SIXTEEN PROJECTILES TO INTERCEPT 4
“so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.”
2 Corinthians 2:11 (ESV)
As discussed in previous episodes, ignorance is not an option when dealing with the adversary.
There are projectiles of the adversary we have to always be aware of and not be unguarded:
1. Disappointment
2. Discouragement
3. Despair
There is another crucial or most dangerous projectile of the adversary every believer has to beware of at any given time.
4. Doubt.
This has been discussed in other episodes of Machaira with Apostle Bennie.
To remind you continuously of such is to let you know how deadly it could be. The adversary used this projectile in Eden.
He made Adam and Eve doubt what God had said to them and also doubt their identity.
“Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:1-5 (KJV)
This was the beginning of man’s corruptibility.
5. Unbelief or Disbelief
Just as the adversary uses disappointment to produce discouragement and despair, he also uses doubt to produce unbelief.
Doubt is unbelief or faithlessness began. And without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
To have unbelief is also referred to as evil-heartedness.
“So search your hearts every day, my brothers and sisters, and make sure that none of you has evil or unbelief hiding within you. For it will lead you astray, and make you unresponsive to the living God.” Hebrews 3:12 (TPT)
The goal of the adversary’s weapon of unbelief is to make you unresponsive to God. When you are not responding to God, His word will not produce results in your life.
Doubt and unbelief cripple faith.
To be disappointed, will lead to discouragement and despair. These also fuel doubt which leads to unbelief. Many people became atheists by such schemes of the devil. Some people have abandoned their call because of such an attack from the adversary.
You cannot be a victim of such projectiles of the devil. Anytime you start doubting your identity, you must know it will lead you to unresponsiveness to God.
Stay alert to resist the devil.
