GOD’S LOVE LANGUAGE 3

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” 1 John 5:3 (NKJV).

There is more to glean from this verse.

Beloved, don’t quickly jump into an idea that, keeping some regulations and laws is equated to the Love of God.

Yes, the prove or evidence of Love is doing what Jesus says.

Nevertheless, you are not the manufacturer of this Love. You don’t have the responsibility to design this Love. Which means, the Lord Jesus is not demanding love from you. He only wants you to express His Love which He has dispensed into you through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).

This is why it is not burdensome, because He is the supply of the love at work in you.

And Jesus is not saying, if you don’t keep my commandments I will not love you.

John 14:15
“If ye love me, keep my commandments…”

Here, Jesus is not issuing out a threat to you.

It is a call to demonstrate the deep intimacy of love He has with you.

Keeping His word is a fruit of His love.

Please don’t get our discussion twisted, keeping the commandments of Jesus is not your negotation for His love.

Neither is it His negotiation to love you.

Jesus’ love for you is boundless.
He wants you to remain in His love.

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.”* (John 15:9)

DIG DEEPER:
(Read and meditate on these: John 17:23, 24,26; Ephesians 3:18; 1 John 4:10,19)

WE PRAY

That we grow to understand the Love of God which is at work in us more and more. And that we will be an expression of His true love in all situations.

BIBLE READING IN THE YEAR 2023

Day 4: Job 6-9

DECLARE THESE WORDS:

I increase in the understanding of the love of God. I am loved by God. I walk in His love without any burden. No situation can frustrate my love for the Lord and for others. I walk in love, because I have the capacity of God’s love at work in me. I love as God loves me.

Hallelujah!!!

We'd love to connect with you!

To help you build a proper foundation of spiritual understanding.
