THE BEST COMES OUT OF YOU

“Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!”

    John 7:38 (TPT)

To be born again is to receive the divine life and to be a partaker of God’s nature.

At the New birth, God indwell you through the Spirit. To have God in you means you are enriched with glory.

This then means that anyone in Christ must not assume they are empty or void of glory.

Some people in Christ don’t walk in the consciousness of what Christ has produced in them. They judge and measure the value of their lives by their outward circumstances.

They judge themselves by some characteristics they used to exude before they got born again.

For example, one will claim that “She has temper issues and lacks patience.”

But how can you lack patience when the endless love of God has cascaded into your hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in you!

To have the Holy Spirit in you is to have the capacity to express God.

To have the Holy Spirit in you means you cannot be void and worthless.
In Genesis 1:2, it was clear that the earth was without form and was void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. However, the moment there was the presence of the Spirit of God upon the face of the waters. The word of God brought forth light amidst this dark situation.

It doesn’t matter how badly your character has been; when you have the Holy Spirit in you, His character saturates your being and gives you the capacity to express His quality.

From the opening verse, we see Jesus making a profound statement:

He said, When you believe in Him, rivers of living water will burst out from within you. This speaks of the Holy Spirit in you. Flowing from your innermost being is the refreshing substance of the Spirit.

Wastage doesn’t come out of you. Dead things don’t come out of you.

The only thing which comes out of you is that which is full of life and living.

Live and walk daily in the consciousness of the quality of the Holy Spirit in you.

No matter how bad or worse you have been in the past, the Holy Spirit in you causes you to express the best of God.

    This is your reality.

Through Christ’s work, the believer is legally qualified to share in the authority of Jesus.

The believer in Christ has come into union with Christ. All believers or saints in Christ are members of His body of His flesh and His bones. (Ephesians 5:30)

As members of His body, we also exude His authority. Jesus is seated far above all rule and authority and power and dominion [whether angelic or human], and eternally [far above] every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred]. Since we are seated with Christ, we share with Him in this greatness of authority, for Christ demonstrates His rule through His Church (Ephesians 1:19-23).

You are seated with Christ, refuse to be intimidated by any dominion or rule which is under the feet of Christ. As members of His body, anything under His feet is under our feet.

Walk in this consciousness of authority.

    MANIFEST HIS GLORY

“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.”

    2 Cor. 3:18 (Amplified)

When you were born again, the Lord made you a partaker of His glory.

The glory of God is in you.

The glory of God is the beauty and excellence of God revealed in your life.
The manifestation of God’s glory is to be seen in every aspect of your life.
Wherever Jesus went and whatever He did, there was the manifestation of the glory of God.

John said, “…we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 (NKJV)

Whatever you share with Christ becomes the reality of who you are. As you share in the glory of God in Christ Jesus, you also become the glory of God.

As a partaker of the glory of God, you are also designed to show forth or make known His glory in all things.

“But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.” 1 Peter 2:9 (TPT).

As a partaker of the glory of God, you are mandated to broadcast or announce, or showcase the glory which you have received.

This is the purpose of your calling.

He called you out of darkness, corruption, defeat, failure and brought you into His marvellous light (to make you a light being) that His glory will be seen in you.

You have a duty to bring many to the knowledge of the classic grandeur of God.
The wisdom of God is an expression of God’s glory. The love of God, His goodness, prosperity, peace, healing virtues and power are all expressions of God’s glory.

Remember, the glory of God is the expression of God.

God’s glory or excellence, and beauty must be seen in how you love, speak, and handle situations or responsibilities.

God, who is Spirit and invisible, can be seen and experienced through you. As the embodiment of the glory of God, anyone who interacts with you must behold the majestic excellence of God.

Your words must be full of wisdom and grace. Your work ethic at the office must be a reflection of God’s creativity and excellence.

Anyone who sees you must see the effulgence of Christ.

    Get this:

You don’t manifest the glory of God just by shouting “Gloryyyyyy!!!”

It’s great to celebrate the glory of God and rejoice in it.

However, you manifest the glory of God by showcasing the beautiful heart of God to your world.

    FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE

“Whether you eat or drink, live your life in a way that glorifies and honors God.”

    1 Corinthians 10:31 (TPT)

Our Lord Jesus is the ultimate model and pattern of our Faith. Our true identity is in Christ.

Jesus came to unveil the mystery of godliness (1 Timothy 3:16). The mystery of godliness is the expression of the GOD-MAN (Jesus was revealed as fully God and fully man).

Thus the mystery of godliness is not just the revelation of God to man; it is also the revelation of man’s originality to man.
Man’s renaissance of identity and purpose can only be found in Christ Jesus.
That is why we are charged through the scriptures to continue to behold Jesus.
As you behold Jesus you begin to live and function like Him.

“…As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17).

To function like Jesus is to live the life God has predestined you to be conformed to His image and live like He did (Romans 8:29).

When you became born again, you received His life and nature. His purpose also became your purpose.
In Salvation, we were created to be in the likeness and image of Jesus.
“…Nevertheless I live yet not I but it is Christ that lives in me. The life that I live now in the flesh  I live by the faith of the Son of God…” (Galatians 2:20).

All that Jesus did was unto the glory of God. What else must be the purpose of your living and what you do?
It must be unto the glory of God just as Jesus lived.
Jesus lived to honor the Father above Himself.

We also have to live to honor the Father above ourselves. We don’t honor God just to win favor from Him. We honor the Father for who He is.
We don’t live like ordinary men, for they have no thoughts of God and don’t live to acknowledge Him nor glorify Him.
“For since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” Romans 1:20-21 (NKJV).
However, as you are in Christ, the Prophecy of Isaiah is your reality.
“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.“

The hearts of men are darkened and they walk in the futility of their thoughts because they have not acknowledged and glorified God; even though they see His attributes through creation.

But for us, our reality is different, when we beheld and received Jesus, the glorious light of the knowledge of God shone in our hearts. Therefore, we live daily to glorify and honor God.
Whatever you do, look beyond your self-interest, or satisfaction. Whatever you do must not be according to your will or desire but unto God’s glory and honor.
You don’t do things just to please yourself. You don’t do things just because it is a sin or not. The question is:

    How does it GLORIFY GOD?
How is your daily life, your speech, your conduct bringing glory to God and honoring Him?
This is how you emulate the example of Jesus.

That we shall not live according to the futile thoughts and darkened hearts of men. But we will live everyday emulating Jesus (who glorified the Father in everything).

YOU ARE SEATED IN GLORY 3

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus

    Ephesians 2:6 (KJV)

When God made man, the first day man saw was His rest.

The final work of God in His creation was man on the sixth day. (Genesis 1:24-31).
The beginning of man’s day after He was made was the seventh day.

God finished all His work on the seventh day and rested.

Man didn’t meet God working. Man met God in rest.

“Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.” Genesis 2:1-3 (NKJV)

Man’s work is what God has done. Which means whatever man was designed for must be done in REST. Man was to live his days in rest.

Yes, God made man to be fruitful and multiply, to fill the earth and to subdue it, to have dominion and to till the ground and tend the earth. However, all these were to be done in REST.

To come into rest is to work from what God has finished. For God to rest means He is satisfied. Thus to be in the rest of God is to dwell in God’s satisfaction.

God’s glory is seen in you when you enjoy His satisfaction.
To come into rest is to come to the place of communion, intimacy and a deep relationship with God.

God didn’t intend that His relationship with man would be based on works and religious efforts unto righteousness.

God made man to have a relationship with him (man) based on who He (God) is and not based on man’s self-generated effort.

God made man and brought him into the abundance of His provision. Man was to enjoy, care and express all that the Lord supplied.

When man fell from glory (Romans 3:23), man also fell from rest.

Man who was to enjoy communion with God in rest must now attempt to use self-effort to connect to God.

God is so loving, beloved. Even after man’s fall, God began to work His saving plan to bring man into His complete rest. (Genesis 3:15,21)

All through the scriptures, you will find God walking man through His plan.

The idea of the animal sacrifices in the Tabernacle and the temple was to teach man how He (the Lord) is ushering man into His rest.

In the old covenant, worshippers of God found peace and felt whole after they had offered a sacrifice. And most of all when the High Priest had presented the blood of an unblemished lamb on the mercy seat in the Most Holy Place.

They had to offer regular daily sacrifices (Numbers 28:1-8), weekly sacrifices during the sabbath (Numbers 28:9-10), monthly sacrifices every first day of the month (Numbers 28:11-15), then the yearly Passover celebration sacrifices, the thin bread and annual harvest sacrifices (Numbers 28:16-31).

These sacrifices were to bring them into daily, weekly, monthly and yearly rest and peace with God.

You can imagine how the High Priest and the Priests have to work daily. This isn’t a one-time thing. They offer sacrifices every day of the whole year, morning and evening.

The High Priest is daily standing to offer sacrifices.

However, that is not our testimony in the New Testament. In Christ, our High Priest is seated once and for all. To be seated means He has finished His work and has entered His rest.

“Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins. But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. There he waits until his enemies are humbled and made a footstool under his feet. For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.” Hebrews 10:11-14 (NLT)

As we have seen previously, when Jesus sat in glory, we sat with Him in glory. Just as in the Old Covenant, the offeror stands with the Priests every day, we also who are in Christ, are seated with Him forever.

Jesus sat in honor. To be seated in honor is to be seated in glory. Furthermore, to be seated is to be at rest. The High Priest kept standing in the Old Covenant, which means they have not entered the rest. They must work daily to feel at peace with God.

But for us, we are seated in rest with Christ. To be seated in honor or glory is to be seated in rest forever in Christ.

The believer in Christ is not trying to enter rest. The man in Christ is seated in rest.

This is not the restoration of Adam experiencing rest on God’s sabbath.
This is the tangible transcendent manifestation of God’s sabbath in wholeness.

Beloved, your relationship with God is not a strive to enter rest. Your relationship with God is the eternal enjoyment of God’s rest.

    Hallelujah!

YOU ARE SEATED IN GLORY 2

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus

    Ephesians 2:6 (KJV)

The new man in Christ is not a fallen man. The new man in Christ is risen with Christ.

The consequence of sin is death.

“but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:17 (NKJV)

Again we see this affirmed in Romans 6:23:

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (KJV)

Jesus death was a payment of the penalty of sin. And this is the twofold reality of the death of Jesus:

    – Jesus DIED FOR all men (Substitutionary sacrifice). Jesus didn’t only die for those who believed in Him. He died for both those who reject Him and those who receive Him.

    – Jesus DIED WITH all those who received Him (Identification). The thing is, until you receive Christ you don’t share in the benefits of His death; even though He died for you. When you receive Jesus, you become a participant of the reality of His death, burial and resurrection.

The climax of Jesus’ death and resurrection was in His exaltation. Jesus who is God became flesh and humbled Himself even unto the death of shame. By this demonstration of obedience, He multiplied His authority and greatness in resurrection and ascension. (Philippians 2:6-10).

To be seated with Christ simply means to be alive with Christ and to share in His authority.

The believer is seated in Christ through faith in Christ. This faith is dependent on all that which Christ achieved through His work and resurrection. Through Christ’s work, the believer is legally qualified to share in the authority of Jesus.

The believer in Christ has come into union with Christ. All believers or saints in Christ are members of His body of His flesh and His bones. (Ephesians 5:30)
