ARE YOU INCREASING IN LOVE?
“And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you” 1 Thessalonians 3:12 (KJV)

Beloved, the condition of your heart is what makes the difference in your walk with God.
You can go as far as the intensity of your love for the Lord.
We already have the Love of God dispensed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 5:5)
However, what is the extent of the love of God in your heart?
How has the love abounded?
The love of God burning in your heart will precede the great commission.
How far you can go in your journey with God, is dependent on how much His love has overflowed in your heart.
Your desire and affection; your intentional actions and your level of diligence will gravitate towards what you Love.
Your love FOR God is first influenced by the love OF God burning in your heart.
Your love for God is an outflow of His love for you.
So how much do you love God?

You can judge your love for God by:
Â
1. The time you make to pray to commune with Him and to take grace for His work.
And also how you make time for the study of the Word.
You make time for who and what you genuinely love.
Â
2. How easily are you distracted by situations? The overflowing love of God cannot be distracted.
No power or situation is strong enough to move you away from what you must do for God.
Â
3. How do you love the brethren? The extent you keep malice, find issues with people, take offense, hold grudge, envy and become bitter exposes the measure of the love of God at work in you.

4. The secret thoughts of your mind and heart are the inward measure of your love.
That is where true love is measured.
The secret thoughts of your heart are the motives or genuineness of your heart.
So, do you give in Church and yet complain in your mind or secretly to others?
Are you a cheerful giver, Do you share in the Father’s love?
Why do you serve in Church and also win souls?

5. How far do you go with the gospel of Jesus?
 How compassionate are you to see men saved?
 Are you just wishing to preach Christ to others or you are taking steps to get others saved?
When you truly have the overflowing love of Christ, you will be compelled to share and shout out the love of Christ.
You will look and create the opportunities to preach the gospel.
You will not feel pressured when you are involved in the Lord’s work.
Love is not merely about your feelings and emotions. Love is effective according to your growth in knowledge and understanding.
This is why your personal fellowship with God’s Word is important; and submitting to sound teaching of the Word of God is a necessity.

“So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover’s life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God”

– The love of Christ influences my thoughts.
-My heart is set on the Lord.
– I grow in the knowledge and understanding of God’s love for me.
– I walk in supernatural love.
– There is no place for distractions.
-There is no place for malice, envy, negative thoughts and offense.
-I walk in the absolute love of Christ.
– I love the brethren more and more.
-I am the embodiment of the love of Christ.
– I don’t feel pressured because I serve the Lord in love.

From 1corinthians13:1-8 makes it so clear that no matter the line of tongues you speak, no matter the kind of miracles and wonders you perform if it is not done out of love then it at avails to nothing
You don’t love yours neighbors as yourself, No!
You love as Christ has loved you
Romans5:5 The love of God has been shared abroad in our heart
I love the lord because he first loved me and my desires are forever set on the lord
I am an embodiment of Christ’s love
