THE BLESSINGS OF GIVING 5

” For the service that the ministering of this fund renders does not only fully supply what is lacking to the saints (God’s people), but it also overflows in many [cries of] thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:12 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

Your trust in God and love for His assignment and the saints are demonstrated through your giving.
Also, giving is a ministration in the Church. It renders a service which benefits the entire saints.
We have previously discussed some benefits of giving such as:

There are some more blessings in giving, however I will include some of these blessings to the ones we have already discussed:

4. YOUR GIVING SUPPLY WHAT IS LACKING TO THE SAINTS.

This is refreshing!
Your giving doesn’t only cause you to increase in grace and also multiply your resources to give, it is a blessing to the saints.
It doesn’t just bless the saints in terms of their daily needs and necessities, but makes ministry possible.
There are people who thought that, the giving which was administered to the saints in the other Churches (which includes the saints in Jerusalem), was just a giving to the poor for the sake of they being poor. But the goal was to help meet the needs of the saints, so that they can do the work of the ministry with ease.
In those times, the brethren in Jerusalem for example were faced with persecutions etc, and they couldn’t do ministry, participate in the fellowship of the Lord and even do business peacefully. So those who had supplied resources to the saints.
There are some who even complain about Churches in this century using resources for Church buildings, and other materials.
The sincere fact is that, the needs of today’s Churches has increased beyond the needs of the Churches in the first century. Today’s Church (the community of the saints) is not only faced with the challenge to:

– Support the needy.

– Contribute to the spread of the gospel by financing people who have dedicated their lives for the spread of the gospel.

Today’s church is also faced with the challenge:

– To pay for meeting venue. And if they don’t want to spend more on rent, they have to build according to the standard as expected by the government (for safety reasons)

– There are so many other things done for the building up of the saints which come at a cost.

Now the goal for the various projects of the Church, is to make it possible to equip and establish the saints and also to expand God’s Kingdom mandate.

This is to establish that, what the saints need is not just what to eat, drink, wear, where to sleep and work to do.
The saints also need a place to meet and be built without any distraction.
A cheerful prompt to do it giver doesn’t complain when resources are used for other projects apart from giving to the poor.
Remember when the woman broke the alabaster box to pour the oil on Jesus, the disciples saw it as waste. Nevertheless what she did was to prepare the Lord’s body and this was to the benefit of the whole world. Giving to the poor is great but that is not the ultimate of our giving.
The ultimate focus of our giving is:
5. IT OVERFLOWS IN MANY (CRIES OF) THANKSGIVING TO GOD

People are flooded with thanksgiving not just when they have food to eat. But also when there is real transformation of the gospel in their lives.
See the thousands of souls giving thanks to God for their experience of transformation, because you support a Kingdom assignment.
Each thanksgiving to God is reckoned in your account.

” For because of the experience of this service, they glorify God that you submitted to the confession of The Gospel of The Messiah, and you became partners in your right of heirship with them and with every person” 2 Corinthians 9:13 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English)

Oh hallelujah…
Beloved celebrate every opportunity to give into the gospel.
Because many lives will thank and glorify God because of you.

Beloved are you a CHEERFUL PROMPT TO DO IT, GIVER?
