    DON’T SETTLE FOR LESS

“There is nothing in us that allows us to claim that we are capable of doing this work. The capacity we have comes from God”.

    2 Corinthians 3:5 (GNT)

There is no divine assignment which doesn’t require divine capacity, no matter how little it may seem.

If it is of God, then it is great!

See what David said when he was preparing materials for building the temple.

“And King David said to all the assembly, “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is still young and inexperienced and the work is great; for the temple is not for man but for the Lord God.“ 1 Chronicles 29:1 (Amplified)

Now, after all the materials needed were supplied for the building, David now unveiled how:

“Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name. “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your own hand we have given to You… O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a house for Your holy Name, it is from Your hand, and is all Your own.” 1 Chronicles 29:13-14,16. (Amplified).

It will always take God Himself to partner with you to do what He inspires or assigns you to do.

To have Christ in you is to have God’s partnership for any good work.

The spiritual capacity of God in you transcends your physical abilities.

The spiritual capacity is not only the ability to contain, but also God’s supply of ability within you to produce.

The Apostles acknowledged that all that they did was according to certain capacities. However, those capacities were supplied by God. (2 Corinthians 3:5 (GNT).

The Greek word for Capacity is “hikanotés”, it also means sufficiency, competence, ability, power, qualification, or fitness.

Though the capacity to do great things for God is supplied by the unlimited power of God, we have the responsibility to consistently increase in the capacity of God’s supplies.

Until you decide to take advantage of the unlimited supply of God within you to increase your spiritual capacity, you will not see unlimited results.

Every Kingdom’s achievement is greatly backed by divine capacity.

    Greatness responds to great capacity.

Your level of capacity will determine the size of the city or sphere you can take.

To increase Spiritual capacity is to be a consistent follower of Jesus.

The Lord teaches and trains you through certain men He has set in the Church. These men equip the saints for the work of the ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-12)

You also build capacity through intense focus on God’s work and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Focus gives direction to divine energies. Whatever has your attention attracts the resources of God within you.

    Don’t scatter divine resources, FOCUS!

And the more you fellowship with the Lord, the more you submit to Him for great help and supply.

You must also have the habit of praying in the Holy Spirit. As you pray in the spirit and meditate on the Word, you also build up yourself in faith and increase your inner capacity (Jude 1:20).

God has made you for big things; don’t settle for less, therefore, increase in capacity.

    Are you imbuing focus?

Are you meditating on the word?

Are you fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit?

How consistently do you speak in tongues?

Beloved, enlarge your tents, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. The season of great results and harvest is here!

    Hallelujah!!!

    PESERVERE AS A GOOD SOLDIER

“Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide: [so] that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it [to] you”

    John 15:16 (ASV)

No matter how much you wish to achieve great Kingdom results, you may still not produce them until you act or take consistent steps towards them.

From the revelation of the scriptures, you will realise fruit-bearing is not an option. The goal of discipleship in God’s Kingdom is for you to produce fruits consistent with the good pleasure of His will.

See what Jesus said, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8)

In your fruit-bearing or Kingdom results, your Heavenly Father is glorified. This doesn’t happen automatically, simply because you are a disciple of Jesus.

You can be a disciple of Jesus and still not bear fruit. To produce results, there are specific things to do:

    1. You have to make a decision that you are going to do much more as a disciple of Jesus.

    2. Be Consumed with the Success of the Kingdom.

Until you become interested in and passionate about the kingdom’s success, you will not be willing to take steps to make it happen.

God and His Kingdom must become your priority. Until God is your priority, you cannot invest in Him. Your heart must be after God.

One question you must always ask yourself is this:

How deep is my love and jealousy for God?

When you don’t love the Lord, you will not be willing to go the extra mile for His course. You will always make excuses and seek self-pleasure.

Challenges may arise to hinder your efforts to produce results. You don’t have to give up or draw back. There is something important you need to do:

    3. Contend for results.

Results require a relentless posture of faith. Because of the adversary’s resistance, your results will always come with a fight. This is not a fight to obtain victory; it is a fight to unleash and enforce the victory that you have obtained in Christ.

You don’t have to fake or pretend that you have the results; you must contend for them. To have results is a faith thing. You must contend and release your faith.

IT IS CALLED THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH!

Paul the apostle, in his last epistle to Timothy, made an affectionate heartthrob statement:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)

This fight of faith is a good, worthy and noble fight. It is to contend earnestly the glorious contest to guard the faith.

In Paul’s first epistle to Timothy, he instructed him to,

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12

As we have seen in the second epistle, Paul the apostle was instructing Timothy to do exactly what he was also doing. To have a fruitful experience of the faith, you must fight to express it. You must contend in faith.

Again he said, as part of his epistle to the Church in Philippi, “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14 (NKJV)

He has to press toward the goal because there are many things which may serve as limitations.

To press on and to contend for the results means you are not holding anything back. You have to fight, run and strive for the results.

In your attempt to achieve results, you may be confronted by trial.

“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12).

You have to persevere as a good soldier.

As you are taking steps, you must remain resolute and daring. You have to press on against all odds to produce consistent Kingdom results.

The moment you receive Christ by faith, you have entered His rest.

Nonetheless, as to touching the matter of your unlimited living, you have to decide to take advantage of Christ’s accomplishment in you.

Christ has brought you into His rest positionally, and transfused His life, nature and power into you for your daily living. You will continue to live in limitation until you exude the rich items of Christ within you in a practical way.

The accomplishment of Christ did not mean we would automatically live limitlessly. What Christ did give us was the power to determine the unlimited living of His life in us.

What does this say to you?

Beloved, the limitations in your life today are a result of how you have not taken advantage of the reality of Christ which is in you.

You can expand, you can grow, you can multiply, you can achieve glorious things according to His power, which works in you.

    HE IS YOUR STRENGTH

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

    Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

To have the strength of God, you must turn to Him and receive Him as life.
To have the Holy Spirit in you is to have the supply-center of strength in you.
The Holy Spirit dispenses and distributes all of the virtues of God into you.

“O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.” Isaiah 40:9-10 (KJV)

The Prophet Isaiah explains the extensiveness and limitlessness of the strength of God (Isaiah 40:12-28).

Now, you see in verses 29 – 31, the Prophet Isaiah explains how God supplies strength to those who are His.

Because God’s strength doesn’t faint, those who faint are strengthened by Him.

“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:29-31 (KJV)

The phrase, “even the youth shall faint”, is a depiction of how the strongest shall faint even in their prime. The youthful season is the prime season of every natural thing.

It is normal to faint in old age. It may even seem normal to grow weak after you have been pressed by challenges. It may seem normal to grow tired and become exhausted.
Yet the testimony of those who WAIT upon the Lord is different. Those who WAIT upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
Now the Lord gives power to the faint and causes strength and ability to abound towards those who lack might.

It doesn’t matter how the vicissitudes have beaten you up and crushed you; the moment you turn and open up to the LORD, strength is dispensed and distributed to you.

You cannot find divine strength outside God. To have divine strength, you must have God.
As a believer in Christ, you have the advantage; God lives in you, therefore His strength is inside you.
You can accomplish more with the strength of God when it is RENEWED. To RENEW the strength of God, you must learn to WAIT UPON THE LORD.
To wait upon the Lord is not just an imagery of a “Waiter” in a restaurant. The word WAIT is from the Hebrew word, “qâvâh . The primitive root for “qâvâh” means “TO BIND TOGETHER”.

To wait upon the Lord means to look patiently to the Lord, to expect and to be tied to the Lord. It means you are knitted and plaited with and to the LORD.

Jesus said, “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.” John 15:5 (TPT)

Inasmuch as it is good to be a tree, it is far greater and better to be a branch. The strength and fruitfulness of a branch are dependent on the tree. You must be knitted to the Lord as a fruitful branch is to a great tree.

Don’t be separated and be distracted or moved away from the Lord.
The more you remain in the Lord, the more you are renewed in strength.

  • EPISODE 694 – BE FULL OF THE WORD

    CHRIST COMMONWEALTH-COMMUNITY

    The Love-Life Agency

Until you hold on to the Word of God, you will not demonstrate absolute confidence in God. Beloved, hold on to the word!
    Apostle Bennie
    Author

    BE FULL OF THE WORD

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”

    Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)

The thoughts that run through your mind and the words you speak will always affect your living.

The kind of thoughts you entertain will shape your words, and your words will define your world.

When the adversary wants to attack your world, he exposes your mind to wrong thoughts. If he wants you to live defeated, he invades your mind with thoughts of weakness, failure, doubt, and negativity.

This is why you must become intentional with the meditation of the word of God.

You are not like a tree planted by the rivers of water simply because you are born again. It is not that automatic.

You can only be like a tree planted by the rivers of water when you make the word of God your delight and meditation (Psalm 1:1-3)

You cannot wage good warfare when you are not full of the word of God.

Imagine a soldier going to war without a sword.

How is he going to have an offensive advantage?

And the Word of God in your mouth is the Sword of the Spirit. Until you are full of the Word in all situations, you will not be sharp enough to address every opposing thought.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. (Colossians 3:16)

The greatest deceptive strategy of the adversary against you (as a believer in Christ) is to attack your thoughts by casting shadows on your mind, using the scriptures.

He cast shadows by misquoting or misrepresenting the true meaning of the word.

He mainly attacks your identity in Christ.

That was how he attacked Adam and Eve in Eden. He attacked their identity.

“Of course we may eat it,” the woman told him. “It’s only the fruit from the tree at the center of the garden that we are not to eat. God says we mustn’t eat it or even touch it, or we will die.”

“That’s a lie!” the serpent hissed. “You’ll not die! God knows very well that the instant you eat it you will become like him, for your eyes will be opened—you will be able to distinguish good from evil.” Genesis 3:3-4 (TLB)

Meanwhile, God created man in His own image and after His own likeness (Genesis 1:26).

Again, after the Father had declared these words during the baptism of Jesus, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!” (Matthew 3:17)

The devil came to tempt Jesus, saying, “ If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” (Matthew 4:3)

    Do you see it?

He came attacking what the voice said concerning Jesus.

The moment he used the phrase “If you are the Son of God”, he was subtly creating uncertainty in the mind of Jesus.

He now wants Jesus to think he is not yet the son of God, but will only become one by doing what he tells him to do. And if Jesus had done what the adversary was deceptively asking for, he might have lived in doubt of who He is and been ruled by the thoughts of the devil.

Beloved, do not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy.

The adversary will always attack what God says about you!

Jesus knew the devil’s devices and deployed the word of God.

“But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

    Did the devil stop there?

Not at all. He kept using various means in an attempt to make Jesus act contrary to his reality. Yet, Jesus consistently addressed the situation with the word, till He finally and sternly cast the devil out using the word as a weapon. Jesus didn’t just quote the scripture; He had to use it as a weapon.

This time, Jesus didn’t just say it is written, He said:

“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ (Matthew 4:10)

This was similar to what David did when he confronted Goliath.

Beloved, what is the challenge confronting you? Take hold of the word of God concerning that situation and use the word as a weapon to enforce your victory.

Get hold of the word, be full of the word of God, that you may be ready in all seasons; with your mouth full of the right words to be used to wage war.

    OUR CORE MANDATE IS RECONCILIATION

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

    Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

In the present Church, many have relegated the core mandate of the Church and made the additional benefits of our relationship with God their priority.

Churches today in their bid to help society, have become need-centered rather than Christ-centered.

This has made the present-age, average believer in Christ become focused on his or her individual needs rather than the purpose of Christ.

God is more interested in our individual needs than we are. However, God has a bigger picture and wants us to uphold that picture than our personal needs or interests.

Some people go to Church meetings today, not with the same goal as the first-century Church.

The gathering of the saints is not primarily to meet the self-centred needs of the saints. The gathering of the saints is primarily to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12 (NLT)

To do the work of the ministry is to reconcile many to Christ and to disciple them to become the expression of Christ.

As this is achieved, the Kingdom of God expands in the hearts of many.

The goal of the adversary transcends you. The goal of the adversary is to attack your accomplishments in the Kingdom.

He knows that when he can get you depressed, afraid, troubled, and wearied, you will not be able to do the things God wants you to do. When you are not able to stand against his evil schemes and enforce your victory in Christ, you will not be able to shine the glorious light of the Kingdom in the dark places.

The adversary knows that if he could make you live occupied with your personal needs, you will not have the focus of the Kingdom.

When the satisfaction of your personal needs becomes your goal and cravings, Christ will not be at the center of your heart.

Let God (who is your loving Father) take care of your needs, as you set your affection and focus on His assignment for your life.

This was one of the key secrets of King Solomon. He set his focus on his assignment as Israel’s king. He didn’t request personal things but the wisdom to rule God’s people, and God blessed him with wealth and riches.

“Moreover, I will give you what you did not request—both riches and honor—so that during all your days no man in any kingdom will be your equal.” 1 Kings 3:13 (Berean Standard Bible).

Pay attention to what Jesus said:

“So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require?
“So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.”
     Matthew 6:31-33 (TPT)

We are at war with the forces of darkness to enforce our victory in Christ and to fulfill God’s kingdom plan.

Have a bigger perspective on this spiritual warfare.

You are not wrestling against the evil strategies of the accuser (including all his highest evil principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms) because of your personal needs.

You are wrestling against powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage, because of the mandate of the Kingdom.

The expansion of God’s Kingdom in the hearts of men and the dark places of the earth should be your focus.
