CHRIST’S WON FREEDOM WASN’T PARTIAL
“Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us freeānot partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past”Ā
Galatians 5:1 (TPT)
Ā
Within this period of hustle and bustle, many people become too focus on what they have attained by their own efforts.
Ā
They translate their efforts to make money, into their relationship with God. They use the same method of worldly market sense to judge how God relates with them.
Ā
They feel they are not righteous until they do something for God or pay for their sins. To them the fairness of life is to make sure you buy or pay for what you owe and what you want to own. There are some people who received Jesus when they heard the gospel concerning His death for the salvation of men. Yet, they still think they owe God.
Some people feel their wrongs and debts are so huge the blood of Jesus is not enough toĀ justify them.
Others also think the blood of Jesus played a role in their salvation, however, their good works makes the salvation complete.
Ā
Well, this is no news, that is how men have always thought and lived. It seems to be woven into the natural genes of men to hardly accept the beautiful glorious news of their salvation through Christ Jesus.
Ā
Paul says, “for their minds have been blinded by the god of this age, leaving them in unbelief. Their blindness keeps them from seeing the dayspring light of the wonderful news of the glory of Jesus Christ, who is the divine image of God.“Ā 2 Corinthians 4:4 (TPT)
Ā
The god of this world has a way of using certain religious concepts to keep people in bondage.
There are many others who still donāt believe the blood of Jesus was enough to satisfy the penalty of sin.
They still believe in animals sacrifices and their good works to be saved. For animal sacrifices, they are obsolete; they are insufficient to make anyone righteous. (See Hebrews 10:1-14).
Ā
And concerning your good works, or obedience to religious regulations, they cannot make you righteous or free.
Ā
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.“Ā Ephesians 2:8-9
However, your good works are fruits of your salvation and the love of God in your heart.
Living under the bondage of religious regulations, makes you think anything free is not complete until you do something to make you feel you really earned it or worked for it.
Ā
This makes you doubt the finished work of Christ and keeps you in bondage.
Look, the salvation we have received in Christ isĀ free but it is not cheap.
Precious one, you have been made free from the regulations of religion and the demands of the law, through Christ Jesus.
āAnd you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions,Ā Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared [j]completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.ā Colossians 2:13-14 (Amplified Bible).
Ā
Let no one use religious systems and regulations to steal your freedom in Christ. He nailed it to the cross, and wiped the records of your wrongs, slate clean. Give no one chance to squander Christās hard-won freedom for you.
Ā
“I am emphatic about this. The moment any one of you submits to circumcision or any other rule-keeping system, at that same moment Christās hard-won gift of freedom is squandered. I repeat my warning: The person who accepts the ways of circumcision trades all the advantages of the free life in Christ for the obligations of the slave life of the law.”Ā Galatians 5:2-3 (The Message)
Christās hard-won freedom wasnāt partial.
It doesnāt need your self-effort to make it complete. For it is completely wonderful and eternally established.

WE PRAY
That our minds will be stayed on the gospel of our Lord Jesus that we will not depend on our works but continue in the glory and liberty of the gospel.
