Beloved, as long as you are in Christ and have set your focus to intensively serve His course, you will face opposition and tribulation.
But tribulation should not break you.
You are designed and built by Christ, to glory in Tribulation. Hallelujah!

ARE YOU INTENTIONAL ABOUT YOUR GROWTH IN THE LORD?
“Instead, by speaking the truth in a spirit of love, we must grow up in every way to Christ, who is the head.
Ephesians 4:15 (GNT)
Your growth in Christ is not an ACCIDENT, it is an intentional process.
Your individual growth contributes to the building up of Christ’s body.
This makes your growth essential in the increase of the body of Christ.
Doubtlessly, your personal growth in Christ is your responsibility, however, it essentially depends on the Lord’s supply.
This means your growth in Christ shouldn’t be in isolation, though you have a crucial role to play in it. Remember, you can do nothing without the Lord (John 15:5).
This should be the underlying reality of your growth in Christ.
Take responsibility for your growth by taking advantage of your partnership with the Lord in the Holy Spirit.
There is a point you have to genuinely look at yourself through the Word of Grace, to see if you are a true expression of your true self in Christ.
There is a point in your walk in Christ, where you should know you have to manifest or express Christ in a greater measure.
There is a point you have to emit greater light and exude far exceeding glory by the power of God, which is at work in you.
There is a point where you have to be an example of great faith, which works in love.
“You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.” Hebrews 5:12 (NLT)
Are you growing?
Are you being an example of faith?
Are you an example of the love of Christ?
Your growth in Christ is predictable.
There are specific things which contribute to your growth. These are intentional habits of grace or spiritual disciplines.
Cultivate the habits of:
1. fellowshipping with the Word. This trains you to hear the Lord’s voice.
2. consistent and spontaneous prayer. You develop your spiritual ear and sharpen your ability to see right visions in the Lord.
3. being an effective member or belonging to the body of Christ (through a local church)
4. becoming an expression of love every day and in all things.
5. uniquely sharing Christ with others.
Christ Jesus should be the central focus of these habits, not our self-efforts and self-gratification.
You practice them without stress when you make the goodness and the enjoyment of Christ the goal.
As you practice these habits, you may not really feel you are growing; however, as you repeat them over a period of time, you will realise you have matured and become fruitful.
You begin to see transformation in your thoughts, speech, conduct and manner of life.
When you are growing, you become an example of Christ to the saints and the world.
The focus is not on you becoming superior to the other saints.
The focus must always be, as Paul said, “THAT I MAY KNOW HIM” (Philippians 3:10)
How have you cultivated the habits of growth?
Are you intentional about your growth in the Lord?
Selah.

“My nourishment comes from the vine, to which I am a branch. My growth is rooted in Christ, and I depend on Him for my sustenance and development.

My nourishment is in the vine, to which I am a branch. My growth is rooted in Christ, I depend on Him for my sustenance and development
Apostle bennie once said the only thing that grows without intentionality is weeds and I don’t want such in my life so I’ll be intentional about my growth
I take my spiritual growth seriously.
This is very true and profound it is when a man gives himself to the above mentioned points that is fellowshipping in prayer the word being in the body and making Jesus known
it is like a wall clock you see the time going but the hour and minute hand looks stagnant
as you submit to these things there is an inward building that takes many by surprise
It renews the mind to think and act like a God-man and you repel wrong easily because you know your content and know the things that are imported and things that are rejected
Despite all that which Christ has acheived for us. It is important God does not spoon-feed us with spiritual growth.
He has given us the mandate to take intentional steps to grow spiritually, Not in the context of making us feel superior to other but to have the opportunity to know how boundless He is and also become an inspiration to others in their quest to know and love the Lord.
Apostle Paul said, “let no one despise your youth but be thou an examples unto the believers in faith, in speech, inconduct…”
Our quest for spirituality is also the growth of the body of Christ. “…till we all come to the unity of the faith, to the knowledge of the son of God, unto the measure and stature of the fulness of Christ, that we may no longer be children tossed to and fro according to sleight of men..”
Our growth into the head is so crucial in our quest for spirituality, which is why this machairawithApostleBennie devotional outlines a few things that can help us be intentional about our growth in the Lord.
First, fellowshipping on God’s word
second, cultivate a spontaneous and intense prayer life
third, being a member the body of Christ through a local church
four, becoming an expression of love, every day in all things
five, sharing Christ with others.
Thank you Lord, Jesus
