DO YOU UNDERSTAND IT? 1

” And Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?” Acts 8:30 (KJV)

There are a lot of people who think they have the Bible, and read the Bible therefore they will grow by themselves.
Let me say this emphatically, no one can grow properly in the kingdom without being in a Christ-centered Church. And being trained by a good teacher of the Word.
You cannot sit on your own to grow in the understanding of the scriptures.

One of the most dangerous threat to the maturity of the body of Christ is FALSE TEACHING!
False teaching doesn’t always begin with a false spirit. One may have a genuine heart to grow in knowledge, but wrong understanding of the scriptures will cultivate false interpretation of the scriptures.
Teachers of the Word are crucial determinant of the mind and attitude set of the saints in Christ.
If you are in Christ, you must submit yourself to consistent Christ centered teachers of the Word, who will bring you into the accurate precise knowledge of the Word of His grace.
You don’t isolate yourself from the brethren and decide to study God’s word for yourself. In as much as it is good to have a personal study of the Word, you must first submit your thoughts to the established module for Biblical knowledge.
You can’t have your personal understanding or personal interpretation of the scriptures.
Look at this, 2 Peter 1:20
” Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,” (NLT)

” But understand this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of or comes from one’s own [personal or special] interpretation” (Amplified).

” The main thing to keep in mind here is that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion,” (MESSAGE)

There is no different meaning to what has been written which is unique to you.
People having their private interpretation of the scriptures is the beginning of falsehood.
Every truth you are exposed to must be in agreement with the original meaning of the text.
There are no contemporary interpretation of the Biblical text.
The meaning of the scriptures, the gospels and the epistles have not changed, updated or compromised. The scriptures mean the same thing today as they meant when the authors were inspired by God.
You have to understand the fundamental matters in the scriptures and the wisdom to rightly divide the word of God.
Without Philip the Ethiopian Eunuch was reading the book of Isaiah, yet he needed Philip to explain the meaning of the prophetic text.
Any one who thinks he doesn’t need a teacher to understand the Bible has not understood the Bible or has not read the Bible at all.
When you read the Bible or the Holy Scriptures, you will know the importance of a teacher of the Word in your life.
” And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15 (KJV)

This is the Lord’s arrangement.
Look at what Jesus said;
” Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28: 18-20 (Berean Standard Bible)

Imagine the nations also say, we have the scriptures and we don’t need teachers.

DIG DEEPER:
(Acts 8:26-30; Acts 20:28; Ephesians 4:11; Jeremiah 23:4; 2 Timothy 2:2; Acts 18:18-28)
WE PRAY:
Dear Lord, teach me to humbly submit to my pastor/teacher, who will bring me into the accurate precise knowledge of the Word of grace.
BIBLE READING
Day 118: 2 Kings 11-13

DECLARE THESE WORDS:
– I submit myself to the solid teachings of my Pastor.
– I don’t heap myself with many teachers.
– I am not one who has an itching ear.
– I submit my thoughts to the established module for Biblical knowledge in my local church.
– I have no personal interpretation of the word.
Oh Hallelujah, GLOREEEEY!

Wow
Glory to the highest God.
It is so much of a blessing to be implanted in a church like Christ Commonwealth Community where I have teachers to help me come to the full understanding of the scriptures.
The Lord is indeed taking the ministry to conquer nations and bring every elite seated in high places to the knowledge of the truth.
It is so amazing and profound that first of all, it was Christ who entrusted the shepherd to us and also to keep us safe, away from fear.
I diligently keep watch over the flock Christ has entrusted to my hands by paying with His own precious blood.

2 Kings 13 verse 18 Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the king took them. Elisha told him, “Strike the ground.” He struck it three times and stopped. 19 The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.- This particular verse ministered so much to me. I learned that if I want to do anything great for God I should be ready to go all out for Him and hope to see mighty results by Faith. Gloreeeeeey!
I take my partnership to the next level
I take my soul winning to the next level.
I take my diligence and submission of instructions to the next level
2 Kings 13 verse 21 Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.- Indeed that same power is alive in us
That is the Spirit of Christ or the Holy Spirit that giveth life to our mortal body.
