THE FELLOWSHIP AND
SOURCE OF TRUE WISDOM 3
“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”
Proverbs 2:6 (KJV)
Until you understand the value of Pure Wisdom you may not know how impossible it is to access it outside God.
You are being reminded and concientized through these episodes, that you will fully understand this truth that Pure Wisdom can only be accessed in God.
There are times when people hear or read things like this and only see it as a mere form of religious fanatism.
As I mentioned previously, the created things depict the creative handiwork of Wisdom but not the embodiment of Wisdom.
Just as all things have their original source, God is the originality of True Wisdom.
The Wisdom of God is transfused into you when you fully set your heart on God.
Because men have cultured their minds toward religious mysticism, they don’t embrace the simplicity of divine things. They will rather prefer complex rituals through complex means to attain great Wisdom. Yet God through His Word has revealed the root and embodiment of His Wisdom.
Take a look at how Job establishes the reality that, you can enjoy the fellowship of Wisdom only in God, for He alone is the source of Wisdom.
See Job 28 (NKJV):
“Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place where gold is refined.” v 1
“That path no bird knows, nor has the falcon’s eye seen it. The proud lions have not trodden it, nor has the fierce lion passed over it.” v 7-8
“Man does not know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living.
The deep says, ‘It is not in me’; and the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’
It cannot be purchased for gold, nor can silver be weighed for its price.
It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, in precious onyx or sapphire.
Neither gold nor crystal can equal it, nor can it be exchanged for jewelry of fine gold.
No mention shall be made of coral or quartz,
For the price of wisdom is above rubies.
The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, nor can it be valued in pure gold.” v 13 – 19
“It is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the birds of the air.
Destruction and Death say, ‘We have heard a report about it with our ears.’” v. 21 – 22
So now we see that all the created things men would boast of as sources of Wisdom have never had a grip on what Wisdom is at all.
Now twice in Job 28 (verses 12 and 20), Job asks:
“But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?” v. 12
“From where then does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding?” v. 20
The point Job kept making is this:
The most complex and mysterious places of men are not the embodiment of True Wisdom.
Jobs answer to his rhetoric question was this:
“God understands its way, and He knows its place.” v. 23
” Then He saw wisdom and declared it;
He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.” v 27.
Now after Job brings his readers to the realization of God as the source of Wisdom, he gives man the code by which he can fellowship with Wisdom:
“And to man He said,
‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom…” v. 28
Wisdom is the fear of the Lord. The same thing is also said in Proverbs 9:10:
“Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.” (NLT).
The fear of the Lord is the acknowledgement, submission and honor of God’s authority. It is a deep godly reverence which determines how God’s counsel influences the way you live.
This is the beginning of Wisdom.
Selah!
– our hearts will be trained to deeply and highly revere the authority and person of God.
– the counsel of God will strongly influence our lives and affect the way we live unto His purpose and glory.
In the name of Jesus!
The quest of many to accumulate knowledge from strange books thinking that’s the means to acquiring some hidden wisdom is sad. These are those the Bibles the Bible refers to as “ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:7). Indeed wisdom has only source. If its not from above, then forget it.
#The Fear of the Lord
Going through mystical systematic steps of acquiring wisdom is not the way to wisdom. Wisdom is not found in the created things as some people suppose.
From today’s machaira, only God was said to see wisdom and search her out. And only God can give us wisdom when we deeply reverence Him. The fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.
Thank you Sir!
The accumulation of knowledge is not wisdom. The emptying of the soul in sunny or cold places is not wisdom. The art of sitting gazing into the sky for some supernatural enlightenment is not wisdom. Wisdom cannot be found by man without God. Like Job said no fierce lion has trodden that path of wisdom.
But God has made it simple for us to have access to it. Yet, men dont value the approach of God, hence they can never have it.
Awesome piece!
I love it!
Machaira is an awesome treasure chest…using a magnifying glass on the scriptures to make it more edible for me.
It goes down to the simplest level of understanding and provides an optimal approach to acquire wisdom and faith through the Holy Scriptures.
In here today, I have added to my knowledge that wisdom is locked up in God. The key is the fear of the Lord…or deep reverence for the Lord.
True Wisdom is not found in complicated human constructs. I refuse to seek wisdom from the mere crafts of mortals. I refuse to be ordinary. For true wisdom is realised the moment a man consciously acknowledges God and seeks/align himself to the Almighty’s counsel though His word!.
Thank you Jesus!
Precepts upon precepts, thoughts upon thoughts, verities upon verities all together bringing me Into the understanding and participation of the realities of the kingdom.
Thank You Apostle Bennie Sir for these sound codes.
Very detailed to the core…
Very detailed to the core
God bless our man of God
But where can wisdom be found?
One of the deepest questions.
But thanks be to God, for by His word, hath made known to us, the very truths to the world’s guesses and opinions.
Through these episodes of machaira, I have been enlightened and have understood that wisdom does not come from man, neither does it come from experience nor from the excellence of creation but the Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the foundation
Haaaa
“The Wisdom of God is transfused into you when you fully set your heart on God”.
I set my heart on God…. Heyaaa
True wisdom comes from the mouth of God. It’s obvious in many ways…that wisdom comes from God; yet, on the heals of Proverbs 2:1-5, Solomon punctuates the point in verse 6 as a point of finality.
Oh I fear the Lord
Where then is the place of Wisdom??
But our dearest man of God has made it clear that wisdom is not found in any place.
And Colossians 2:3 shows us the path.
Creation shows a partial content of God and his enormous Wisdom
As it was stated. What comes out of a man shows his true content so the wisdom of God is his word and a mans word differeth not from himself .
When we check how the wisdom of God worked in our fathers of Old it depicted simplicity but very profound. An perfect example is Solomon how he just made a simple judgement upon who was the right mother of the child was very simple but very deep
The root and embodiment of Wisdom is God Himself.
The code by which one can fellowship with Wisdom is your reverence for God
My goodness.
It’s interesting to know that the things that look mysterious and complex do not embody wisdom. They don’t even know where it could be found.
Hehehe
God is the only one who knows where to find wisdom.
He is the embodiment of wisdom itself.
And here come the banger. So simple: FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM
Whoosh!
…and the breath of the Almighty giveth him understanding ”
Without the fear of the Lord I will not walk in wisdom …there will be no understanding in any counsel given by the Lord. Therefore my fear for God is very essential in me gaining true wisdom and understanding in all things.Thank you Jesus
The most complex and mysterious places are not the embodiment of True Wisdom.
Nothing can change the fact that God is the source of true and pure wisdom . For God is his wisdom and you cannot separate him from his wisdom
The code by which men can fellowship with wisdom is the fear of God !!
And….The fear of the Lord is the acknowledgement, submission and honor of God’s authority. It is a deep godly reverence which determines how God’s counsel influences the way you live.
I refuse to esteem created things above God who is the true source of wisdom. My influence is in the true council of God
Wow
Thank you Lord Jesus for your word which is wisdom
Thank you Lord Jesus
I live in your Godly reverence
Joshua 10 verse 4
4 “Come up and help me attack Gibeon,” he said, “because it has made peace with Joshua and the Israelites.”
Thank you Apostle for the opportunity
today’s Bible reading inspired me with a lot of wisdom
The first thing I learnt was that although Gibeon tricked the Israelites into allying with them through wisdom, it saved their lives and the Lord’s favor came upon the Gibeons because God graced Israel to fight for them.
i have personally learned that we have to honor and acknowledge grace so that we can benefit from it

Glorrreeeeeeyyy. The world must hear of this
So this means that wisdom is not found anywhere else than in God. Where then is the place of learning ? Does that mean we acquire wisdom supernaturally ?
The created things depict the creative handiwork of Wisdom but the embodiment of Wisdom is God Himself.
As I fully set my heart on God, His wisdom is transfused into me.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
I acknowledge, submit and honour the authority of God.
For this is the fear of the Lord.
My heart is trained to deeply and highly revere the authority and person of God.
I refuse to esteem any created thing above God who is the source of true wisdom.
I AM WISE!
[…] We have previously discussed the source of True Wisdom. And in that discussion, we also saw that the Wisdom which is from above is embodied in the Word of God. […]
