GOD’S GOT YOUR BACK 2

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not”

Lamentations 3:22 (KJV)

The Mercy of God shows up for you when you are caught or to be caught unawares by a challenge.

No matter how you try to anticipate evil or not to be surprised by anything negative, there may be some unexpected situations which will overwhelm you. However, you shall not be consumed by the mercy of God.

Mercy is God’s unique quality which is exclusive to Him; it does not allow Him to overlook the weak and helpless. He provides a hand of protection and preservation to the helpless.

The adversary plots and unleashes his evil attacks at unexpected times.

GOD’S MERCIES ENDURES FOREVER!

After the Israelites left Egypt, Pharaoh made a decision to pursue them.

(See Exodus 14: 1-31).

Before the Egyptians caught up with them, God’s Mercy showed up.

Pharaoh pursued the Israelites with all of his best chariots. (Exodus 14:7).

“But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord. And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness” Exodus 14:9-12 (KJV).

You will notice the Israelites were not ready for a fight. And also they weren’t a people with great faith in God. Which means their faith wasn’t enough to give them victory over the Egyptians.

They had the mindset of slaves. Most of them were born and raised into slavery. Which means by their own intelligence, mindset and military strength they had no chance of victory against the Egyptians.

They demonstrated so much faithlessness and murmured against God.

Pharoah’s pursuit was also intense. He was after them all morning and all night. He was not ready to give up, neither was he going to give them rest.

“And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.” Exodus 14:19-20 (KJV).

God didn’t turn away from the Israelites. By His Mercy, He defended them all night.

 No matter how persistent the devil or your enemies will be in their evil intentions. God has your back.

If God stood behind over 2 million Israelites and helped them to cross the Red Sea, is it you He cannot defend?

God’s strategic plan for you cannot fail.

Lazarus was raised from the dead by Jesus according to His mercy and compassion. (John 11:30-36).

There was no hope. And where was even the faith of Lazarus?

He was raised according to the Mercy of God.

No matter your weaknesses, and overwhelming challenge, trust in God’s unfailing mercies. At a point when your faith seems to fail, turn to God’s mercies.

His MERCIES ENDURES FOREVER!
