FAITH THAT CANNOT FAIL 1
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God…Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Mark 11:22, 24 (ESV)
Miracles do happen. However, miracles don’t just happen. Miracles happen by faith.
Whatever is done in God and with God must be done by faith. As long as you are born again, your life must be lived by faith.
“…The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).
To live by faith is to live by the absolute confidence in God. The confidence that you must have in God is not abstract. Your confidence in God must be hinged on the Word of God.
Faith originates from the word. To live by faith is to live by the word of God amidst all confutative opinions.
Faith transcends a feeling or emotion. Faith is a strong believe in what God has said.
The faith which originates from the Word is the faith which is of God.
On one of Jesus’ journeys with His disciples, they came by a fig tree Jesus spoke to, and that tree had completely withered from the roots.
The disciples were surprised to see the tree all shrivelled up and dead according to the word of the Lord. Definitely it will be surprising to see a tree in that state just by a word spoken.
The disciples may have thought that the words Jesus spoke to the fig tree, were mere words. They didn’t think what He said was enough to change the condition of the fig tree.
Jesus takes advantage of the moment to explain to the disciples how to make things happen and to cause changes.
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” (Mark 11:22)
When Jesus said they should have faith in God, he didn’t mean to say they should generate and depend on their own faith. He literally said they should have the faith of God.
What causes changes is not your self-generated faith or confidence in your own efforts. What causes changes is the faith which is of God.
“Jesus replied, “Let the faith of God be in you! (Mark 11:22)
To have faith in God is to let the faith of God dwell in you.
The faith of God indwells you through His word.
It is not determined by what you see with the optical eyes. It is dependent on your confidence in God.
The faith of God doesn’t wait for the change to happen before it accepts that there is change.
Jesus explains this:
“This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours” Mark 11:24 (TPT)
Did you see it?
When some people pray, they rather want to see it happen before they believe that it has happened.
When you pray, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. When you reverse the order, you are not acting according to the faith of God.
When you pray to God by faith concerning an infirmity, believe and receive the miracle. You may feel the pain at the time when you have the faith that you have received your miracle. Sometimes the situation may seem like it cannot change.
Don’t change your conviction and confidence of the miracle. Don’t give room for doubt in your heart.
Doubt is denying the evidence of the word of God and believing what you see with your eyes and feel.At the time when Jesus spoke to the fig tree, there was no evidence that it would be shrivelled up. When He spoke there were no changes on the outside. But by faith, the change happened.
Beloved, whatever you ask the Father believe that you have received it and it will happen.
The faith of God cannot fail. You will have your miracle refuse to doubt!
Hallelujah!
