    DON’T GIVE ROOM FOR DISTRACTIONS

”And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

    Philippians 4:8 (NLT)

In this present age, mental health has become one of the common troubling conditions.

And this is not only with the aged. Most young people are struggling with mental health issues.

Most people seem to go through a lot of mental torture and struggle.

This includes people who are born again in Christ. People who should put on the shield of faith, have been dominated or swamped by fear and troubles.

These things are caused by little distractions and then they grow into unbearable conditions. Some steer off from their faith in Christ and the good works the Lord has ordained for them to walk in; by some seeds of uncertainty and distractions.

In this present age of avalanche information and pluralistic worldviews. People are easily distracted and lack the stamina to maintain a strong composure.
Most people don’t know which is the right way to think.
They have become students of social media and not ardent disciples of Christ. Instead of being raised in the school of the Word and the Spirit, people are schooled by comedians and content creators who are interested in creating traffic on their platforms.
You cannot function in faith beyond what you think, see with your mind, hear and speak.
The adversary is after your faith.

One of the things to do to maintain great faith is to imbue focus.

The greatest strategy of the adversary is to distract your faith.

The adversary distracts the focus of your faith with thoughts which are contrary to the word of God. This is why it is essential to fix your mind on the word of God and not what happens around you or how you feel.

For the adversary to attack the faith of Job, he went after the things which he loved or are connected to him (his family, his livestock etc)

For the adversary to attack you, he can even use the negative comments from family relatives, lecturers or teachers. Past negative and hurtful experiences, including social media trends, can sweep you off your joy.
Until you intentionally imbue focus you will be a slave to the peripherals.
You have a mandate to fulfill. Don’t give room for any distractions, IMBUE FOCUS!

Set your mind or heart, your thoughts and imaginations on:

    – what is true and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.

    – Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Where else can you access these beautiful things except the GOSPEL OF JESUS.

Apart from the WORD OF GOD, you cannot access TRUTH.
Don’t start looking for bad reports and negative experiences in your life.
Don’t allow the experiences of some public figures define your life. None of their experiences qualifies to be an example for you.
    You are of God.

If it is not praise worthy don’t give your mind to it.
There are more glorious things Christ has done for you, make them your meditation.

    Remember:
that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Philemon 1:6 (NKJV)

    WE PRAY
In the name of Jesus, that nothing shall be strong enough to distract us. That by the supply of grace, we imbue divine focus in the midst of all distractions in this present age.

    SIGNS OF SPIRITUAL IMMATURITY 1

    (ARE YOU GROWING? 8)

Just as we have FRUIT of a matured life in Christ, there are SIGNS of spiritual immaturity.

Being born again for many years doesn’t make you spiritually matured. You can be attending Church meetings and be serving in a ministry or stewardship department for many years and still not be growing spiritually.
To grow spiritually is a personal decision.
There are certain spiritual habits and mindsets you may cultivate just by being present in an environment of the Word of grace. Because environments or some atmospheres are contagious.

To grow effectively, you don’t have to only depend on the influence of the environment of your local Church. You have to be intentional about your growth in the spirit.

In previous episodes we realised that, your demonstration of the LOVE of GOD is the greatest evidence of your growth in the spirit.
The Love of God does not satisfy the desires of the flesh.
The true motive or intention of the love of God at work in you, is to bless or nourish others without personal interest. This brings all glory to God and not you.
The greatest sign of an immatured life is the INFLUENCE OF THE FLESH.
    From the opening verse:

Brothers and sisters, when I was with you I found it impossible to speak to you as those who are spiritually mature people, for you are still dominated by the mind-set of the flesh. And because you are immature infants in Christ,” 1 Corinthians 3:1 (TPT)

Paul, was speaking to fellow saints (believers in Christ) and not unbelievers. And some of these (if not all) were as babes or infants in Christ.

The evidence of their spiritual immaturity was how they were DOMINATED BY THE MIND-SET OF THE FLESH.
The more you grow in the spirit, the less you are influenced or dominated by the flesh.
    Are you growing?

To which extent are you dominated by the flesh?

    WE PRAY
That our love will grow and increase beyond measure, bringing us into the rich revelation of spiritual insight in all things.

EPISODE 209 – EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH CAN BE GOLD

    The Love-Life Agency

    CHRIST COMMONWEALTH-COMMUNITY

    Sunday 20th August, 2023

    EVERYTHING
    YOU TOUCH CAN BE GOLD

“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands” Deuteronomy 28:12 (NIV)

It’s easy to feel less blessed when you’re overwhelmed with challenges. Sometimes when it looks like nothing seem to work, you will begin to feel like God’s promises aren’t for you.

You look at others and really feel they are blessed and everything is working successfully in their lives.

You may also wonder if it is possible for a person to have:

    – Beautiful marriage and blessed children.
    – Prosperous careers or profession and business.
    – Outstanding Ministry.
    – A dignified and peaceful life

Beloved, this is God’s design for your life.

You can enjoy a life more beautiful and glorious than it was in “Eden”.

Let this sink deep in your heart, the outcome of your life is what you believe with your heart.

Do you believe that you can have a life full of glory and beauty?

Hear this, all things are possible to them that believe (Mark 9: 23).

“All things” here means all things. Whether you read it in Hebrew, Greek, Latin, French, English, etc.

    ALL THINGS MEANS ALL THINGS!

Whatever you believe will gravitate towards you.

Do not accept the idea that your life is full of struggle.

Hold on to the word of God.

As you act in complete obedience of faith to the word of God, you will see the manifested glory of the word.

The blessing of the word of God is not for some limited people.

It is for those who believe!

Maintain this strong mentality of faith, that you are a blessed man.

Let it be your consciousness that your hands are so blessed that everything you touch will turn to gold.

Wherever you go and whatever you do is prosperous because God is with you.

No matter the challenge you will emerge strong, with mighty testimonies

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.” Isaiah 43:2 (AMP)

No challenge is bigger than you. Whatever comes in contact with you will become a the center of attraction.

Always see yourself as the one with the blessed hands. The more you think this way, the more all things align for your good.
