THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD 3 – I ENJOY REST
“He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.”
Psalm 23:2 (NKJV)
A lonely sheep (which is outside the fold) wanders around, with uncertainty of green pastures. However, that is not the case of a sheep under the loving care and protection of a good shepherd.
From the verse 2 of Psalm 23, the Psalmist begins to illustrate and breakdown the tender care of the Shepherd.
The abundant-supply conciousness of David (the King) was by the revelation of WHO his Shepherd is and also HOW the Shepherd demonstrates his care.
The Sheep LACKS NOTHING because the Shepherd brings him into His perfect place of supply and transcendent tranquil of rest.
He practically makes His sheep to couch or settle to feast. The Shepherd doesn’t assume the sheep will automatically settle down; He intentionally makes (arranges, plots, strategizes, organizes, or programs) the sheep to couch in green pastures. And leads the sheep by the restful brooks of bliss.
The sheep doesn’t determine the green pastures or the waters to drink from. The burden and responsibility to identify the green pasture and peaceful waters, is the Shepherd’s.
All the sheep does is to follow and to enjoy. The sheep enjoys rest because the shepherd deals with fear, fight and famine.
The beautiful thing is, the LORD who is our Shepherd is all-sufficient in Himself. He doesn’t look for the green pastures; nor does He search for the still waters.
Our Shepherd is not only a person, He is also our place of satisfaction and enjoyment.
“He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.” Psalm 23:2 (TPT)
The green pastures are the resting place which is of the Shepherd Himself. This is not an external place He goes to search; It is in His luxurious love.
Our Lord Jesus (who is the Good Shepherd) is Himself our diet for feasting (John 6:35) and the life-giving Spirit who flows into us as living waters (John 7:37).
And as a good Shepherd He leads us to the oasis of peace through His tracks. These tracks are His voice.
“He walks ahead of them; and they follow him, for they recognize his voice.” John 10:4 (TLB)
Beloved, the good Shepherd leads you with His voice (His Word) which brings you into His comfort, care and love.
Just trust and enjoy the VOICE OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD.

We pray that:
– We shall not hastily choose our own paths and be led astray.
– Our hearts will not faint in following and trusting the leadership of the Lord, our Good Shepherd.

– I am at rest.
– I have seized from all my struggles and works.
– I am not anxious about the future.
– I have absolute dependence in the supply of the Lord.
– I trust and enjoy the voice of God.
– The Lord leads me daily in the oasis of peace by His voice.
– The Lord is my satisfaction and enjoyment.
– I am not need conscious.
Oh Hallelujah!
Isaiah 25:9–10 Also, at that time, people will say,
“Look at what’s happened! This is our God!
We waited for him, and he showed up and saved us!
This God is the one we waited for!
Let’s celebrate and sing the joys of his salvation.
God’s hand rests on this mountain!” As we wait on the Lord, He comes to save us. He is our Mighty Shepherd

My shepherd is a place of satisfaction.
I trust that you’re my shepherd Lord…I believe

My shepherd does not go in search of green pastures for me . He is my very diet and rest. Kabaya ????
My heart will not faint in following and trusting the leadership of the Lord, our Good Shepherd..
My Shepherd is my green pastures, still waters, etc
My Shepherd means more than Life to me
My Shepherd prepares a resting place for me in Him
How he cares and tenders me is very Luxurious.
His Luxurious Love overwhelms me.
Now may the God who brought us peace by raising from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ so that he would be the Great Shepherd of his flock; and by the power of the blood of the eternal covenant
