    ESTEEM THE REVELATION-LIGHT

    “Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Job 23:12 (KJV)

    Imagine living for an hour without breathing?

    The scriptures (as the Word of God) are the outbreathings of God for our inward breathings. They are not the suggestions of God but the  precepts of His wisdom. The Word embodies God’s thoughts. All things were made by the Word of God.

     There is nothing God will do with you or for you outside His Word. The Word is the foundation of your faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17). You cannot demonstrate God’s wisdom, grow in knowledge, receive understanding and walk in obedience without the Word of God. 

    Food is good for the body, but the Word of God is good for your entire being.

    The real you, which is your spirit can only be built and furnished by the Word of God. 

    You must esteem God’s Word in your life than your necessary food. 

    As you fellowship with the scriptures (the Bible), you are fellowshipping with the Word of God. Don’t make the reading of your Bible a leisure activity.

    Reading, studying, meditating on the Word of God and your prayer times must be the essential part of your day. They shouldn’t be sidelined.

    “When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies” Jeremiah 15:16 (NLT).

    This is the attitude you must have towards the Word of God. Devour, or eat or consume the Word.

    How do you step into the day without feasting on the scriptures?

    They are God’s speaking to us. Through the scriptures your life is governed or directed to the right direction. Be ebullient with the scriptures burning on your heart.

    “O how I love and treasure the revelation of your word; throughout the day I fill my heart with its light!” Psalm 119:97 (TPT)

    The more you read, study and meditate on the Word of God, your heart is flooded with light.

    Until you love and treasure the revelation of the Lord, you will not make it your meditation throughout the day. This is why by the inspiration of the Lord, I included A ONE YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN. You are provided with two or three chapters of the Bible to read. And also extra Dig Deeper scriptures. 

    As you read these scriptures you will access the understanding of God. When you love the Lord you will take interest in understanding and knowing Him.

    “I need more revelation from your word to know more about you, for I’m in love with you!” Psalm 119:125 (TPT).

    The question is are you really involved in the reading of the Bible, since you claim you love the Lord ?

    You have to ESTEEM THE WORD in your life. You have to set a time for the reading of the Word of God. It will shape your thinking and refresh your heart. 

    You will realize that you can make the right life choices, and also live with clarity because you have activated Wisdom.

    “Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your word makes my pathway clear.” Psalm 119:105 (TPT)

    Don’t esteem your pursuit for money, academic success etc above the Word of God.

    “The words you speak to me are worth more than all the riches and wealth in the whole world!” Psalm 119:72 (TPT).

    – I live by the word.

    THE REVELATION-LIGHT

    “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)

    To treat the Word of God as an option or allow unproductive activities to compete with the Word of God in your life is an evidence of ignorance and a distracted life.

    One of things the adversary has to do to leave you in darkness and spiritual penury is to make you disparage the scriptures in your day to day living. 

    The whole world lies in darkness and under the sway of the adversary. (See 1 John 5:19).

    And the Lord has translated us from the power of darkness to the Kingdom of His son. (See Col. 1:13).

    We see in Isaiah 60:2:

    “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” (KJV)

    Though we are not of this world, (we are not governed by its value system and forces), we are in the world (physically present). (See John 17:15-16). 

    We can only navigate our paths by the light of the Word of God within us. The scriptures are not some list of rules and regulations which bid for our obedience. They are the emission of divine light into our hearts.

    “The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple” Psalm 119:130 (ESV).

    When you have fellowship with the Word, it infuses your heart with light. When the Word of God illuminates you, it shapes your thinking.

    Even gullible or untrained men receive understanding and insight by the entrance of the Word.

    It directs you on the way to go, the decision to take, and the wisdom to demonstrate in all wisdom. Most young people seem to struggle with mental health, depression, suicidal thoughts, and fear.

    This is because they have either not received the light of the Word or have turned away from it.

    “When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness” Job 29:3

    The infusion of the light of God’s Word, cultures your mind and brings you into higher realm of civilization and hope. 

    No matter the godawful state of the darkness in this world, we shine forth by the Word.

    Beloved, allow the ENTRANCE OF THE WORD OF GOD on a daily basis.

    As you read your Bible, as you consistently listen to Christ-Centred teachings and songs, your heart shall be flooded with the revelation-light.

    – That the light of the Word will shine through our hearts and enlighten our eyes that we shall walk in perfect understanding.

    LIVE BY REVELATION

    “Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy: “It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God’s mouth.” Matthew 4:4 (MSG) 
     
    The challenges or situations which confront you are not the determinants of your failure.
     
    It is your level of revelation that determines the outcome of your life.
     
    You cannot live a glorious life above your revelation.
     
    The greatest source of accurate and true revelation of life is THE WORD OF GOD.
     
    The reality is, God made the universe and invested principles to govern the universe. You can best understand God’s design for your life through the Word of God.
     
    It is through God’s word that you can access true revelation. And the revelation you receive ushers you into a dimension of understanding.
     
    “Here are kingdom revelations, words to live by, and words of wisdom given to empower you to reign in life, written as proverbs by Israel’s King Solomon, David’s son. Within these sayings will be found the revelation of wisdom and the impartation of spiritual understanding. Use them as keys to unlock the treasures of true knowledge. Those who cling to these words will receive discipline to demonstrate wisdom in every relationship and to choose what is right and just and fair.” Proverbs 1:1-3 (TPT)
     
    The word of God will impart you with divine revelation and understanding for your victorious living.
     
    This is why you must esteem the Word. Until you esteem the Word of God you will not be able to glean the revelation of your living.
     
    This can affect how you pray. There are people who spend time praying a lot and don’t see results of their prayers. And then they begin to wonder why they don’t see answers. 
     
    The question you need to answer is the basis of your prayer. 
     
    Do you pray by frustration or you pray by revelation?
     
    How do you relate with things and handle situations?
     
    You can only reign in life or exercise dominion by your revelation.
     
    It doesn’t matter the complexity of life and situations, when you catch the right revelation of the word, you will dissolve hard situations and challenges.
     
    Every problem you face, is a revelation or wisdom problem.
     
    “These kingdom revelations will break open your understanding to unveil the deeper meaning of parables, poetic riddles, and epigrams, and to unravel the words and enigmas of the wise.” Proverbs 1:6 (TPT).
     
    Glory to God.
     
    Beloved, live and depend on the Word of God for by it you are illuminated with the right revelation of life.

    That through the revelation of the word we will demonstrate the wisdom of God in all facets of our lives.

    – I am in this world but I am not of this world.

    – I live above sickness disease, fear, anxiety, depression, pain, sorrow and any weakness of this world.

    – I guard my heart with the word of God.

    – I don’t permit negative thoughts.

    – I allow the word of God to cultivate my heart.

    – As I fellowship with the word of God daily, it  sharpens my mind, will and emotions to live in conformity to God’s will.

    THE BASTION OF TRUTH 2 

     “ but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth”. 1 Timothy 3:15 (NKJV)

    From “Machaira with Apostle Bennie” Episode 201, we realized the best place to run to, amidst the uncertainties of this world, is the Church. For the Church is the organic expression of the unshakable Kingdom of God. 

    The people of the world who see the Church as a threat would definitely have a different opinion about this. Nevertheless, the essence and the impact of the Church in the world cannot be denied. From the revelation of the scriptures, there is the affirmation of this truth of the Church and its purpose in this world. The Church is the herald of the glorious news of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus. Apart from the Church, there is no other community of people anywhere in this world which presents and represents God’s Kingdom.

    You might have experienced some people within the Church who act contrary to the reality of the Kingdom of our Lord. But that doesn’t deny what the Church is – THE PILLAR OF TRUTH! Selfish men will always look for ways to creep into places and then attempt to make waste of gullible people. However, the light of the truth cannot be comprehended by any dimension of darkness. Don’t allow your experiences of some people within the Church to corrupt your love for the Lord, and then move you away from the community of the Church. Don’t allow your heart to be steered away from the glorious essence of the Church.

    The people within the True Church of our Lord Jesus, are being nurtured and built-up unto the measure and the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). Because of the truth of our Lord Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit within the Church (the Body of Christ), it is without doubt that in the consummation of all things, the Church will be a spotless community.

    “ Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:25-27 (ESV)

     There is no single institution in this world, which is built on the foundation of the cravings of men that will not sink. Christ is the foundation of the Church, and He is the Truth. This means the Church is built on Truth and remains solidly strong beyond the end of time.

    “For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11 (Legacy Standard Bible)

    Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone of the Church (Ephesians 2:20).

    Knowing that Jesus Christ is the foundation and the chief cornerstone of the Church, we must have this unwavering assurance that to be built in the Church, is to be built in the bastion of truth.

    Talking about the Church, I am not speaking of your denomination. I am speaking of the community of Christ, the corporate body of all the saints who stand and walk in the sound doctrine and unadulterated gospel of our Lord Jesus. I am not talking about denominations where the gospel of our Lord Jesus is peddled and don’t esteem sound doctrine.

    Go for what the Word of God says, enjoy the revelation of Jesus. Don’t give your mind to empty traditions and human philosophies which end up in endless arguments. 

    “ My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving. Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never amount to anything. They spread their ideas through the empty traditions of human beings and the empty superstitions of spirit beings. But that’s not the way of Christ. Everything of God gets expressed in him, so you can see and hear him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything.” Colossians 2:6-9 (Message Bible)

    The fullness of Christ is revealed through His Body which is the Church. The Church remains the only Bastion of Truth in this world; therefore, let nothing move you away from the Church! Be unwavering involved or part of what God is doing in His Church.

    THE BASTION OF TRUTH 1

    You are likely to get more confused in this present pluralistic world. This is a world where everyone seems to have an opportunity to create their own contents. Even people who are living astray or struggling to get their lives together are pretending to be online coaches. 

    In a world where we have people embittered by the wounds of broken homes, deceived by atheism, disdained by the society, blinded by the fables of traditions and religion; you will definitely be confronted by contradictory opinions. You may meet people with weird thoughts about how one has to live and relate with God.

    The world clearly without God is confused!!!

    God is not the author of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33) Confusion is not normal. Truth is not subjective. Truth is not determined by how one feels or think. People make their opinions and define their living by how they feel or think within a particular period. Feelings change and experiences differ.

    Truth is absolute!

    Truth is changeless!

    The systems and structures of this world are not built on Truth. They are mainly built on individual interests or greed. You can only find truth in God’s Kingdom. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” (John 14:6). All the systems or structures of this world shall crumble (Psalm 46:6). They don’t carry eternal value. Therefore, don’t be conformed to this world though you are in the world (Romans 12:2; John 17:16). 

    The most secured place is the Kingdom of God. And through Christ we are translated into this unshakable kingdom (Colossians 1:13; Hebrews 11:28). Jesus established His Church to be the organic expression of God’s Kingdom. The best place to consistently access Truth is Christ’s Church. Let not the world distract you.

    The Church is the only Pillar and ground of the Truth. It is the haven and bastion of divine reality. Through the Church, you are nurtured, equipped and deeply rooted in truth.” Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth.” Ephesians 4:14 (TLB).
