LOVING JESUS 2 (God’s Love Language 7)

‘Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him’ John 14:23 (NKJV)
Â
Jesus reveals in the opening verse the results of loving Him.
Â
Keeping (obeying or doing) His word is a product or the results of the love of Christ in you.
You cannot keep His word without His love.
Â
And the Lord Jesus is all perfect and glorious that you love Him by taking delight in Him.
Â
We saw how the Father loved His Son by delighting in Him. Even the Father loved Him by being well pleased in Him. (Luke 3:22; Matthew 17:5).
Â
Essentially, to love Jesus is to delight in Him.
Â
As I said previously, Jesus is so perfect you can only love Him by delighting or being pleased in Him. As you delight and enjoy the Lord Jesus, His words will only be a treasure of life and hope for your living.
Â
Keeping His Words will not be a list of rules to anxiously obey.
Â
It will be Life to you.
Â
Himself said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are lif* ” John 6:63 (NKJV)
Â
Whatever Jesus said to those He specially loved, are to produce life and joy in them.
Speaking to His disciples, at the eve of His departure He affirmed, “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” John 15:11 (NKJV).

Now this was also said after He spoke again about, “If you keep my commandments…” (John 15:10).
Â
Now the Lord must be your delight as His love is in You. For the Lord to be your delight means, He must be your craving and pleasure. Your satisfaction must be the Lord. To love the Lord is to value, be awe-struck, overwhelmed, enjoy and highly esteem Him above all things.Â

To love the Lord is for Him to be your desire.
Â
When you love the Lord, you will not desire the world.
You will not crave for the praise of men. Your emotions will gravitate towards the Lord and what He loves.
Â
“I write these things to you, dear children, because you truly have a relationship with the Father. I write these things, fathers and mothers, because you have had a true relationship with him who is from the beginning. And I write these things, young people, because you are strong, the Word of God is treasured in your hearts, and you have defeated the Evil One. Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance—none of these things come from the Father but from the world. This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. “ 1 John 2:14-17

I take pleasure in the Lord. My heart craves after the Lord. The Lord is my enjoyment, and my admiration.Â
My desires are set on the Lord.
I refuse to crave for the praise of men. My emotions gravitate towards the Lord and what He loves.

Wow!!
The Lord is my craving and pleasure. The Lord is my satisfaction. I highly esteem Him above everything.
Thank you JESUS!!
I consciously delight in Him all the time

I treasure the word of God.
I love to do the will of God.
I don’t set mind on things of this world.
Thank you Lord Jesus.
I delight in the Lord and I’m pleased in Him. Thank You Lord Jesus for your unconditional love ?
I increase in desire for the lord

My emotions gravitates towards the things of God. Gloreey . Thank You Jesus.
There is the product or results of loving the Lord. Keeping ( obeying) his commandments is the results or product of loving Him. You can’t keep his commandments if you don’t have his love in you. The father loved the son by delighting and been pleased in him. Likewise, we can only love Jesus by delighting in him. To delight in the Lord is to make the Lord your desire. When you delight and enjoys the Lord, keeping his commandments will not become a list of rules you must anxiously obey but life. For he ” the spirit gives life and the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you, they are spirit and they are life. The words are life and gives life because they are first of all spirit and it is the spirit that gives life. Oh hallelujah!
