THE FIRST PROFOUND QUESTION –
WHERE ARE YOU? 2

“Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

Genesis 3:8 (NLT)

When God asked: “Where are you?”

He was not having any difficulty in locating the man, as I mentioned in the previous episode. He doesn’t ask questions because He is ignorant of the answers.

Every communication of God is to take us on a journey of understanding His person, wisdom, character and mindset. God’s questions lead men into light.

Anyone who creates an assumption that God is limited in ability to know all things, simply because He asked, “Where are you?” is already amplifying his or her short-sightedness.

The question, “Where are you?” doesn’t reveal any limitation in God. It rather exposes the limitlessness of His graciousness.

Remember this, anything God says is pregnant with the revelation of His person, wisdom, mindset and character.

God communicated deep rich matters of Himself all through the scriptures (the Old Testament portion of the Bible), however, men couldn’t grasp those rich matters because His deepest thoughts were concealed in what He said or did.
So these people read and saw things which God said and did, but they couldn’t fully comprehend the core message He was dispensing.

So the Prophet Isaiah said,

“For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” Isaiah 64:4 (KJV)

The person and the very expressions of God were made visible through Christ Jesus. (John 1:18).

It was in Christ that we were able to see the hidden things in God’s heart.

To fully comprehend the concealed realities of God, you must behold Jesus, who is the revelation of God’s character and person.

Jesus is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15).

This means the life and living of Jesus illuminated our hearts with the truth of God.

Therefore, when you put on the lens of Jesus (meaning when you read the scriptures with the understanding of the revelation of Jesus), you will have a better picture of what God was demonstrating in the question He asked.

The question “Where are you?” reveals God as the Good Shepherd-King.

How is God announcing Himself as the Good Shepherd-King?

As I explained previously, the adversary, being a deceiver, plotted to separate man from God.

For man to be separated from God is for him to become a lost sheep.

However, God’s question revealed that He was not ready to lose man. A Good Shepherd does not lose His sheep.

“For this is what the Lord God says ‘Behold, I Myself will search for My flock and seek them out.” (Ezekiel 34:11).

Oh glory!!!

In the question, “Where are you?”, we see the heartbeat of God.

And it was consummated in Jesus:

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10).

This is the wisdom and character of God’s person.

He doesn’t neglect nor ignore the lost. He takes care of His sheep and saves to the uttermost.

If the Lord is unwilling to lose the lost, is it those He has in possession that He will lose?

Beloved, the LORD is the good shepherd who cares for you and keeps you permanently in His vineyard.

Enjoy Him as the Good and loving Shepherd, who will fight for your well-being.

Shalom!

Glory to God

God doesn’t ask questions because He is ignorant of the answers but it is to take us on a journey or lead us into light. The question “Where are you?” reveals God as the Good Shepherd-King and reveals His heartbeat.
It was in Christ we were able to see the hidden things in God’s heart.

God bless you Apostle Bennie

Thank you father in the name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

While the adversary asks questions to cast doubts, God asks questions to bring us into His revelational light and to express a unique quality of Himself.

To think that God is not all knowing because He asked the question, “Where are you?” Clearly demonstrates one’s shortsightedness in understanding the intention of God.

In this very episode, when God asks, Adam where are you?”, He was ushering us to understand that He is the good shepherd-king who searches out the sheep, as He said in Exodus 3, “I myself will go down to Egypt to save my people”

And then in Ezekeil 34: 11 “I myself will search out my sheep and seek them out” and then in Luke 19: 10, “For the son of man came to seek and to save the lost”

Therefore this question of “Adam, where are you?” Brings our hearts to the loving kindness of our God.

Thank you Lord Jesus

The question where are you ? Was a pictorial representation of Matthew 11:28
God was calling unto man to come to him but man didn’t have the revelatory light of Jesus then so they misinterpreted the words of God wrongly because they allowed fear to creep into them through corruption

God is all knowing it is not that he doesn’t know where man was it was to show man a glimpse of his nature
So when he comes in his person who was and is Jesus all men will come to the full knowledge of what was done from onset

He has never left nor forsaken us
He has loved us that is why he emptied himself into us. He made a great investment into us and is unwilling to let go
That is why he calls us so we submit our will in alignment to his.
