For some to also doubt Christ, they attempt to discredit the authenticity of the Bible. They condemn the Bible, saying it is not the Word of God.

Meanwhile, these people secretly go into the Bible to glean life lessons, concepts to shape their religious minds, etc. But publicly condemn the Bible with the goal of discrediting Christ.

You cannot genuinely study the Bible without meeting Christ.

He is the centricity of the Bible.

The writings of the Prophets, Psalmist and Kings from Genesis to Malachi (known as the Old Testament portion of the Bible) testify of Christ.
The New Testament portion declares the fulfillment of the revelation of Christ.

“You search and keep on searching and examining the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and yet it is those [very Scriptures] that testify about Me“ John 5:39 (Amplified Bible)

Some even have to extend their indoctrination or negative propaganda by creating false Bible translations to distort original texts. They use their wrong translations to deceive innocent people.

Be a student of the Word of God. Don’t be like the Israelites, who were easily deceived by the mixed multitudes (the ungodly people from other nations who joined them as they left Egypt).

By the deceptive thoughts of these mixed multitudes, the Israelites saw the power of God, but because they had not studied the ways of the Lord, they still walked in doubt.

Get yourself established in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus, and do not be swayed by the lies of this generation.

    Hallelujah.

Though the mountains in these verses give an idea of the landscape of Jerusalem, they also provide imagery of the coming of the messenger.

Jerusalem is situated on a mountain.

“… Solomon began to build the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David…” 2 (Chronicles 3:1)

And Jerusalem is also surrounded by mountains.

“Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.” (Psalm 125:1-2)

Thus, as the messengers come to Jerusalem with their good news, they will be seen coming down the mountains. Nevertheless, mountains also have deeper meanings in the scriptures. Mountains depict exaltation, greatness and higher experience.

Get this, though mountains surround Jerusalem, there are plains in between Jerusalem and the mountains, since Jerusalem is also on a mountain.

So why didn’t the prophet speak of the messengers running in the valley?

The Prophet used the mountains not to show the landscape around Jerusalem, but used the landscape around Jerusalem to show the HIGH CALLING of the messenger with beautiful feet.

Your calling and commission to publish or herald the good news of Jesus is as one with beautiful feet upon the mountains; because it is a high calling.

DON’T MOVE AWAY FROM THE GOSPEL

“But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ”

    2 Corinthians 11: 3 (NKJV)

What do you think was Paul’s greatest concern for the Churches he planted and the people he raised?

It is that they will not be moved away from the gospel of Jesus.

And that is the same concern of all the Apostles of Jesus.

Today’s Church has a different understanding of who a False Teacher, False Prophet and False Apostle is in their midst.

Most Teachers, Prophets and Apostles who will be called false are now celebrated by “Christians” as True teachers.

The Church doesn’t know the difference between another gospel and the true gospel of Jesus.

Paul instructed the leaders in Ephesus to be watchful of false teachers and prophets.

He called these false teachers ferocious wolves. And he said they will speak perverse and distorted things (Acts 20:29-30).

These things they speak are contrary to the gospel of Jesus. Remember, there are no two gospels. The gospel of Jesus is the gospel of Grace.

    See Paul’s commendation:

“And now I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified [that is, among those who are set apart for God’s purpose–all believers].” Acts 20:32 (Amplified).

Falsehood has always been in contrast to the revelation or the gospel (the goodnews) of Jesus.

Look at the opening verse in context:

“I am anxious for you with the deep concern of God himself—anxious that your love should be for Christ alone, just as a pure maiden saves her love for one man only, for the one who will be her husband.  But I am frightened, fearing that in some way you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to our Lord, just as Eve was deceived by Satan in the Garden of Eden. You seem so gullible: you believe whatever anyone tells you even if he is preaching about another Jesus than the one we preach, or a different spirit than the Holy Spirit you received, or shows you a different way to be saved. You swallow it all.”  2 Corinthians 11:2-4 (TLB)

The simplicity of Jesus is the gospel of Jesus. Your commitment to the gospel is your pure and simple devotion to Jesus.

Stand strong in the glorious revelation of Jesus.

Also, note that not all false gospel is preached by fake Pastors or Teachers or Apostles. Some people are genuinely called of God and sent by Christ, yet may find themselves teaching another gospel.

It doesn’t mean the people are false, but their message or aspects of their teachings may be false.

    For example:

One will teach that, “You are saved only by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by works”.

    That is the true gospel.

However, after this person gets people saved, he begins to teach the saints another gospel, saying, “Though you are now saved, you can lose your salvation. Your salvation is not forever; it depends on your good works”.

Beloved, this is a clear example of false teaching.

To say one will lose his salvation is to say that the blood of Jesus is not enough to satisfy the demand of Justice. (I gave over 50 reasons you cannot lose your Salvation, click here to watch).

To understand Justification, read the following:

     Justification 1 – 3

    – Justified by Faith

    Christ’s won freedom wasn’t partial

    The Case is closed

    What shall separate you?

Your salvation only depends on the good works of Jesus. It is not dependent on your works. (Ephesians 2:9).

Now, because you have been made righteous by Jesus, you live right unto God’s glory.

    This is the gospel.

We pray that we will not be given to another gospel but will consciously remain strong in the simplicity of the gospel and not swallow any other teaching at all.

    DON’T WATER DOWN THE GOSPEL

“For unlike so many, we are not peddlers of God’s Word who water down the message. We are those sent from God with pure motives, who speak in the sight of God from our union with Christ.”

    2 Corinthians 2:17 (TPT)

The gospel is the goodnews of Jesus. In the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus, there are no two gospels; the gospel is one.

There is no goodnews in the universe which is as good as the glorious news of Jesus.

The gospel of our Lord Jesus is the consistent revelation of God in Christ Jesus.

It is the declaration of the supply of God’s love and demonstration of His graciousness.

The gospel unveils how God has justified all who received Jesus and has made them righteous in Christ. It is the communication of God’s eternal forgiveness.

The gospel says, you are not saved by your works or self-efforts. But you are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

“For it was only through this wonderful grace that we believed in him. Nothing we did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ! So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (TPT)

To preach that we are saved by grace, however, we need our works to preserve our salvation, is to water down the good news of Jesus.

The moment the security of our salvation is preached on the grounds of our self-efforts, we should know that the Gospel is peddled.

Peddlers of the gospel portray God’s love demonstrated on the condition of our good self-efforts.

But that is not what the love of God is; the love of God is unconditional.

Jesus did not die for you because you were righteous. He died for all men when we were yet sinners.

The only price which was paid for the salvation of men was the blood of Jesus. Though salvation is not cheap, God has freely made it available for us through Christ Jesus.

To preach the gospel for self-gain or selfish interest is to peddle or water down the gospel of Jesus.

That which the Lord has done is complete!

It does not need additives or your sentiments to make it whole.

Jesus did a finished work through His death and resurrection.

When your goal of preaching the gospel is also to enrich your selfish ambition, you may have to preach a mixed gospel which also another gospel.

When you preach the gospel of Jesus, people will focus on the Lord and not on the preacher.

Don’t water down what the Lord has accomplished because of how you feel.

    Selah.

    LIVE BY THE DOMINION OF
    RIGHTEOUSNESS IN YOU

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?”

    Romans 6:1 (NKJV)

The question in the opening verse is one of the most asked questions concerning the gospel of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Most people ask this question because they doubt the power of the gospel.

Some also ask such questions because they think people will take advantage of the goodness of the gospel to sin.

This is it, anyone who decides to use the liberty of the gospel as an occasion to sin did not truly hear the gospel, nor did such a person receive the love of Christ.

The gospel of our Lord Jesus is the revelation of the love of God.

    Sin is influenced by selfishness.

Sin is anything that is not of faith.

“But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.” Romans 14:23 (NKJV)

    And faith works in love.

“For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.” Galatians 5:6 (NLT).

Nowhere did the gospel suggest that we should continue to sin because of the grace of God.

And most people who ask the question, “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?” seek a reason to accuse the gospel.

However, Paul asked the question rhetorically to bring to his readers the hardcore truth of the gospel.

After explaining the participation of those who are saved in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, he established the reality that as you are saved, you should reckon yourself dead to sin.

You don’t reckon yourself dead to sin because you first lived right. You don’t reckon yourself dead to sin according to your good works.

You reckon yourself dead to sin on the grounds of how Christ died to sin and defeated sin once and for all.

Jesus did not only die FOR you. He also died WITH you.
This is the testimony for all men, that Christ died for them. Therefore, salvation is available for all men.

However, when one comes to believe in Jesus and receives salvation, he or she is identified with Christ.
The testimony of the saved is that his or her old man and nature died with Christ. And now in Christ, he or she is a new creation.

    Now see these two verses:
    2 Corinthians 5:17 and Galatians 2:20.
    2 Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified).

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”
    See Galatians 2:20 (TPT):

“My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me— we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine

So when you got saved, you were united with Christ. And the old man was crucified with Christ on the cross. The old, wretched nature of sin died with Christ.
    Let’s also take a look at Romans 6:5-13;

“For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin”(vv 5-6)

You can see here again that as you were united together in the death of Jesus, your old man, who was the embodiment of sin, was crucified with Christ.

Now, if you are in Christ, you don’t have the nature of sin in your spirit.

You are a new creation, and you share in the likeness of the resurrection of Jesus. You have the new life of Christ. This life is not a slave controlled by sin.

“For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (vv 7-11)

Now, from the revelation of scriptures, you understand that Jesus died to sin once and for all and lives unto God forever.

Therefore, because you are identified with Christ in His death, you are also alive to God in Christ once and for all.

When you were made alive in God in Christ, it was not with the nature of sin. The nature of sin was terminated in the death of Jesus. Therefore, you are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus, with the nature of righteousness.

You did not become alive to yourself and the legalism of Moses.
You were made alive to God in Christ with the nature of righteousness.

It means now you must live according to the dominion of righteousness in you.

You are no longer under the influence of sin, because the power of His resurrection has produced the righteousness of God in Christ in you.

Live every day of your life with the consciousness that you are a new man.

GOD IS FAITHFUL TO KEEP YOU

He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.”

    1 Corinthians 1:8 (NLT)

God did not save you to leave you halfway. The salvation of our Lord Jesus is not partial.

He did a complete work. Jesus satisfied all the demands of justice in His death, and He brought forth the Newness of life.

The salvation which you received in Christ is always dependent on God’s faithfulness.

The faithfulness of God is God upholding the integrity of His words. It is the demonstration of His trustworthiness.

Your salvation is eternal and shall not be lost or erased at the coming of the Lord, because God is faithful.

He is a good keeper! What is with Him or in His hands shall not be lost.

    The Lord Jesus said:

“My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me. I give to them the gift of eternal life and they will never be lost, and no one has the power to snatch them out of my hands. My Father, who has given them to me as his gift, is the mightiest of all, and no one has the power to snatch them from my Father’s care. The Father and I are one.” John 10:27-30 (TPT)

When God says He will keep you to the end, it is His personal commitment. Nothing can take you out of His hands.

Paul the apostle reiterated the words of Jesus:

He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will do this, for He is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT).

    Glory to God!

God’s word does not return to Him void. Whatever He says is true and shall come to pass.

The moment He said, “…whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”, His faithfulness was activated in that word. The moment you believed in the Lord Jesus, God has no choice but to be faithful to His word. He will keep you to the end.

    This was Paul’s confidence:

“being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6).

The first-century believers also had this same confidence:

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished in His glorious presence, with great joy” (Jude 1:24)

You must have this same confidence in God. He is faithful to keep you to the end.

You are not to be afraid of the future; the Lord is faithful.

He is faithful, therefore, “before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 (TPT)
