REFRESHED BY HIS TENDER CARE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS
” He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.Psalm 23:3 (Amplified)
Most sheep easily go astray when they are without a shepherd. They live scattered, wearied, cast away and hopeless.
That is the state of the world today.
” When he saw the crowds, he felt sorry for them. They were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” Matthew 9:36 (CEV)
Our Lord Jesus is the true shepherd who gives direction, comfort and total refreshment to His sheep.
There are those who don’t stay in the fold or submit to the voice or pathways of the Shepherd. They look away from the Lord and begin to wander in the wilderness of this world. They become prey to wild beasts and are destroyed.
” They were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and when they were scattered they became food for all the wild beasts” (Ezekiel 34:5)
Now if you can be a sheep, understand also that there are certain people out there in the world, who are as wild beasts looking for strayed sheep to prey on.
Some sheep also turn away from the Voice of the Good Shepherd to yield to other shepherds who lead them astray, and make them feel helpless.
“My people are lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray, causing them to roam the mountains. They have wandered from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place“ (Jeremiah 50:6).
The first phrase in the chapter 23 of Psalms:
” THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD…” is also a matter of decision or choice.
Our Lord is the Good Shepherd who will not abuse His Royal Sovereignty. He wants you to make an intentional decision to submit to Him as your Shepherd.
When you acknoweledge the Lord as the Good Shepherd of your life, you will hear His Voice.
His beautiful and tender caring Voice will lead you into His luxurious love, rest and oasis of peace.
This rejuvinates, refreshes and restores the heart of the sheep.
The Lord restores your soul, your entire being and life because He is the GOOD SHEPHERD OF YOUR SOUL.
” For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:25 (BSB)
Look at how He does it again:
“He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.
That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure… Psalm 23:2-3 (TPT)
The “RESTORE” in verse 3, is from the Hebrew word, SHÛB, which means to refresh, revive, strengthen, quicken, make to rejoice, to return home, to re-treat, to relieve, retrieve, compensate and to rescue or deliver.
This is not necessarily with the idea to return to your starting point. It is to experience the organic design of comfort by the Good shepherd. It is to live the real life the Lord has intended for you. The Shepherd brings you into a life above distress, helplessness and insecurity.
Again let me ask you, is the LORD YOUR SHEPHERD?
Trust in the comfort of the GOOD SHEPHERD!

The amazing thing is even though some time back, we turned away from the Lord,Christ Jesus came to held us together in Love and took upon Himself our sins.
The Lord being our good shepherd also means He would never leave is nor forsake us even in difficult situatios as seen in John 10 verse 10 to 11. Kababashakabababaaa!!! Gloreeey!!!
My good Shepherd always feeds me and loads me with daily benefits.
The lord is my Shepherd and I obey Him.
Ow thank you Lord, with your word you refresh my soul Always.
