THE GREAT EXAMPLE OF JESUS
“And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation”
Philippians 2:5 (TPT)
As Paul the apostle was admonishing the Church in Philippi to walk and work in oneness, he pointed out the need for humility to make that a reality.
In his admonishment, he shared the greatest example of Jesus.
The example of Jesus brings clarity to how a believer has to express the divine reality.
He is the embodiment of the Godhead and the express image and portrait of the invisible God. (Colossians 1:15)
This means that the example of Jesus is the ultimate expression of divine humility.
The greatest model of divine humility is Jesus. When you emulate the example of Jesus, you live the true Kingdom life.
“And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation. He existed in the form of God, yet he gave no thought to seizing equality with God as his supreme prize. Instead he emptied himself of his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human! He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion! Because of that obedience, God exalted him and multiplied his greatness! He has now been given the greatest of all names!” Philippians 2:5-9 (TPT)
It wasn’t a high thing for Jesus to become a human. It was a demonstration of His humility.
For Jesus to live humbly means humility is a great thing and a precious quality in the Kingdom.
Humility was a precious thing in God’s saving plan. In truth, if not for the humility of Jesus, the eternal plan of God wouldn’t have been executed. The greatest work of God in the universe was accomplished when the WORD (Jesus) humbly became flesh.
Jesus, being God, humbled himself to the form of a lowly servant.
Yes, Jesus was given because God loved the world. However, He was able to be given because He humbled Himself.
Being humble is a great mystery unto greatness and increased authority.
The crucifixion of Jesus was God’s demonstration of wisdom to bring salvation to mankind. And it took the humility of Jesus for Him to exercise obedience even unto death. Thus, humility is a demonstration of God’s wisdom.
“He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion!” (Verse 8)
Jesus’ humility was so great at a point when He could have commanded legions of Angels to fight for Him (Matthew 26:53), He chose the sufferings of the cross.

It is clear that the greatest demonstration of God’s love was through the humility of Christ. And He attained and obtained a name which exudes the greatest authority in the entire universe of God.
It takes a humble heart to serve under authority, to exercise great authority.

Through the Machaira…I have come to understand the essence of belonging to a community of the saints…
Through the Machaira, I have come to understand the weight of the Kingdom Assignment; I have learnt how to be involved in ministry tasks, I have learnt not to sit on the fence or be nonchalant but rather to go all out for the progression of God’s Kingdom business.
Through the Machaira I have come to understand the weight of my calling and I’m learning to rise to the task…
Through the Machaira, I’ve had a mindset shift on matters like righteousness, holiness, my inheritance in God, priesthood, and even depression…
Through the Machaira, my character has been shaped in ways I never imagined possible…
Through the Machaira, I’m able to go out and Minister the Word of God with all boldness… compelling and teaching men to come to the understanding of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus
Through the Machaira I have come to understand that I live a superior life…I am unlimited…I don’t know defeat and I can never settle for less…
Through the Machaira, my ascension into higher realms of doing greater works has been hastened and firmly established.
The Machaira is not just a devotional tool to me…but it is the expression of the person of the Holy Spirit…leading and guiding me in my walk of faith…
Fellowshipping with the Machaira is fellowshipping with Spirit and with life because each of the words penned down in every episode are extremely Spirit-filled…always helping me to be constantly refreshed…and to remain firmly and solidly grounded!
Every part of the Machaira has been a blessing…from the title to the opening exhortation to the main message to the prayers to the declarations to the dig deeper scriptures to the Bible reading plan…..My God!!! There are literally no words to say…..
All I can say for now is that the Machaira is God’s strategic and well coordinated intervention for me in this chaotic world…
If the Machaira was a person, I would say, “I LOVE YOU ENDLESSLYYYYYY!!!!!”
When it comes to the Machaira I can talk and talk for agessssss!
By fellowshipping with the Machaira…I have recorded a number of testimonies and one which is most dear to me is Episode 757 – Be Helpful.
In this episode, Apostle made mention of the fact that we must show love to the brethren and be intentional about it.
Now what particularly moved me was when we said some people may come online posting smiling pictures and all that but deep down they’re really not happy and are going through a lot…and then Apostle admonished us to show love by checking up on such people…
While I prayed with the prayer for that episode…Holy Spirit instructed me to check up on an old friend who I had stopped talking to…not because of anything but because we had simply drifted apart.
To be very honest, I really hesitated but as an instruction from the Holy Spirit…I just had to carry out…
I also strongly believe that there is never any episode of the Machaira that is ever a coincidence…
The episodes are ALWAYS timely!
Fast forward, I checked up on the lady and it turned out that she was actually going through sooo much and had been contemplating suicide the entire week….
I was dumbfounded…
I prayed with the lady for a long time, spoke to her about the love of God…she was very refreshed she has never ever had any suicidal thoughts since that day

From my reading i have observed that for God to choose to come as man means humility is a great virtue.
Despite How God loved the world, if the Word of God does not esteem humility, the salvation plan would have been truncated.
This means that to God, humility is a key virtue especially for man. I have even realised that though man is spirit, his body is dust…sand…beneath. Sincerely, it won’t make sense for me to ever entertain pride.
I really understand now why God resists the proud but gives multiple Grace to the humble.
I remain humble

Machaira with Apostle has taught me alot in my life, it has been a blessing to me bringing me the exact word l need and today’s episode
