SPEAK YOUR FAMILY LANGUAGE

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” 

Galatians 6:10 (NKJV)

 Your socialization can be influenced by the kind of family or household you belong to. Your family influences the way you think and act. A family is a fundamental institution or agency where a person is introduced to his/her culture and identity and develops certain behavioral patterns.

When you are born again, you are brought into God’s family. God’s family has an identity, culture, and pattern of behaviour or character. Every family’s identity is connected to the head of the family. God is the identity of His family by Himself.

One of the key items God dispenses into those who receive His life is FAITH. You become born again by the Word of God.

“for you have been born again… through the living and enduring word of God” 1 Peter 1;23 (NASB)

The Word of God produces faith in your heart (Romans 10:17).

This means anyone who is born again has FAITH. Faith is the character and currency by which the life of God is lived. The people of the household (family) of God live by Faith.

“For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”  Romans 1:17(Bereans Study Bible).

As a new creation or born again you were begotten into God’s family by faith, therefore you are to live by faith.

Living by faith is not a suggestion; it is the identity of those born into God’s household. The Church, which is the embodiment of God’s family, is a household of faith. It is the aggregation of cultured men who live, think, speak, and function by faith. The family or household of God is not a household of cowards. Anyone who belongs to this household must live, think, and act by faith.

In the household of God faith is our language, we don’t speak doubts nor do we think about impossibilities.

Hebrews 11 reveals the faith of the patriarchs and how their faith is completed in the New Testament.

“These were the true heroes, commended for their faith, yet they lived in hope without receiving the fullness of what was promised them. But now God has invited us to live in something better than what they had—faith’s fullness! This is so that they could be brought to finished perfection alongside of us.” Hebrews 11:39-40 (TPT)

In the New Testament, we have the fullness of Faith. This is because in Christ we are not just hoping for a reality to manifest. In Christ, we have the substance and reality of faith. Our walk is not because of fear or because we may fail. Our walk and communication are rooted in the victory of Christ. We don’t live as people who are in search of victory. In every situation, we live as Overcomers!

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.” 1 John 5:4 (NKJV)

Whatever or whoever is born of God, into the household of God has overcome the world through Faith!

Are you of God’s household?

Then you are part of men who function by faith. You don’t have to permit defeat and failure in your sphere because you are born of God. You don’t speak failure and defeat. You have the faith of God in you, function in that capacity.
