MAKING THINGS WORSE?
“Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.”
1 Chronicles 12:1 (KJV)
Jesus is not building His Church for funfair.
Jesus established the Church to prevail against the gates of hades.
The Church is the light of God in this world.
“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 (ESV).
Our Lord communicates how the gates of hell will wage war against the Church. The good news is that the gates of hades SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST THE CHURCH. Darkness cannot subdue the light of God.
Which means the Church is a formidable force. It is an army with well-armed soldiers (2 Timothy 2:3; Ephesians 6:11-13).
As a Church, we have the responsibility to tear down and subdue anything that exalts itself above the knowledge of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
This is a war over the salvation of souls. The Church has the mandate to bring deliverance to the nations.
This is WAR! And you must be involved.
PLEASE READ THE VERSE BELOW PATIENTLY:
“This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse” Matthew 12:30 (MSG).
Okay, just read the verse above again. And give it a deep thought.
With this war between the Church (light) and darkness, there are no neutral grounds.
If you are born again, you are part of the Victorious Church. God has set you in the Church at such a time as this, to make enviable contributions for the advancement of the course of Christ.
“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV)
He has set you in the Church for you to be a HELPER OF THE WAR.
Just as certain men came to David to Ziklag, and they were among the mighty men, helpers in the war. These helpers of the war were they who fought side by side with David.
Beloved, God has set you in the local Church or Ministry Assembly for you to labour side by side with your Pastor or Setman to spread the gospel of Jesus.
This is the time to take many hearts for Jesus. You must finance the gospel to villages, cities, schools, institutions and nations.
You must be a helper of the War. The Lord has put desires in your heart for greater works. Don’t relent nor sit back.
Do something now!
Be a HELPER OF THE WAR through;
– Your radical giving of your resources or financial partnership.
– Your involvement in evangelism and soul-winning.
– Your service in the local Church.
When you are not helping in this war, you are making things worse.
BE A HELPER of the War today.

That the Lord will teach our hands to make war and the skill to take strategic steps in our local churches which will make us get ministerial results.
