YOU HAVE THE FAITH OF GOD
“For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “THE JUST and UPRIGHT SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”
Romans 1:17 (Amplified)
How many times have people felt faithless because they didn’t achieve one result or the other?
Most people in Christ find it difficult to accept that they have faith. They always think they need to pray to God for faith.
When they pray for healing, and they don’t see it, they sadly conclude:
“I don’t think I have faith”.
The above thought is one of the deceptive thoughts the adversary sows in the hearts of certain brethren. The adversary is always interested in making you feel you don’t have the right mindset about yourself.
No one originates faith; faith is supplied to you. The faith of God is supplied by God.
Even some preachers make such utterances about some saints. When they pray for people and they don’t see the results, they begin to blame the saints, saying: “It didn’t happen because you didn’t have faith”.
That is not what it really is.
And mostly, this verse of scripture is referenced:
“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 (NKJV)
Jesus wasn’t blaming his disciples here. He was helping them understand their state in God. Even though His disciples were with Him, they had not yet received the life of God.
And clearly, they had not experienced the germination of faith in their hearts.
Get this: there is a difference between the state of the disciples before the resurrection of Jesus and after the resurrection of Jesus. In resurrection, the divine things germinated in the hearts of the disciples.
Are you born again?
Are you in Christ?
Then Jesus wouldn’t tell you, “If you have faith as a mustard seed…”
This is what Jesus says when He looks at you:
“Live by faith because you are just”.
Anyone who is just or righteous before God has faith. Because you can only be just by faith. (Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3).
As a born-again, you must know that you are Just. To be Just is to be righteous. And you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Others may also make reference to this verse of scripture below:
“And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.” 2 Thessalonians 3:2 (KJV).
When Paul made this statement, he wasn’t referring to the brethren. He was conscientizing the brethren on why they have to take his prayer request seriously. Not all the men in the world are like the brethren. Those who are not in Christ don’t have faith and are not of the faith of Jesus.
Faith begins with the infusion of the word of God. The day you fully received the word of God, faith came into your heart. (Romans 10:17).
At new birth, no one received more faith than the other. We all received the same measure of faith.
“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you.” Romans 12:3 (Berean Study Bible).
God has given each of the saints the measure of faith. This measure of faith is the faith of Jesus.
You are not devoid of faith. You have the faith of Jesus.
Hallelujah.
That we shall walk in the consciousness of the faith of Jesus in our hearts every day.
In the name of Jesus.
1 Peter 3-4
– My heart is infused with faith.
– I have the faith of Jesus!
– I walk in the consciousness of faith every day.
– I have faith! I have faith!
Hallelujah!
