DON’T STAY AT THE LEVEL YOU ARE
“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.”
2 Cor. 3:18 (Amplified)
Beloved, This is a special week of intimacy and the Lord wants you to walk in the consciousness of this reality.
Until Jesus came, no man partook of the reality of God’s glory.
The glory which Moses emitted was that which passed away. There was a glory of the law or of the Old Covenant. However, it is nowhere near the glory which we have in Christ Jesus.
In comparison to the glory we have in Christ, the glory of the Old Covenant is no glory at all.
Have a good read to grasp what I’m saying:
“He is the one who has helped us tell others about his new agreement to save them. We do not tell them that they must obey every law of God or die; but we tell them there is life for them from the Holy Spirit. The old way, trying to be saved by keeping the Ten Commandments, ends in death; in the new way, the Holy Spirit gives them life.
Yet that old system of law that led to death began with such glory that people could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For as he gave them God’s law to obey, his face shone out with the very glory of God—though the brightness was already fading away. Shall we not expect far greater glory in these days when the Holy Spirit is giving life? If the plan that leads to doom was glorious, much more glorious is the plan that makes men right with God. In fact, that first glory as it shone from Moses’ face is worth nothing at all in comparison with the overwhelming glory of the new agreement. So if the old system that faded into nothing was full of heavenly glory, the glory of God’s new plan for our salvation is certainly far greater, for it is eternal. 2 Corinthians 3:6-11 (TLB)
As you are in Christ, you don’t pray for glory. This is because you have been brought into the overwhelming glory of the New Testament.
By your new nature in Christ, you don’t only have the overwhelming glory of God. You have now become the glory of God. You are now the expression of God.
However, you have to nurture the nature of glory in you.
You nurture the nature of glory by continuously beholding Jesus.
The more you behold the Lord, the more you advance in the glory of God. As you advance you don’t first look out for things around you to be beautified. Pursue the increase of divine glory and beauty within you.
You must have an intense relationship with God. Focus on the Word of His grace and fellowship with the Spirit.
Don’t just live as normal as everyone. Don’t be satisfied with the level you are in your relationship with Jesus. Avoid double-mindedness! Set your eyes on Jesus and crave more for the sweet intimacy with Jesus.
You will soon begin to reflect and reveal God in all you do.
Don’t stay at the level you are.
Beloved, you advance in glory by growing deeply in your relationship with Jesus.
Hallelujah.
