There is nothing done for the spread of the gospel, which the adversary has not attacked or attempted to destroy. Don’t sit on the fence. Strive with your leader through prayers to God for the spread of the gospel. Selah.

DON’T HARDEN YOUR HEART TO THE WORD

“I will hear what God the LORD will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly”

Psalm 85:8 (NKJV)

The word canon is from the Greek word “kanōn” which means the “standard” or “rule”.

The collected books of the Bible, which were canonized were taken through a standardized process of testing. The canonization of the books of the Bible went through several processes. It was done not just by an individual but by Jewish Rabbis and scholars around and then later by the early Church fathers in the first century.

Jesus, our Lord recognized several books of the “Old Testament” portion of the Bible as scriptures or the Word of God. He made references to these books. He acknowledged all the present books of the Old Testament as the scriptures. The Apostles also did the same. They recognized and made references from the various books of the Old Testament. They treated the scriptures as the Word of God.

They also did the same with the writings of the other Apostles. Paul’s writings were recognized by Peter and the other saints as scriptures (2 Peter 3:15-16).

The epistles of the Apostles were read by the Churches as they do read the Old Testament scriptures. (Colossians 4:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Nehemiah 8:1-6).

These books of the Bible are scriptures and are all the outbreathing of God.

“All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]” 2 Timothy 3:16 (Amplified Bible).

All sixty-six (66) books of the Bible are the outbreathings of God. They are the articulation of the wisdom of God for our nourishment. They are the accepted, standardized canonized books which utter the statutes and ordinances of God.

These men who authored the scriptures did not do it to seek their own interests; they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21).

The Bible is the Word of God.

The book of Hebrews opens with a summary of what the Bible contains:

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.” Hebrews 1:1-2 (KJV)

The entire Bible contains the relevant revelation of God to mankind. And this revelation was progressively comprehended by the Fathers and the Prophets.

And God finally made His revelation plain and fully comprehensible through Christ Jesus. Jesus came as God’s final Word to mankind. And this final revelation or ultimate message of God to mankind has been given to us in the New Testament. The mysteries of God in the Old Testament have now been revealed in the New Testament.

This then makes the question asked valid:

God’s full and complete word to man has been spoken to us through Christ Jesus, and this message has been revealed fully in the Bible. So then does God still speak to Christians/believers?

What this should help you understand is that, since God has spoken in these last days through Jesus Christ, to even hear God, you must hear what He has said through Christ.

You must turn to what God has said in Christ, because, God’s final and ultimate means of speaking is Christ.

Jesus is the voice of God for mankind.

And how will you know what He has said through Christ?

Beloved, it is only by His word. Therefore, when you hear His voice through the word, do not harden your heart. Selah.

Men went through hell to bring the word of God which is the Bible together and this is the final message God is sounding to the world that it should surrender and accept the life of Jesus and be a part of the Corporate being
As much as the word of God is concerned
What ever you read must have the soundings or be read through the lens of Christ and this word must fall on the futile soil of your heart people paid with their lives for us to have the word so let’s utilise their sacrifice to make Gods vision a success

Oh Glory to God.
God’s message for the believer is Christ. But how can one know God’s message to us if He cannot know Christ.

The scriptures are the only books Jesus Christ made reference to in addressing any issue.

These scriptures clearly point to God’s message to man who is Christ Jesus, so by this we have the double confirmation.

One cannot know God without God’s word who is Christ and the scriptures testify of Him.

As i hear his word, i dont harden my heart.

Thank you Lord Jesus
