EPISODE 377 – DEALING WITH DECEPTION 3

Take up the shield of faith and the Word of God as the sword of the Spirit, to also wage warfare against those thoughts.

In these last days, the adversary aggressively throws more arrows of deceit and doubts at men. (You know the last days began from the beginning of the Church until now).

Many are finding reasons not to believe and receive Jesus because of the deception of the devil.

The adversary doesn’t come as the scariest being with two horns.

The scripture says,

“But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14 (NLT).

There are many who fall for the deception of the adversary and rather consider it as enlightenment.

For example:

How can one call their traditional religion or idol worship true enlightenment?

God, after He made man, gave him dominion.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV).

Now, isn’t it the blindness of deception for men to rather think it is better to worship and bow to the created things instead of having dominion and subduing them?

They call idol worship their true heritage.

 Really?

This is nothing but an identity crisis.

“Throughout human history the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor him as God or even be thankful for his kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like. This left them with nothing but misguided hearts, steeped in moral darkness. Although claiming to be super-intelligent, they were in fact shallow fools. For only a fool would trade the unfading splendor of the immortal God to worship the fading image of other humans, idols made to look like people, animals, birds, and even creeping reptiles!” Romans 1:21-23 (TPT).

Listen, there is no true light which is of the devil. He only masquerades himself as an angel of light, but he is not an angel of light. There is no light in him!

Don’t be ignorant of his deceptive devices.

To identify the deceptive schemes of the adversary, look out for any thought which attempts to exalt itself above the knowledge of Christ.

There is a thin line between the revelation of Jesus and the deception of the adversary. The adversary presents his deceptive thoughts as a deeper revelation. Beware, they are no revelation at all.

“We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One” 2 Corinthians 10:5 (TPT).

Don’t entertain any deceptive fantasy which opposes God and the gospel of Jesus.

Let the gospel of Jesus be the only message which prevails in your heart. Don’t give your mind to another gospel. There is only one gospel of Jesus.

Any thought pattern which paints a different picture of God in your heart, apart from what Jesus has brought to us is a deceptive arrow.

Confront that deception with the true revelation of Jesus.

Don’t accept any thought which makes you think there are more alternatives to express God apart from Jesus.

Don’t accept any thought which amplifies selfishness and so-called “self-love”, apart from the true revelation of the love of God.

Any thought pattern which focuses on you and does not consummate into bringing glory to God is a hidden ice to shipwreck your faith.

Stay alert in the reality of Jesus.
