SIXTEEN PROJECTILES TO INTERCEPT 12
“so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.”
2 Corinthians 2:11 (ESV)
The adversary has no power over you as a child of God. However, through his projectiles, he subtly afflicts the believer.
With all that we have discussed you have to make a decision that you will not become a victim of these things:
1. Disappointment
2. Discouragement
3. Despair
4. Doubt
5. Disbelief or Unbelief
6. Distraction
7. Double-mindedness
8. Deception
9. Dullness
10. Deadliness
11. Delay
12. Dishonesty
13. Desecration or Defilement
The fourteenth projectile we will look at is DISOBEDIENCE.
Now, this may seem to be the sole responsibility of the believer and have nothing to do with the devil’s schemes.
Disobedience to God is not automatic. One demonstrates disobedience when doubt, disbelief and deception have fully germinated.
The adversary contributes to your disobedience through deception. He knows your disobedience will distract you from manifesting God’s glory.
To disobey is to act outside the faith. Obedience is to hear under faith. When one obeys the word of God, it is an act of faith. Obedience to God is proof of honor.
The adversary knows when you walk in disobedience you will walk outside the will of God for your life.
Men always don’t attribute their disobedience to God as anything wrong or evil. And even some acts of disobedience to God in some contexts may seem to be a good thing in others. It may be something all men celebrate or will applaud you for, but will be disobedience to God.
King Saul’s decision to disobey the Lord’s instruction on how to handle the battle with the Amalekites, cost him his throne. He was a man after His own desires but not the counsel of the Lord. He decided to keep the animals which were to be destroyed as spoils of war and for sacrificial offerings. He even spared the life of King Agag, as a showcase of his victory. But that wasn’t what God wanted. Even though in the natural and religious sense it looks like Saul did the right thing. Because to offer sacrifices to the Lord was like the right thing to do. But God’s response through Prophet Samuel wasn’t what Saul expected:
“But Samuel replied,
“What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshipping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.” 1 Samuel 15:22-23 (NLT)
Saul did what he did to satisfy his own interest. But that was a demonstration of ego and arrogance.
Always see your obedience to God, as an act of faith.
Saul (Paul the Apostle), acted differently with the Lord’s instruction. He said, “Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision” Acts 26:19 (KJV).
This was his response to the instructions he received from the Lord Jesus as he encountered Him on his way to Damascus to persecute the believers.
When you became born again, you came into the obedience of faith. Christ’s obedience became your obedience. And you were supplied with the ability of God to continue in the reality of His obedience. To obey the Lord is no longer mechanical but organic because God works in you both to will and to do (Philippians 2:13).
As a born-again, you don’t live under the rule of the devil. You are not his servant. Therefore you don’t yield and obey his voice. You are no longer part of the children of disobedience.
It is the unsaved who is referred to as the son of disobedience.
“in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience” Ephesians 2:2 (NKJV)
You are now an obedient child of God because of Jesus Christ’s obedience.
Look at what Peter the Apostle said:
“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance” 1 Peter 1:14 (ESV).
Don’t believe in the deception of the devil that you are not an obedient child of God.
The spirit of disobedience doesn’t have any authority over you. You are an obedient child of God and have the capacity to respond rightly to the Lord’s instructions.
Selah.
DECLARE THESE WORDS:
If you want to have a reality check of your life, look to Jesus. He is the reality of your life
Very profound statement.
Thank you sir
I remain humble at all times to be trained and nurtured by the word
Hallelujah!
The spirit of disobedience doesn’t have any authority over me!
Thank you Jesus!
I refuse to be disobedient to the word of God
Glory!
The passions of my former ignorance shall not be my present reality.
I am established by christ and I function in Grace. Thank you Lord!
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ.
I have the capacity to respond rightly to the instructions of God
Yes sir
I walk in the obedience of God
Glory
Thank you Lord Jesus. I am an obedient Son of God. . I have the capacity to respond rightly to the Lord’s instructions because of Jesus’ obedience to the Cross.
God works in me both to will and work for His good pleasure. Therefore I delight myself in the Lord and enjoy in obedience, the Life of His Word. I act in Faith by obeying the Voice of the Lord and acting on His word.
Thank you Apostle Sir. You’re a blessing Sir.
This is profound reality.
Disobedience to God is not automatic. One demonstrates disobedience when doubt, disbelief and deception have fully germinated.
Disobedience is as a result of the germination of doubt, disbelief and deception
The devil amd his subtle projectiles shall not prevail in me.
I am supplied with the ability of God to continue in the reality of the Obedience of Christ.
I am an obedient Child of God
I have been given the heart that obeys obeys God
What must the obedient children of God do?
“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance” 1 Peter 1:14 (ESV).
Disobedience is very costly…it cost people’s destinies..thefore i cannot afford to walk in it.
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ.
Im a child of God therefore i am a child of Obedience because I have been bestowed with the heart to obey God’s voice because of Jesus’s obedience.
Hallelujah!
Obedience is always better than sacrifice.
I always see my obedience to God, as an act of faith.
By virtue of the Holy spirit in us we have been given the ability to obey God’s voice therefore we cannot be defiled by worldly or selfish desries.
We are not ignorant of the devils schemes.
We stand strong.
We march on in the name of Jesus..
We cannot be defeated!
Hallelujah!
Wemarch on..we march strong in the name of Jesus!
Disobedience is at play when doubt, deception and unbelief are fully matured. As a new creation, I am not a disobedient child. The Lord’s word to me receives audience because the seed obedience is what made me. In practicality, I dont permit doubt and disbelief toward’s God’s word and my leaders’ instruction. The seed of rebellion is not in me. I am an obedient believer.
