IT STARTS FROM YOUR HEART
“Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart”
Job 22:22 (NKJV)
What you have in your heart is what distinguishes you.
The difference between those who are bringing change to their world and those who are struggling to make an impact is what they have in their heart.
Your heart is the governing seat of the Spirit.
God cannot do anything through you beyond the condition of your heart.
The state of your heart defines the extent to which you go with God.
A wicked heart will produce wickedness. A merry heart will produce joy in his or her sphere.
Whatever we see happen in our world is the product of the condition of the hearts of men who influence society.
One cannot manifest what one has not conceived in his heart. When you conceive evil, you will produce evil. When you conceive blessings and beauty, you will produce blessings and beauty.
” Peter asked Him, “Explain this parable [about what defiles a person] to us.” And He said, “Are you still so dull [and unable to put things together]? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated? But whatever [word] comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what defiles and dishonors the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts and plans, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, slanders (verbal abuse, irreverent speech, blaspheming).” Matthew 15:16-19 (Amplified Bible)

When you conceive failure, defeats, poverty, wickedness, hatred, envy and afflictions in your heart, that is what you will manifest or express.
Men, by their nature and their culturing without the word of God, are selfish at heart. And a selfish heart breeds envy, hatred, anger, wicked thoughts, etc.
“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” Jeremiah 17:9 (NLT).

This is why at your new birth in Christ, God took away the stony heart to give you the new heart of grace.
The Lord declared this through the Prophet Ezekiel,
“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.“ Ezekiel 36:25-26 (NLT).

Now in as much as at new birth the Lord gave you a responsive heart, your heart must be cultivated and nurtured with the Word of God.
The Word of God is the revelation of God’s wisdom, His goodness and character.
To demonstrate and express the character of God, you need the Word in your heart.
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:9-11 (ESV)
When your heart is cultivated by the Word of God through meditation, you conceptualise God’s goodness, prosperity, good success and glory.

A heart that is not cultivated by the word of God is deceptive and desperately wicked.
Your character is defined by the condition of your heart.

What we must understand is that it really matters what we allow into our hearts because it’s going to have a direct impact on the DECISIONS, ACTIONS, AND STEPS we will take. Especially if we want to go far with God and produce TANGIBLE, TRANS-GENERATIONAL impact.
You are a PRODUCT of the state of your HEART. According to Proverbs 23:7, the bible shows us that “As a Man thinketh, so is he”.
Proverb 4.23, the message bible also tells us to “Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.” You see, the phrase “that’s where life starts” says it all. It all starts from the heart.
Also, according to this episode, we see that the heart of the natural Man without God’s word is a selfish heart; it is also described as a Stony heart. However, as born-again believers, we give glory to God for taking away this Stony heart and replacing it with a tender, responsive heart. According to Ezekiel 36:25-26.
To conclude, for one to demonstrate and express the character of God, one must allow his heart to be cultivated, nurtured, and trained by God’s word. Apostle Paul showed us, according to Romans 12:2, that we should not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, which is also our hearts.

The heart is the seat of a man’s convictions which births His actions. A man’s heart influences what He does.
By the corruption, adam’s heart became corrupted and that influenced the heart of a normal man.
A man without Christ has a heart of deceit, wickedness, envy and slander.
When you become born again, your heart is changed from a stony to a heart of flesh however it wont produce good fruits until it is cultivated with God’s word.
The expression of God’s beauty is only unveiled by a heart that has been nurtured by God’s word.
Indeed, the heart of man is a vast field of land capable of producing either good or bad fruits.
An unattended heart results in all manner of evil actions. A Well cultivated heart with God’s Word (seed) will produce the results of the Word: joy, prosperity, success etc.
