“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!“
Romans 10:15 (KJV)
The opening verse is a continuation of a discussion on how everyone (both Jews and Gentiles) can receive Salvation. Paul the apostle asked systematic rhetorical questions which were to explain the steps to salvation.
1. Salvation is for all —both Jews and Gentiles. (Romans 10:12)
2. Anyone who shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13).
3. To call upon the name of the Lord you must first believe in the Lord. (Romans 10:14)
4. You can only believe in the Lord when you have the good news of the Lord. (Romans 10:14)
5. To hear the good news of the Lord there must be a preacher. (Romans 10:14)
6. Therefore a preacher is sent to a people with the goodnews of Jesus so that many can believe. (Romans 10:15).
When Paul the apostle said, “it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”, he was referring to Isaiah 52:7.
He established the reality that the prophecy of Isaiah was fulfilled in Christ and His disciples (take note, the disciples of Jesus are not only the early apostles. The disciples of Jesus include every saved one in Christ).
The glorious Salvation plan of God was fulfilled in Christ, and we (who are in Christ) are now the publishers of this good news of Salvation.
“How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7 (NKJV)
The Prophet Isaiah used the imagery of a messenger running from a distant city or even a battlefield bearing either good news from a king to a people, or good news from a king to another king or his people or good news from an army to their king.
Mostly when there is a battle, the fate of the people depends on the outcome of the battle. It is either the king and his people will lose their kingdom and lands or they will expand their territory or remain unconquered.
Definitely, a messenger running from a distant field will come with dirty and tattered feet. But that isn’t what matters to the people. What the people are interested in is the news the messenger is bearing.
The beauty of a messenger’s feet is in the message he bears.
When Jesus died, he didn’t slightly escape from the claws of death in the grave, He defeated death! He rose from the grave as the Lord of all.
“Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his!” Colossians 2:15 (TPT).
He has sent us to go forth into all the world to herald this glorious news of conquest.
The Lord has made you a bearer of good news. This is what it means to have beautiful feet. In every place, people must hear and experience the victory of Jesus.
There is the goodnews of how Jesus has defeated the accuser of the brethren and destroyed all the handwritings of condemnation against you. By the resurrection of Jesus, the Lord has brought justification to all who believe in Him. There is the provision for healing, perfect reconciliation and peace with God.
This is good news!

This matter is clear to me now
SALVATION IS FOR ALL —both Jews and Gentiles. (Romans 10:12)
The glorious salvation plan of God is that ALL MEN WILL BE SAVED AND NOT JUST A PARTICULAR GROUP of people.
I announce the goodnews of Jesus to my world.
This world will hear about the Jesus in me
This world will see that my Jesus is the only way, truth, light and life
What a GOOD NEWS !!!!!!!!!
