THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT 2
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”
Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)
This is not the first time a sword was used in connection to the Word of God.
Words generally were often used in connection to a sword.
Scriptures don’t only use positive words in connection to a sword. Even negative words were also used in connection to a sword.
“Look how they belch out [insults] with their mouths; Swords [of sarcasm, ridicule, slander, and lies] are in their lips, For they say, “Who hears us?” Psalm 59:7 (Amplified)
See this as well:
“There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health” Proverbs 12:18 (KJV)
The Prophet Isaiah also used the mouth in connection to a sword.
“He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a sharpened arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.”
As you know, the mouth is an organ for utterance.
Words have the ability to cut through hearts; it has the ability to influence the state of a person’s mind and determine a person’s entire being or living.
The word of God is not an ordinary sword or ordinary machaira. The word of God is the S-word; it is the sword of the Spirit. It is the Machaira of the Spirit.
What you must know is that the word of God is not the Sword of the Spirit when it is read in the Bible. When you read and study the word of God (which is in the Bible), it refreshes your heart, nourishes you, admonishes you, builds you, and brings you into rich understanding.
However, it doesn’t make the word of God a sword yet. To use the word of God as the Sword of Spirit, it must be in your mouth.
The word mouth in Greek is “stoma”, which means the face or edge of a weapon.
Your mouth is the face or the edge of the sword of the Spirit.
To offensively use the word of God, you must speak it forth!
You have the Word of God as a sharp dagger in your mouth.
Look at the verse in The Passion Translation:
“Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God.“ Ephesians 6:17 (TPT).
Do you see it?
The Word of God spoken is a mighty spirit-word with a sharp razor!
You have to take it up and put it to work.
The forces of darkness are at war with you every day.
A fellow saint in Christ, who knows the word and uses it each day is dangerous to the enemy. You can only rebuke the attacks of the devil by the Word in your mouth.
SPEAK THE WORD!
The word of God is not an ordinary sword or ordinary machaira. The word of God is the S-word; it is the sword of the Spirit. It is the Machaira of the Spirit.

To use the word of God as the Sword of Spirit, it must be in your mouth.
I use the word of God as my sword daily

I rebuke the attacks of the devil with the word in my mouth..

Mmm,Words are swords ,whether positive or negative.
I use my words right for combat and not victory.
I don’t misuse my words
I speak right.
With the word in my mouth, I wage war with every thoughts that opposes the knowledge of Christ in my life.
Ohh Jesus
I put the Word of God on my tongue and release it for daily victorious living.
The mouth is not for eating and drinking food. It’s for fighting using the ingested word of God
Talking the word, declaring and speaking forth the word is a spiritual reality that really enforces victory. My resident Pastor (Pst. Vincent Mensah), always tells us that “You resemble your words”. This is very true because whatever you consistently utter, you become.
The word of God is Spirit and life in our mouths. Ha! I don’t keep quite. I make make great boldness of speech at all times!!
To use the word of God as the Sword of Spirit, it must be in your mouth.
Your mouth is the face or the edge of the sword of the Spirit.

With the word in my mouth, I live in victory everyday over the schemes of the adversary.
