GOD GIVES GRACE 1
“But He gives us more grace. This is why it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
James 4:6 (Berean Standard Bible)
God doesn’t just give things. God first gives Himself and supplies His grace to you.
Most people have not yet understood God’s operational system.
They sometimes feel disappointed and assume God doesn’t answer their prayers.
When they pray to God for money, they even expect money to rain down from Heaven on them. They want to miraculously find a bag of money falling from the sky on their way.
When you pray to God for a house, He will not literally command a house to emerge from the land.
Some people think whenever they ask God for things, they must literally see the things presented to them as the “manna” fell from Heaven and the Lord blew quail into the Israelite’s camp.
Such experiences don’t necessarily produce faith or a strong belief in God. Strong faith is rooted in your understanding of who God is and not just His acts.
Seeing the acts of God is great, however, understanding God’s character is exceedingly glorious.
Understanding God’s character or His ways establishes you and gives you the right posture for living.
God doesn’t want you just to experience miracles, He wants you to understand the machinery or system behind the miracles. He wants you to master the intelligence and ability to make you live in the miraculous.
God replicates His works through systems. When you lay hold on those systems, you can always reproduce and multiply a miracle.
This was the difference between Moses and the Israelites. The Israelites saw the great deeds of God and still doubted God.
“He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the sons of Israel” Psalm 103:7 (NASB)
The Israelites didn’t know that God was showing them His deeds so that He would usher them into faith. And the thing is, when one steps into faith, the person receives GRACE.
God shows you what He can do so that you will seek to understand His person and submit to Him. When you submit or humble yourself to the Lord He imparts you with His grace.
As a believer in Christ, God doesn’t want you to pursue things, He wants to be at the centre of your thoughts so that He will impart you with His grace.
It doesn’t matter the target, the projects, assignments or tasks you must undertake, God will first give you grace.
Whatever you attract is a result of the grace you carry.
Things respond to grace and not necessarily your needs.
Many needy people have not experienced abundant supply.
There are times when believers think some people receive more help than others. The secret is not the help which gravitates towards men, the secret is the level of grace these men have.
This is what God wants to do for you every day; He wants to give you more grace at every given time.
Does it look like you are overwhelmed by a task and you don’t have what it takes to accomplish an assignment?
Refuse to worry and to look down on yourself. Refuse to accept that it cannot be done.
Make a decision to increase in Grace. Turn to God for more grace!
Beloved, GOD GIVES GRACE!
Hallelujah!
