THE LORD IS WILLING
“Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately, his leprosy was cleansed.”
Matthew 8:3 (NKJV)
How many times have you found yourself in a situation and thought it’s the Lord who is punishing you?
It is wrong to think that the Lord afflicts you with infirmities or negative experiences.
It is also wrong to think that the Lord is not interested in your healing, your challenge and the situation which goes on in your family.
The Lord is not just interested in what goes on in your life and family; He is willing to help you out of that challenge.
Don’t sit back in sorrow or feel helpless; cast your cares to the Lord.
That was what the leper did:
“When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.“ Matthew 8:1-3 (NKJV)
He didn’t assume the Lord would automatically heal him. He let the Lord in on his situation.
And the Lord Jesus didn’t just heal him by speaking a word; before He would declare His willingness to heal the leper, the Lord was already in the process of making the leper whole.
He touched the leper.
Oh dear Lord Jesus!
To be a leper is to be unclean and must be quarantined or be separated from the city to dwell alone.
“He shall be unclean. All the days he has the sore he shall be unclean. He is unclean, and he shall dwell alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp.” Leviticus 13:46 (NKJV)

And the unclean must not be touched. (Leviticus 5:3)
Leprosy was seen to be contagious and spread through contact. However, our Lord Jesus was willing to touch the man to spread healing.
Understand that, the leper was healed not just by the touch of Jesus, but the WILLINGNESS OF JESUS to touch the leper.
In another instance from the same chapter 8 of Matthew, our Lord Jesus showed His willingness to always heal and deliver.
“Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, ‘Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” Matthew 8:5-6 (NKJV)
Now pay attention to the response of Jesus:
“And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
Did you see the WILLINGNESS OF THE LORD?
No matter the challenge going on with you, the LORD is willing to heal, deliver, and help!
Turn to Him and trust Him.
Cast all your cares unto the Lord.
Don’t be afraid or careful to talk to the Lord about all that concerns you.
He is the good Shepherd-King!
Hallelujah!
We pray, thanking the Lord for His willingness to bring change in our lives.
(Because the Lord is willing, pray, talking to Him about the help you need from Him according to His word)
