To live as “Mary in Martha’s world”, is to live and enjoy the Lord as Mary did. Take advantage of your access to the Lord.
Whatever you can do for the Lord is in what He has given to you and His grace which He unceasingly supplies you.
The best thing that can ever happen to you is to make the most of the privilege to be at the Lord’s feet.
This is the burden of this series.
Are there believers who don’t see the value of being at the Lord’s feet?
These are those who live in the exasperation of this world trying to catch up with the speed of postmodernism.
People only think of making time for the Lord in personal prayers and also attend Church service to see a Pastor when they need a breakthrough or a miracle.
These ones are easily led into falsehood and deception because they have not learnt to spend time to deepen their fellowship with Jesus.
Mary genuinely understood the need to be with Him.
Nothing is more important than being at the feet of Jesus, and let nothing take that privilege from you.
Jesus saw Mary at His feet as the most important thing.
In Martha’s world, it’s all about the work you do and how you are putting in all your self-effort to succeed. In Martha’s world activity comes first before intimacy.
Mary was living with Martha, but first esteemed the Lord’s presence above Martha’s demands.
Martha will later learn the effect of not taking advantage of the Lord’s presence.
You find true peace, total well-being, rest and refreshment when you stay intimate with the Lord.
It’s one thing to be loved by the Lord, it’s another thing to intentionally enjoy the Love of Jesus and to express it.
To effectively live as Mary in a Martha’s world, you must prioritize the one thing that matters most, INTIMACY WITH THE LORD.
Why wake up in a morning to rush out to work without giving focus to this one thing which builds you up?
Until you become intentional about your intimacy with the Lord you cannot become consistent.
Make your quiet time an important moment of your day. Set times in each day for quiet reflection or meditation on a scripture and prayer.
Learn to say “no” to non-essential commitments.
- Planning your schedules can prevent busyness from taking over your life.
These will help you remain established amid the chaos.
Here is the secret:
“What delight comes to those who follow God’s ways! They won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat.
Their pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in his true revelation of light. They will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of their lives. Your faith level for manifestation is dependent on your intimacy with the Lord.
