RUN TO THE LORD
“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:22 (ESV)
To think that God is your enemy is absurd.
God sent His only begotten son to die for you (John 3:16). He didn’t send His son to a perfect world.
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8 (NLT)
You are the focus of God’s love and kindness.
You turn away from God because you seek love in the wrong places.
GOD IS LOVE!
Do you think you have badly dishonored God, wickedly lived and opposed God’s purpose or doubted God’s power and love?
He is your greatest help, don’t turn away from Him.
There is a lot to learn from what happened between Jesus and Peter in Matthew 14:
“And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.” Matthew 14:26-32 (NKJV)

This is one of the most inspiring stories in the scriptures.
From the above verses, Jesus revealed the root of Peter’s condition: He doubted the Word of the Lord.
The issue was not really about the storm, the problem was how Peter doubted.
Yet Jesus didn’t hold it against him; He helped Peter from sinking.
Peter walked on water because he was walking on the words of Jesus until he turned away from Jesus to the boisterous wind which made him afraid.
Peter didn’t curse, he didn’t murmur, he didn’t assume Jesus was angry with him. He still trusted the saving grace of the Lord.
He shouted, “Lord, save me!”.
Beloved, no matter the situation or your failures, run to the Lord. Trust the Lord to help you.
”For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” Romans 10:13 (NKJV)
Esteem God’s HELP above your challenges. No matter how deep you have sunk into negative addictions, the defeats, the pains, the failures, debts and the ocean of troubles the hand of the Lord is not too short to save you. (Isaiah 59:1).
Hallelujah!
