Beloved, don’t be afraid. The Lord knows what is at stake. He will not leave you. He is strongly holding your hand and is with you as your helper. Depend on Him at all times. Shalom!

You must intentionally place your order, and then eat your meal before you will be satisfied.

The Lord has brought us into Himself, where grace is enthroned. Yet you must intentionally take grace.

This is why most believers in Christ remain helpless and weak. They think being born again grants them automatic enjoyment of Grace. Being born again gives you free access to grace; however, to enjoy the grace, you must receive it.

Prayer is a means of Grace.

Prayer is the confident enjoyment of your access to God, through communion and communication with God.

You have been drawn into God; however, until you draw near in prayer to take grace, you will not receive more and more grace.

The more you exercise confidence of faith through prayer, the more grace you receive.

Prayer is both the means of asking and the means of creating.

In times of need, what you must receive is more grace for that specific need.

Take note of what the Psalmist said:

“Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.” Psalm 86:6 (ESV).

See verse 5 of this Psalm in the Passion Translation:

“Lord, you are so good to me, so kind in every way and ready to forgive, for your grace-fountain keeps overflowing, drenching all your lovers who pray to you.” Psalm 86:5 (TPT)

    Oh, glory to God.

The Grace of God shall drench, wet thoroughly, or soak and saturate those who pray.

When you seem to be limited in Grace, observe not only your faith and humility. Observe your consistency in prayer.

Little prayer, little grace; more prayer, more grace

It is through prayer that you cast all your cares to the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

And to even be consistent in prayer is evidence of humility. When God’s people humble themselves, they pray to Him (2 Chronicles 7:14).

“You do not have because you do not ask God.” (James 4:2)

Beloved, stay up long in prayer!

    Shalom!

    YOUR COMMUNICATION MATTERS

“He who loves purity of heart, and whose speech is gracious, will have the king as his friend”

    Proverbs 22:11 (ESV)

This is the code to walk in greatness.

It takes a man who loves the purity of heart and is gracious in speech to have the king as his friend.

The king will associate himself with the mature. And it is the direction of your thoughts and the dexterity of speech which defines your maturity.

“For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.” James 3:2 (ESV)

To be a perfect man in this context means to be a matured man. Anyone who has mastery of the tongue and knows how to speak or tame the tongue will excel in every place.

You must be intentional about how you think and also your words.  Let the Word (Wisdom) of God saturate your mind or heart and your speech.

Don’t speak as you feel, speak what is right.

Truth is not how you think, truth is how God wants you to think.

There are people whose speeches are full of ungraciousness, impoliteness, arrogance, pride, and dishonour, and will claim they are being truthful. Truth is always spoken in humility of heart and speech.

If you are truly humble at heart, you will speak with humility. If you are gracious at heart your speech will be gracious.

Your words are the description of your mindset. The mouth will speak what is in the heart.

As we looked at the Psalm 45:2:

“You are the most handsome of all. Gracious words stream from your lips. God himself has blessed you forever” (NLT)

David as a king did not use his royalty to become rude and boastful in his speech. He was gracious.

To speak graciously, also means to speak kindly and politely. It means to speak an attractive speech that is impressively articulated and fitting for the occasion.
This is not about making a faith declaration but knowing how to address situations and people through wisdom.

When you learn to speak right, you avoid unnecessary conflicts and even stagnation. Some people have lost great opportunities because of how they think and how impolite they are in speech.

Let grace be poured on your lips.

Even our Lord, Jesus, was gracious in His speech.

“Everyone spoke well of him and was amazed by the gracious words that came from his lips. “How can this be?” they asked. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” Luke 4:22 (NLT)

Jesus at every given time had the right answers to the most difficult questions.

Beloved, let gracious words proceed out of your mouth. Let your tongue be soaked with wisdom.

“The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.” Isaiah 50:4 (ESV)

It is not only your mind which must be given to training. Your tongue must be taught to be skilled at speech.

The Lord through His Word and the voice of the Holy Spirit teaches you to speak before kings.

The Lord said to Moses, “Now go! I will help you as you speak, and I will teach you what to say” (Exodus 4:12)

Your communication (speech or writing) skills will enable you to harness relationships and accomplish success.

    Think right, and speak graciously.

This is how you steer your life to glorious accomplishments.

    HEARING GOD’S VOICE 26 –

THE VOICE OF GOD Versus YOUR IMAGINATION 3

“I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly”

    Psalm 85:8 (NKJV)

From the point I have made through this discussion, you will understand that a person’s imagination can be a channel or conduit of the Voice of God or it can also be a limitation of the voice of the Lord.

When a person is born again, submits his mind to the training of the word of God, and is continuously renewed in the mind, his imagination becomes consistent with God’s thoughts.

When your imagination is fully influenced and developed by the word of God, it can perfectly transmit divine thoughts.

Such a mind does not reject the thoughts of God but rather rejects the thoughts of deception.

“Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Ephesians 4:22-23 (NLT)

The more you spend time daily to have intimate communion with the Lord, your mind is cultured and programmed to acknowledge the rhythm of God’s speaking. Within the frame of your imagination, you are able to determine which frequency of thoughts or portraits of ideas are of God and the ones that are not of God, because of the richness of the Word of God in you.

The point basically is this, God speaks to you through several proven mediums, but primarily through His word. One of these other proven mediums is your shaped mind, which is your imagination.

When your mind is renewed you can rightly discern the voice of the flesh from the voice of the Lord through your imagination.

The voice of the flesh is the communication of your selfish desires or physical feelings. The voice of the flesh makes you do what pleases or fulfill your gratification.

Your wrong actions come from the imagination of your heart.

God doesn’t put any wrong desire in a person’s heart.

“Don’t let anyone under pressure to give in to evil say, “God is trying to trip me up.” God is impervious to evil, and puts evil in no one’s way. The temptation to give in to evil comes from us and only us. We have no one to blame but the leering, seducing flare-up of our own lust. Lust gets pregnant, and has a baby: sin! Sin grows up to adulthood, and becomes a real killer.” James 1:13-15 (Message Bible).

Through your thoughts, you conceive evil desires before it manifests as sin.

Read the verse in the Easy English Bible:

“It is our own thoughts that make us do bad things. When we want to do something wrong, our thoughts lead us in a bad way. We may agree to do what our bad thoughts tell us to do. When we do that, it becomes a sin. Then, we may not stop doing those bad things. If we continue to live like that, the result of our sins is death” James 1:14-15.

Now when your mind is renewed such thoughts can be pulled down by the revelation of the word of God.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)

The word for imagination in Greek is, “logismos” which means the computation of reason or a conceit. Any reasoning of the mind which is not consistent with the knowledge of God must be cast down or pulled down. This is not done gently but violently. The Greek word is “katheireō”, which means to demolish something violently.

Your imagination must be the pathway for God’s thoughts and communication. Don’t give room for any wrong imagery to have a pass in your imagination. You have to crush those thoughts before they take root.

Let your imagination mirror inspirations transmitted to your heart through the speaking of the Holy Spirit in your heart, and the communication of the Word of God.

This is a beautiful thing about your renewed mind through the Word:

You are transformed into the image of God in Christ and you are able to discern the perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

    CHRIST COMMONWEALTH-COMMUNITY

    GOD GIVES GRACE 6 —

    Take Grace through Prayer

“So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.”

    Hebrews 4:16 (TPT)

You will always need God in all situations, for any assignment He will give you.

The assignments of the Lord will require more than your human intelligence, strength and resources.

The Heavenly mandate or vision will require Heavenly provision.

This is why God gives more Grace.

To receive more and more of the grace which God supplies you must:

    1. Exercise faith. It takes faith to receive the Grace of our Lord Jesus.

    2. Be Humble. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. Until you submit to the Lord, you have not permitted His supply to flow to you.

    3. Draw near to God through Prayer.
This is the third item I would like to bring to your attention.

Before you conclude that we are already in God as believers in Christ and don’t need to draw near to Him, take your time to glean from this perspective.

Indeed, we have already been drawn into God through Christ, however, we can continue to journey deeper and deeper into God.

By Christ’s finished work through His death and resurrection, all who were afar off are now brought near to God.

“But now [at this very moment] in Christ Jesus you who once were [so very] far away [from God] have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:13 (Amplified Bible)

    This is glorious news.

We are not strangers to God. We belong to God and are part of Him. Through the blood of Jesus, we have free access to God. Now we have fellowship with the Father. We are no longer as they who were of the Old Covenant, for through Christ’s obedience, we have been drawn into God. We can confidently enjoy communion with the Lord without any sense of condemnation.

Irrespective of this access the believer has in God, it doesn’t automatically translate into MORE AND MORE GRACE.

    For example:

Having access to a free restaurant doesn’t mean you will be satisfied automatically. You can enter the restaurant, take your seat, gist with the Chief restaurant and still not be full.

You must intentionally place your order, and then eat your meal before you will be satisfied.

The Lord has brought us into Himself, where grace is enthroned. Yet you must intentionally take grace.

This is why most believers in Christ still remain helpless and weak. They think being born again grants them automatic enjoyment of Grace. Being born again, gives you free access to grace, however, to enjoy the grace you must receive it.

Prayer is a means of Grace.

Prayer is the confident enjoyment of your access to God, through communion and communication with God.

You have been drawn into God, however, until you draw near in prayer to take grace you will not receive more and more grace.

The more you exercise confidence of faith through prayer, the more grace you receive.

Prayer is both the means of asking and the means of creating.

In time of need, what you must receive is more grace for that specific need.

Take note of what the Psalmist said:

“Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.” Psalm 86:6 (ESV).

See the verse 5 of this Psalm in the Passion Translation:

“Lord, you are so good to me, so kind in every way and ready to forgive, for your grace-fountain keeps overflowing, drenching all your lovers who pray to you.” Psalm 86:5 (TPT)

    Oh, glory to God.

    STAY LONG WITH GOD –

BE IMMERSED IN THE SPIRIT 6

“Now at this time Jesus went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.”

     Luke 6:12 (Amplified)

Have you given attention to the beauty of Jesus’ ministry?

Do you think the miracles just happened because He walked on earth as fully God.

His Divinity is undeniable, yet Jesus was also fully Man and showed us how men should commune with God to express divine glory.

    Previously we saw this scripture:

“He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.” 1 John 2:6 (NKJV)

    Glory to God.

As you are in Christ, don’t just admire His glory and wish to manifest that glory; walk as He did.

This means the things Jesus did are the things you must do to have the Jesus kind of results.

I explained previously that; the matter of being immersed in the Spirit is not a matter of methods but the new living way.

To be immersed in the Spirit is an organic experience and not mechanical.

That is why you must follow the example of Christ.

Jesus didn’t manifest glory just because He was divine, He manifested glory because He engaged organic items which enabled Him to unleash glory.

The scriptures make you see things others don’t see. For example, when one thinks of Jesus walking on water, one may think that the miracle just happened because it was Jesus.

    Not really…

The miracle of Jesus happened when He was returning from the place of prayer. Am I saying without coming from the place of prayer you cannot work the miraculous?

Pay attention closely, NO ONE WORKED GREAT MIRACLES IN THE KINGDOM WITHOUT BEING PRAYERFUL, NOT ONE!

And through the scriptures, we see the behind-the-scenes of Jesus’ life. When people looked at Jesus, they saw; a miracle worker, a great healer and began to wonder how He did those things. But through the scriptures, we see a PRAYERFUL Jesus. We see that He was one who stayed long hours in the Lord’s presence. Jesus did nothing without prayer.

And Jesus spake a parable unto them to this end, that “men ought always to pray, and not to faint”. (Luke 18:1)

(Take time to read the whole chapter of Luke 18, where Jesus explained, persistence in prayer).

Jesus demonstrated great faith and power because He knew how to stay in the place of prayer. He didn’t just teach about prayer, He was given to long prayers.

From the opening verse of this episode, you will see how Jesus spent the whole night in prayer.

He didn’t just pray, He spent long hours in prayer.

And as I have told you before, the principle of prayer is the principle of intimate communication.

Prayer is not just a moment of making demands. Prayer is a matter of communing with God.

You don’t pray only because you have something to tell God. You create time to pray mainly because you want to spend time with God.

The more you stay long with God, the more you are immersed in His presence.

Great strength is dispensed when you stay long with God in deep fellowship.

“Then Jesus returned to the disciples and found them sleeping. “Were you not able to keep watch with Me for one hour?” He asked Peter.” Matthew 26:40 (Berean Standard Bible).

The disciples couldn’t continue with Jesus even for an hour.

Don’t join those who make excuses that “it is not how long you pray but how well you pray”.

What about how well you pray long?

I tell you this, those who spend more time with God in prayer access the depths of God’s plans and purposes.

Starting from today select times to continue long hours in prayer. Also, make plans not only to pray 3 hours or 4 hours. Plan times when you will pray 6 hours, 12 hours or even 16 hours. Yes, you can continue in prayer for even 24 hours.

    Jesus prayed the whole night.

How long have you stayed with God today in prayer?

Don’t say you don’t have time, MAKE THE TIME TO PRAY!

This will lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.

BE IMMERSED IN THE SPIRIT 5

“He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”

    1 John 2:6 (NKJV)

    Are you born again?

If your answer is yes, then you are in Christ.

When you received Jesus, you became born again. The born again is also the new creation.

The new creation is the man in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)

To be in Christ is to be in the Spirit.

Thus, if you are in Christ, you must live as Christ.

When you are thinking of being immersed in the Spirit, don’t adopt human techniques and religious methods. As you are in Christ you follow the example of Christ.

The matter of being immersed in the Spirit is not a matter of methods but a new living way.

To be immersed in the Spirit is an organic experience and not mechanical.

That is why you follow the example of Christ.

Christ brought to light the reality of being soaked and saturated by the Spirit.

During Jesus’ Earth Walk, the Pharisees or the religious leaders were demonstrating spirituality according to their self-gratification, man-made rules, religious traditions and legalism.

Everyone saw them as men who were enriched with divine understanding and had high-level experience in the Spirit.

But Jesus said to them, “Making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do” Mark 7:13 (NKJV)

The word of God is organic and cannot find its full expression when mixed with mechanical methods.

To have a real organic experience of the Spirit, you don’t follow religious methods.

Indisputably, one of the crucial items to make one continuously experience the saturation of the Spirit is PRAYER.

However, your understanding and interpretation of prayer really matter.
When prayer is only to prove how spiritual one is, the motives become wrong.

The principle of prayer is the principle of intimate communication. Your understanding of this will help you remain consistent in PRAYER.

The Pharisees and the religious leaders prayed to prove their superiority over others. Prayer was showmanship to them.

However, Jesus showed us that prayer is basically a communion with God.

In most of the recorded prayers of Jesus, you will notice He often referred to God as Father. That was to establish the kind of relationship we are to have with God.

God is your Father and you must commune with Him as such. This is the example of Jesus to us. He showed us to walk consistently in the Spirit by maintaining a consistent relationship and communion with God as our Father.

Until you begin to recognise, understand and become conscious that God is your Father, you will always attempt to use mechanisms to connect to God.

Prayer will become a mechanic method and not an organic expression of your relationship with God.

You will spend more time with your loving Father, and freely share your burdens with Him. The more you spend time with the Father through prayer (intimate communication), the more the Father’s love and presence overwhelm, saturate and soak your heart.

The more you spend time with Him, the more you are immersed into His person and mindset.

Pray to the Father as Jesus did.

    Selah.

    – I am not ordinary.

    – I walk daily in this consciousness.

    Oh Thank you Lord Jesus!
