    GOD’S LOVE LANGUAGE 4

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” 1 John 5:3 (NKJV).

The commandments of our Lord Jesus, are within the parameters of His Love.

The focus of God’s commandments in Christ Jesus, is our growth and expression of His Eternal Life.

His commandments in Christ are not to produce condemnation in us.

Remember in previous episode, I mentioned that, the commandments we are to keep are not the Law of Moses.

Peter, the apostle, puts it this way:

“So why on earth would you now limit God’s grace by placing a yoke of religious duties on the shoulders of the believers that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?” Acts 15:10 (TPT)

He calls the Mosaic Laws, “a yoke…our fathers couldn’t bear”.

The Mosaic Law was more mechanic and not organic.

The commands of Jesus are organic realities which are within us for His expression.

They are infused into you as spirit and life.

He said, “The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life”. John 6:63

Anything the Lord says, is backed with His Love, Spirit and Life.

Jesus said, “For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:30 (Amp).

God doesn’t come putting a burdensome rules for you to keep. He is love!
And according to the workings of His love , the Holy Spirit has poured out the love of God in our hearts, and has produced in us the ability of God’s grace to work His word.

This means His commandments are not troubling task for us to keep.
They are the truth of His life at work in us.

Beloved, have you thought of this amazing love?

The Lord loves us so much that, the outflow of His love towards us, is what we express towards Him.

    GOD’S LOVE LANGUAGE 3

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” 1 John 5:3 (NKJV).

There is more to glean from this verse.

Beloved, don’t quickly jump into an idea that, keeping some regulations and laws is equated to the Love of God.

Yes, the prove or evidence of Love is doing what Jesus says.

Nevertheless, you are not the manufacturer of this Love. You don’t have the responsibility to design this Love. Which means, the Lord Jesus is not demanding love from you. He only wants you to express His Love which He has dispensed into you through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).

This is why it is not burdensome, because He is the supply of the love at work in you.

And Jesus is not saying, if you don’t keep my commandments I will not love you.

    John 14:15
“If ye love me, keep my commandments…”

Here, Jesus is not issuing out a threat to you.

It is a call to demonstrate the deep intimacy of love He has with you.

Keeping His word is a fruit of His love.

Please don’t get our discussion twisted, keeping the commandments of Jesus is not your negotation for His love.

Neither is it His negotiation to love you.

Jesus’ love for you is boundless.
He wants you to remain in His love.

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.”* (John 15:9)

    GOD’S LOVE LANGUAGE 2

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” 1 John 5:3 (NKJV).

From yesterday’s episode, I explained briefly that, God has a love language.

And that, you are to love the Lord just as He has loved you.
Understanding God’s love language, is so essential for your manifestation.

Beloved, do you love the Lord?
    The answer is here:

“If ye love me, keep my commandments… He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.” John 14:15;24 (KJV).

To keep God’s commandment is to walk in obedience of His Word. It is to fulfill an authoritative prescription.

This means, the Lord’s commandments are not burdensome. As we have seen in the opening verse (1 John 5:3).

The word “burdensome” is the Greek word, ” barus” which means, burdensome grave, or grievous, heavy weightier.

God’s commandment does not lead to burdensome grave. God’s commandment as revealed in Christ, is Life.

It is an authorised prescription of liberty.

Remember Jesus is the Truth and the Life. (John 14:6; John 1:14; John 1:4).

The Lord’s commandments are not some lists of rules and regulations you need to follow. He is not speaking of the Law given to Israel through Moses.

The Lord’s commandments are the revelation of Himself.
He is the complete revelation of God.
He is the truth of God that brings freedom (John 8:32)

Now, for Jesus to say, “If” you love me, doesn’t necessarily mean, its possible a born again, may lack His love.

When you become born again, the Love of God is dispensed into you, through, the Holy Spirit. (Romans 5:5).

Thus, you already have the capacity to Love the Lord.

This means that, to keep Jesus’ commandments is a product of your love for Him.
Doing what Jesus says, or obeying His Word, is an outflow of the love of God at work in you.

This love is deeply rich and cannot be exhausted nor be quenched by any level of selfish desire.

It is beyond any strong affection, and it is set on doing what Jesus wants. That means the love is an empowering ability within you to respond right to the Words of Jesus and to act on it.

The more you act on the Word of the Lord, the more you demonstrate His rich love, which is at work in you.

You train yourself to demonstrate His Love and to bear fruits of His love in you.

    Shalom

    *Dig deeper:*
(Read and meditate on these: Deuteronomy 6:5;10:12; Mark 12:30; Jon 8:29;55)

    *WE PRAY*
    1. That your love will grow and increase beyond measure, bringing you into the rich revelation of spiritual insight in all things. And that you will be enabled to choose the most excellent way of all —becoming pure and without offense until the unveiling of Christ.

    2. And you will be filled completely with the fruits of righteousness that are found in Jesus, the Anointed One—bringing great praise and glory to God!

    DECLARE THESE WORDS:

    GOD’S LOVE LANGUAGE

    Glory to God!

Thanks be to God for this New Month of February, in our year of Beholding The Kingdom Glory and Power.

To behold the Kingdom Glory and Power, is essentially to behold the Lord.

“So I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and glory. Because Your loving devotion is better than life, my lips will glorify You.” Psalm 63:2-3 (Berean Study Bible)

By beholding the Lord, you are launched into realms of knowledge and understanding of God.

You grow into deeper knowledge of His Love, His Righteousness, His Grace, His Wisdom, His Dominion, His Sovereignty, His Economy, His Will, His Power and His Glory.

You grow into the understanding of these dimensions of God through the ministry of the Word.
The Holy Spirit gives you illumination, as you read, study and meditate on the Word of God. And He also trains you through the ministry of the Men He has sent to teach and shepherd you. Through the avenues the Lord has established for you to be nurtured, you are also overwhelmed by the knowledge of His Love.

It’s great to know the extent God loves you. The knowledge of God’s love casts out fear and doubt. It brings you into full assurance of joy and hope in Him.

However, in your journey of faith and service to God, you must also demonstrate love towards God.

Until you love the Lord, you cannot serve Him.

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other…” (Matthew 6:24, New American Standard Bible)

Beloved, God doesn’t only love you, He also wants you to love Him.

God is a Person. He made man to have a relationship with Him.
This relationship is intrinsically a Father-child relationship.
God designed you to have an organic relationship of love with Him. He didn’t make you to be a robot.

He made you to receive His love and to express love.

Thus, just as you are loved by God, you are also to love the Lord.

Now to love the Lord you must understand His love language.

Everyone has a “love language”; this refers to how a person prefers to receive love from a partner.

It is how one proves the love of the other.

God has shown us in the scriptures, the things we can do to prove our love towards Him.

    See this:

“If ye love me, keep my commandments… He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.” John 14:15;24 (KJV).

    Wow!!

Keeping the Lord’s commandment is the prove of your love to Him.

Beloved, do you love the Lord?

Keep His commandment. Thus, as you make time to fellowship with the scriptures (as you read, study, listen to and meditate His Word), you will understand His commandment and will be enabled to keep it.

Understand also that, the commandments of the Lord are not burdensome. Through Christ Jesus, the restfulness of God’s commandment is revealed.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” 1 John 5:3 (NKJV).

Walk in the restfulness of the Word.

    Shalom

    *WE PRAY*
That we walk fully in the love of God which is already at work in us. And we enjoy grace to keep and act on the Word of the Lord.

    DECLARE THESE WORDS:

I receive divine ability and deep understanding to act rightly on God’s Word. I function daily according to God’s commandment, which is revealed in Christ Jesus.

  • EPISODE 9 – DO THESE FOUR THINGS

    MACHAIRA

    (Pronounced makh’-ahee-rah)

    – Daily revelatory thoughts to sharpen you and to help you grow in deep spiritual understanding and knowledge.

    – Scriptures for your daily meditation.

    – Daily Christ-centered and apostolic-prophetic prayers.

This is our MONTH OF MEDITATION
And our Year of BEHOLDING THE KINGDOM
    GLORY AND POWER.

    Tuesday, 31st January, 2023

    DO THESE FOUR THINGS

Today is the climax of the first month of this new year. You don’t need to wait till the ending of the year before you make the most of every opportunity. You must be intentional with your decisions and
choices. This is why I am sharing these four crucial items with you today.

    DO THESE FOUR THINGS:

    1. Write down your plans plainly
“And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.” Habbakuk 2:2

Yes, its good to keep Divine inspirations to heart. However, you should also write them plainly. Write plainly the things the Lord has inspired you to
do in His Kingdom and Ministry, Business and Finance, Academics or Education and Family. Don’t assume you will remember all the the
inspirations of the Spirit. Whiles you pray or fellowship with the Spirit keep your notes by you. As you read, study and meditate on the scriptures, keep a writing material.

    2. Get into Prayer.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established”. Proverbs 16:3 (NASB)

Prayer is not just to be done in January. Prayer must be your daily habit. It must be part of your life and living. Don’t just have one good day of prayer.
“Men always ought to pray” (Luke 18:1), “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17).

Understand that Prayer is not just to have God to answer your requests; through Prayer you are supplied with grace and ability to do.
“We plan the way we want to live, but only God
makes us able to live it” Proverbs 16:9 (MSG)

Through prayer you receive clarity of purpose and also submit the totality of God’s inspirations and ideas to you, back to Him. You put God in charge.
    (Read Proverbs 16:3 Message Translation).

    3. Get into Action.
“Get up, for this matter is your responsibility, and we will support you. Be strong and take action! ” Ezra 10:4 (Berean Study Bible)

Those ideas and plans were not to be locked up in your notes as prayer topics. Plans are to be executed. You have to act on the plans as the Lord has given you grace and ability to do. You must act with a
sense of urgency. “Now that you know these things, you will be
blessed if you do them.” John 13:17 (NIV)

    4. Maintain Consistency.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” Galatians 6:9

Consistently plan, write the ideas, pray and move into action. It takes discipline and diligence to be consistent. This year is a great year for you.

    Remain Blessed.

    Shalom.

    DIG DEEPER:
    (Deut. 1:6-8;
    Psalm 119:60; 1 Peter 1:13)

    WE PRAY
That the Lord will guide our steps as we execute all
that He has inspired us to do. In the name of Jesus.

BIBLE READING IN THE YEAR 2023
    Day 2: Genesis 4-7

    DECLARE THESE WORDS:
    – I put God’s plans and ideas to work.

    – I have fresh
ability to do what God inspires me to do.

    – I act
    diligently and consistently.

    Shalom!
