PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE
“by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature…” 2 Peter 1:4 (NKJV)

Whenever there is a discussion on “CO-LABOURING WITH GOD” or “PARTNERING WITH GOD”; this question often comes up:
How can frail man partner or co-labour with God?
And some people conclude that, man cannot be at the level to partner with God. God is enough to do what He wants to do. He doesn’t need any man to do what He wants to do. Well, these may sound like a humble thought, but it is not consistent with scriptures. All through scriptures and at different times, we see God working together with His chosen men to achieve His plan. God worked with David to bring great victory to Israel.

Consider Gideon and Sampson; how about the building of an ark?
God didn’t come down to build the ark, He worked through Noah. I believe you know God had to work through Moses to bring Israel out of Egypt. Now in the New Testament (I am not talking about the new testament portion of the Bible, but the New Testament economy), God is not just working through willing men. He has made it possible that all who shall receive the Life of Christ, may be partakers of His nature. At new birth, you received the life and the nature of God. Which means you are not some frail man, you are a new man with the divine life and nature. The new creation in Christ is not a mere man. The new creation in Christ is the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). And also God has given unto you, all things that pertain to life and godliness. You have the ability to express God. All that you need to walk with God has been given you. You have the divine life of God in you, His righteousness, His holiness, His wisdom and the inward capacity to carry God on your inside (for greater is He that is in you).

As a new creation you are not ordinary. You have the capacity to be mingled with God and to function with Him.
