STEWARDS OF GOD’S RESOURCES 9
“So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”
Romans 14:16 (NKJV)
If you have been following Machaira with Apostle Bennie and this topic (Stewards of God’s Resources), you will understand that God made all things to fulfill His purpose. There cannot be purpose without a space or place for its pursuits.
God’s goal for this physical world or earth is for the expression of Himself and His Kingdom.
One of the most important assets given to man for the fulfillment of God’s purpose and vision is TIME.
Though God is eternal and has also set eternity in our hearts, He has set a determined time for each person to accomplish His assignment on Earth.
With the things God has entrusted to us to accomplish we don’t have eternity to fulfill it; though we have eternity to enjoy all that we will accomplish. Our operation on earth is time-bound.
Jesus said, “We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.” John 9:4 (NLT)
The time you have, is to carry out God’s task assigned to you.
Time is an asset available for every person whether born again or not. However, what each person will achieve within time will be with the person for eternity.
This is what makes time a sensitive asset or resource for man. It must not be wasted or misused since whatever you do with time will be an impression of you all through eternity. As I have explained before, time is a spot in eternity. However, whatever is done in time has a lot of impact in eternity.
Jesus stepped into time and all that which He accomplished within the space of about 33 years, produced and established a nonpareil impact in eternity.
There are two crucial things which define your relevance in the Kingdom:
1. How you serve God’s purpose with your entire being.
2. What you use the time you have for.
These are two resources which are freely available for all men: Your being and Time.
All men are by themselves God’s investment and all men also have the gift of time. Both your being and time are great assets. What you do with yourself and time determines your relevance in the Kingdom of God.
I have already explained the need to serve the LORD with all your being. Now also, as you may know, no single person has more time than the other. Everyone has the same quantity of 60 seconds, 60 minutes and 24 hours each day. No one has 26 hours a day
The quality of your time or the day is by the investment you make with it.
How are you using your time to serve God and fulfill His purpose?
Your stewardship in God’s Kingdom includes:
– how you take care of things and utilize them for the purpose of God.
– how you take care of yourself and also live to serve His purpose.
– how you used time for God’s purpose.
Your entire being is the first and the most important investment of God for His Kingdom. And the time you have is a resource given to you by God to carry out your mission.
When the time to carry out God’s purpose is consummated, you will one day make an account to God, as to how you lived your life and how you used the time given you to serve His purpose.
Sometimes people assume that the days to work will not come to an end.
The Psalmist knowing this asked of the Lord:
“Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction.” Psalm 90:12 (TPT)
Let me resound this to you; YOU DON’T HAVE ETERNITY TO CARRY OUT GOD’S ASSIGNMENT. You have eternity to enjoy the reward of what you did in time.
You must always remember that the time you have will not be forever. Can’t you see how each day of the week doesn’t exist forever?
If you patiently participate in the Bible reading plan and even fellowship with each episode of Machaira with Apostle Bennie, you will observe that the days are not waiting.
Read Psalm 90:12 from the Contemporary English Version:
“Teach us to use wisely all the time we have.”
What are you doing with all the time you have?
How is God glorified in each day of your life?
How are you urgently carrying out God’s assignment in your life?
When all of time has consummated will God celebrate you as a good and faithful steward?
Will you be reckoned as good and faithful steward?
Beloved, make the most of your time!
Selah.
– I am a faithful steward.
