resurrection of Jesus made it possible for us to partake of the Newness of Life.
“…through his death the power of your sinful nature was shattered. Your old sin-loving nature was buried with him by baptism when he died; and when God the Father, with glorious power, brought him back to life again, you were given his wonderful new life to enjoy.” Romans 6:3-4 (TLB)
This is another glorious news concerning the resurrection of Jesus.
We see that in His death the nature of sin was terminated. But in His resurrection we received the Life of Christ.
Now you are partakers of His divine nature. (2 Peter 1:4). When you become born again, you share in the quality of life Christ has because of His resurrection.
It was by His resurrection we received eternal life.
“What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life” 1 Peter 3-4 (MSG)
Beloved, imagine if Christ just died and did not resurrect, what would have been the basis of our good news that we are justified, and have the newness of life?
Whenever you see or hear someone aggressively or subtly opposing the resurrection of Jesus, then you should know the adversary is working through such, to cripple your faith.
He wants to make you doubt the reality that you are justified and have the eternal life of Christ.
The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith.
REJOICE IN THIS TRUTH!

That we shall manifest the reality of the resurrection power of our Lord Jesus in every sphere of our living.

– Thank you Lord for your resurrection power.
– I am justified because Jesus was raised from the dead.
– I have the life of Christ through his resurrection.

Christ Jesus is my solid foundation.

He died for the termination of our sins and resurrected as an evidence of our newness of life. What a God we have and what a life we share in
There is no doubt that the resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith. Without the resurrection, both our faith and preaching are in vain. The resurrection is the good news of the gospel; for by the resurrection:
1. We have become partakers of the divine nature by receiving Christ’s life.
This life we have now received, was infused to us through the resurrection of Jesus (1 Peter 1:3).
2. We have been justified or declared not guilty in God’s sight.
Jesus being the Lamb of God for the sacrifice of our sins, was also the High Priest who were to present His own blood in the Most Holy place in the Heavenlies for our justification. If Jesus did not ressurect from the dead, the blood which was essential for our justification(Romans 5:9) couldn’t have been presented in the Holy of holies.
The goodnews is that we have been delivered from our sins, and we are now partakers of the divine nature. Now are we the sons of God. Without this reality, there is no gospel.

The foundation of the gospel is the death and the resurrection of Jesus our Lord.
Hallelujah!
His resurrection is good news to us.
He died for our sins and resurrection for us to be justified.
So if He hadn’t resurrected, we wouldn’t have been justified.
Oh thank you Jesus for the power of your resurrection.
I enjoy the newness of His life.

I share in the quality of life Jesus has.
I’ve received a brand new life because of Jesus’ resurrection.

I’m so much blessed because there’s no good news better and sweeter than the fact that I’M DECLARED NOT GUILTY.

If Jesus didn’t resurrect from the dead like what we call Christianity will be as dead as the other so called religion because all the leaders of this religion showed their own ways of reaching their god but never became the way for their people so they died and even some promised to bring back the keys from death
But thanks be to Jesus who died and claimed the keys from the dead by the empowerment of the father and rose again that we too even though we live in this mortal bodies but our true self is an incorruptible intact inward man Which is Jesus our very life(Galatians 2:20-23)
Because we have this Very life of Jesus by believing that he Died and resurrected
we too can infuse it into many by sharing The Unadulterated Gospel to transform them No other so called religion go on soul winning because they have no life to give
I have the life of Christ through his resurrection.
The Newness of Life

Christ has risen and as such, we are fully justified. Our newness of life in Christ Jesus is something every believer must consistently enforce, for in this, is our victorious life in Christ Jesus actualized. The devil is always going to come after us to try and deceive us but he who has the truth in him, can not be deceived.

What would have been our story of Christ had not resurrected. Our boast would have been vain.
We could emphatically say that his coming and death would have been meaningless if had not resurrected.
How vital his resurrection was
