PRACTICE JOY
“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice”
Philippians 4:4 (NKJV)
What do you think the adversary is after?
Your money?
Your beauty?
Your children?
Your business?
Your academic success?
Your salvation?
Your marriage?
Beloved, the adversary has always been after your eternal fulfillment of JOY!
To REJOICE is a high degree of expression and experience of joy.
It is the demonstration of a triumphant elation.
Many people rejoice at the end of their journey or after accomplishing something.
But for you in Christ, the Lord is charging you to a daily life of Joy!
This is because your life in Christ began in great rejoicing.
“And it was a happy day for him when he gave us our new lives through the truth of his Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family.” James 1:18 (TLB)
This happy day is beyond the “happiness” men experience in seasons. This is an eternal palpable expression of joy.
No wonder Jesus spoke of the joy in Heaven when a soul is saved.
“I tell you that in the same way there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one repentant sinner”. Luke 15:10 (Weymouth New Testament).
“That’s the way God responds every time one lost sinner repents and turns to him. He says to all his angels, ‘Let’s have a joyous celebration, for that one who was lost I have found!” Luke 15:10 (TPT).
This is a heavenly party because of the salvation experience.
Beloved, when you were born again into Christ, THE WHOLE OF THE HEAVENS were thrilled with this nonpareil achievement of Christ.
And that is the reality of the Kingdom of God.
“for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” Romans 14:17 (NKJV)
WHAT A LIFE!
You have been brought forth into this joy of life unto all eternity.
This is your realm. You don’t have to entertain sorrow around you no matter the situation. You have to maintain your joy. It is your daily charge to keep.
If you think there is nothing to rejoice in or be joyful about, then you must reconsider your mindset about Salvation.
Your salvation is the greatest thing that has ever happened to you.
REJOICE IN IT.
Look at the Psalmist:
“But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.” Psalm 13:5
To rejoice in the Lord is not a suggestion, it’s a COMMAND!
Paul wrote his epistle to the Philippians from prison, and there was nothing sorrowful about him. From prison, he charged the brethren to rejoice in the Lord. He never saw himself as a prisoner of Rome. He always saw himself instead as a prisoner of Christ.
What a mindset!
When Jesus rose from the dead, one of the first things He said was:
“Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?…”
It is a wonder to be sorrowful in our Kingdom!
Our strength is the JOY OF THE LORD! Do not be sorrowful. (Nehemiah 8:10).
Practice JOY!!!

WE PRAY
– Thanking God for bringing us forth into this glorious joy of life.
– That we will continue in this joy in all seasons of life no matter the situation.
