DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT MOTIVE?
“And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.”
Luke 19:31 (NKJV)
Motives make a lot of difference. They determine the extent you go for the Lord.
The right motives dispel any idea of disappointment.
Some people make themselves available and useful to the Lord because of what they will gain.
You may be easily discouraged when your motives are centered on fame, power, social standing, and financial gain.
The owners of the donkey didn’t need to be convinced with many words.
As they heard that the Master was in need of it, they didn’t argue or ask further questions.
Which means, their motive for giving out the young donkey was the LORD.
The only reason you must give your resources or even yourself to the Lord must be the LORD!
Doubtlessly, there is honour in serving the Lord.
But we must not serve the Lord because we want to be honoured or have an elevated social standing.
Your joy should be that through your service to the Lord, many lives have been blessed, and the Lord has been glorified.
Our service to the Lord blesses people.
It is not to use people as stepping stones on a ladder for your personal levitation to towering applause, validation, and prosperity.
From Luke 19, we see how a donkey became a Kingdom celebrity because it was useful to the Lord. And there have been times when the emphasis has moved to how the lonely donkey became honourable.
However, we must know that the owners’ motive was not their personal honour and fame, nor that of the donkey.
“…Because the Lord…” Luke 19:31 (NKJV)
Nobody celebrated the donkey, it was the Lord who was celebrated.
“So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him to ride on.
As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.” Luke 19:35-37

Nobody thought of the donkey, it was all about the Lord.
Your joy of service to the Lord should be that He is seen, celebrated, praised, and honoured.
John the Baptist said,
“He must increase in importance, while I must decrease in importance”, John 3:30 (Names of God Bible)
In John 6:1-15, we see a little boy who selflessly gave his lunch to Jesus, and it fed more than 5,000 people.
The young boy didn’t consider himself. His motive was this:
Jesus needs it, and I will trust Him with it.
The joy of our service and giving to the Lord is for the impact of the Lord in the lives of others.
In 2 Corinthians 12:15, Paul said,
“And for the sake of your souls, I will most gladly spend my money and myself. If I love you more, will you love me less?” (Berean Standard Bible)
From the Message Bible:
” I’d be most happy to empty my pockets, even mortgage my life, for your good. So how does it happen that the more I love you, the less I’m loved?”
Amplified:
“But I will very gladly spend [my own resources] and be utterly spent for your souls. If I love you greatly, am I to be loved less [by you]?”
And then The Passion Translation:
“ I am glad to give you myself and all I have for your spiritual good, even though it seems that the more I love you, the less you love me.”
Beloved, the Lord needs you; avail yourself for His use, not because of your selfish gains.
Be motivated and inspired by His Lordship, His love, and the impact of others.
” People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives” Proverbs 16:2 (NLT)
Selah.
(John 6:5-13; 2 Corinthians 1:6,14; James 4:3; 1 Samuel 2:3; 16:7; Proverbs 21:2; Philippians 2:20-22; Colossians 3:23)
That we shall increase in the understanding of the Lord’s intention to rightly correct our motives so that our service may not be of our selfish interests.
Job 30-32
2 YEARS PLAN

THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR MACHAIRA WITH APOSTLE BENNIE 🥰
Wow…
This episode is really thought provoking…soul searching…motive exposing…
Thank You Lord Jesus for this episode
This message has really blessed me and caused a shift in my mindset…
Previously I misunderstood what the Bible said in Luke 6:38…”Give and it will be given unto you…”
Though the Word of God is right and true in every sense of the Word…I misinterpreted it and my reason for giving was so that I could receive in an abundant measure…
But all thanks to this episode, I now know better…
“Your joy of service to the Lord should be that He is seen, celebrated, praised, and honoured.”
This has taught me that when it comes to giving, my only drive, passion, motive and motivation should be the total and absolute glorification of God…
Once the Lord has need of any of my resources(given to me by the Lord Himself), I must willingly give it up for His purpose so that lives can be blessed.
“Beloved, the Lord needs you; avail yourself for His use, not because of your selfish gains.”
I avail myself as a vessel of noble use Lord.
I decrease that Christ may increase in me.
I serve the Lord with all of my heart.
I serve the Lord with the right motive; not for fame nor any personal interest.

One key thing that matters to God is the motives of a man.
The Lord examines my motive.
I have to do what I am supposed to do unto the glory of God
My service is not of selfish interest
In whatever I do,I do as to the Lord not to man
I have the right motive
Glory to God
This episode has made me understood that
..The Lord has need of me
..The Lord has need of everything I posses
…His need for me is to produce impact in the Life of others
…My motive for giving to the Lord should primarily be that the Lord has need of Me and what I have.
Despite the numerous blessings in serving the Lord, my focus should only be that God has need for me and what i have.
FROM THE STORY OF JESUS MULTIPLYING BREAD AND FISH, THE YOUNG BOY GAVE IT OUT BECAUSE JESUS NEEDED IT
FROM THE STORY OF THE COLT, THE OWNERS KNEW THAT JESUS NEEDED IT.
FROM THIS TWO INSTANCE, IT HAS BEEN FIRMLY ESTABLISHED THAT OUR SERVICE IN WHATEVER CAPACITY WHETHER, GIVING, TIME, ATTENTION, ETC; IT SHOULD BE BECAUSE THE LORD NEEDS IT AND NOT WHAT WE WILL GET
In the Name of Jesus, I have the right motive
Thank you Lord Jesus for Machiara with Apostle Bennie
Haaa…. I serve the Lord with all of my heart
I decrease that Christ may increase in me.
I cultivate the right motive for serving the Lord
I serve the Lord with all my heart!!
Many glorify God in me!!
Philippians 2:20-22 NLT
20 I have no one else like Timothy, who genuinely cares about your welfare. 21 All the others care only for themselves and not for what matters to Jesus Christ. 22 But you know how Timothy has proved himself. Like a son with his father, he has served with me in preaching the Good News.
Colossians 3:23 NLT
23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
This thing is so subtle. You think you are serving God then after a deep introspection you realise it was all for yourself. I’m unlearning and relearning
Thank you Lord for this precious word
I am useful to the master
I serve the Lord with the right motive
He increases in importance and I decrease in importance
It’s all about him
I serve the Lord with the right motive, not for fame or any personal interests.
In the mighty name of Jesus.
Motives Are a very crucial thing in a walk or relationship with someone
It actually spells out what every was in a man’s heart from day one
The Lord gave David , Abraham , Moses etc special positions and Appellations because of their motives for doing what ever they do.
It can never be undermined that when you make the Lord your motive as he is glorified it is not in him alone but in you as well
He is a light and everywhere light shines what ever is there will be exposed so the Lord will shine his light through you in due time when your motives are in line with his glory
No one can pretend it is like pregnancy or will surly come out a day you are really provoked or put in a tight corner
When things are not really favourable that is when. We will see that you will still be you or another you will show forth
