EPISODE 1049 – TIME STEWARDSHIP

CHRIST COMMONWEALTH-COMMUNITY

The Love-Life Agency

The born-again must submit his mind and thoughts to be renewed by the Spirit of the Lord and the revelation of the Scriptures. When your mind is renewed by the word of God, your imagination will not become a hindrance to what God is saying to you. A mind shaped by the Word of God becomes a pathway for the voice of the Lord. TIME STEWARDSHIP

“So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”

Romans 14:16 (NKJV)

Time is a spot in eternity, however, whatever is done in time has a lot of impact in eternity.

It is one of the resources of God given to each person.

Nobody has more done 24 hours or less than 24 hours.
Every single individual has the same quantity of time each day. The quality of time each person will have is dependent on their diligence as faithful stewards.

Whatever you will accomplish on Earth is also determined by how you effectively use time.

In as much as it may seem there is not enough time, time is really enough for each day. It is God who determined the day and the night. He knew we can make the most of the time we have if only we are not going to be wasteful.

When it comes to the pursuit of purpose, we must always have a sense of urgency and a consciousness to utilize time wisely. Time is not to be wasted; it has to be managed properly.

So the Psalmist said:

“Teach us to use wisely all the time we have” Psalm 90:12 (Contemporary English Version)

As stewards of God’s resources, we must also know that all the time we have is also given to us by God.

Time is part of God’s possession and He has graciously given it to us to manage as stewards. Your faithful management of time will also determine whether you are a faithful steward or not.

When people talk about time management they don’t think of it in the light of stewardship. They think of using time to accomplish personal goals.

Time management is not proper management until it is seen in the light of stewardship.

To manage time is not just how you use time to satisfy your personal goals which doesn’t bring glory to God.
To manage time is to first know that you don’t own time and you are only a steward of the original owner – God.

He has given you the gift of time to carry out His task assigned to you.

When all you use your time for is what pleases you, you are not managing time faithfully.

Your walk must be pleasing to the Lord, including how you use time.

“So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” Colossians 1:10 (ESV)

To manage time is still time wastage when it is not seen as time stewardship.

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is Ephesians 5:15-17 (ESV)

The understanding of the will of God will cause you to wisely make the best use of your time.

Selah.
