HOW TO GET A SOUL SAVED 3 (ABUNDANT FRUIT-BEARERS 11)

Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest…” Matthew 9:38 (Legacy Standard Bible).

After Jesus had seen the riped harvest, He asked His disciples to pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest.
The prayer maybe focused on the Lord of sending more labourers.

Nevertheless, the benefits of prayer goes beyond the answers of prayer. The benefits of prayer includes:
– the impartation and impact of prayer in your spirit.
– the intensification of your communion with the Lord.
Praying to the Lord is also an evidence of trust in the Lord’s supply. It proves that you have the willing mind and heart to work with the Lord.

Jesus said, “for without me you can do nothing…” (John 15:5)

As we pray to the Lord of the harvest; to send more labourers or workers, we are indirectly praying that the Lord will also send us.
The first person the Lord wants to send is you. Therefore through prayer, you avail yourself more and more.
You are sent forth to the field through prayer.

See this:
“And while they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2 (LSB).

You cannot be involved in getting souls saved without first being committed to prayer.
You must make prayer your daily habit.
Set intentional prayer times and you can have spontaneous times to pray as the Lord prompts you.
Pray consistently everyday and unceasingly. (1 Thessalonians 5:16).
You are able to do that when you set consistent prayer times.
Our Lord Jesus, at several occasions in the scriptures prayed all through the night.

“And it came to pass in those days, He went out to the mountain to pray, and He was spending the night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12 (Berean Literal Bible)

See the following:
Mark 6:46
“After bidding them farewell, He left for the mountain to pray”
Mark 1:35

“In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.”
Matthew 14:23

“After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.”
Luke 5:16

“But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.”

From these scriptures we see the Lord’s praying habit.
Remember, we are sent to this world as the Father sent Jesus. (John 20:21). What He did we are to do and even greater. (John 14:12).
Therefore we cannot pray less. We have to pray more to see much more results.
The gospel doesn’t just spread because you preach. People don’t honour and receive the gospel, just because its powerful. It is through consistent earnest prayers, we cause the gospel to spread and to be honoured.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, pray continually for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be honored [triumphantly celebrated and glorified], just as it was with you;” 2 Thessalonians 3:1 (Amplified Bible)

There are also those who persecute and oppose the gospel. They set themselves up not to allow the gospel to spread. The plot wickedly to prevent many to receive the good news of Jesus.
We don’t wage war through physical means. We win and overcome such opposition through prayer.

“and [pray] that we will be rescued from perverse and evil men; for not everyone has the faith. But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you [setting you on a firm foundation] and will protect and guard you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 (Amplified Bible).

It is not the many words you speak that transforms hearts. It is how your words are saturated with power. (1 Thessalonians 1:5).
“…The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” James 5:16 (Amplified Bible)

Beloved, PRAY!
DIG DEEPER

(Luke 18:1; Romans 12:12; Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; )

WE PRAY

That we will walk in the discipline of prayer to produce tremendous power for the increase and multiplication of souls.

Truly! If you can’t be moved to pray, you won’t be moved to reach a soul! The first is key! Thank you Sir!
