LOVE NEVER FAILS
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails…“
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV)
The knowledge of Christ is the communication of the truth of God. Anything in God you want to experience and enjoy is packaged in Christ.
The only way to demonstrate God, is to receive Christ. Christ in you, is all of God’s essence dispensed into you.
You cannot demonstrate the love of God outside Christ. Christ is the embodiment and the revelation of the love of God.
The love of God which is fully revealed through Christ is poured into our hearts, by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).
Now with the love of Christ in your heart, you have the endless stream of love within you, to nourish others. You don’t have to try to be patient, kind, bear all things, believe all things and hope all things.
You don’t have to attempt not to envy, not to parade yourself, not to behave rudely, not to think evil, not to be easily provoked and not to behave rudely.
You practically demonstrate these things because the love of God is already in your heart.
Any kind of love apart from the Love of God fails. The only kind of love which cannot fail is the GOD-KIND OF LOVE.
To say love never fails, means, it cannot be inefficient and it is endless.
After all things have ended, the greatest thing, which will remain is LOVE. (1 Corinthians 13:13).
This God-kind of Love exists as perpetual as God is; for God is LOVE (1 John 4:8).
You can only love by the empowering ability of the God-kind of love poured into you.
Your self-generated love is imperfect. It’s just like that of Peter, who denied Jesus. He boasted in his love for Jesus.
He said, “Lord I will lay down my life for your sake”.
But that love was not an outflow of the love of Christ. It was his “selfish-love” which couldn’t stand the test of time.
Yep!
He denied Jesus three times. (John 13:30-38; John 18:25-27).
This was even after Jesus had spoken of the new commandment, “…as I have loved you, love one another” (John 13:34).
Right there in John 13, we see the difference between the Love of God revealed in Christ and the love of man revealed in Peter.
But after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, on the day of Pentecost; Peter stood before the multitudes who were mocking their experience of the Spirit, ministered to them and got 3000 people saved.
He declared the love and the power of Jesus to these multitudes, yet before the death of Jesus, he denied the Lord Jesus, three times. This is the compelling force of love of God in Christ.
The only love which cannot fail is the love of God in Christ. Thanks be to God that now we have the ability to love as Christ loves us.
God has poured His love into us through the Spirit, that, He can spill-out His love through us unto others.
The question is, are you loving others as you love yourself?
That will fail…!!!
What cannot fail is, LOVING OTHERS AS CHRIST HAS LOVED YOU.
You don’t love people by what you like or don’t like. You don’t love people according to your own preference.
You love others according to the LOVE OF CHRIST IN YOU. This is the love which cannot and never fails.
The most significant thing, dear one in the Lord, is not your talent, your gift nor skill. The most significant thing in your life in Christ is THE LOVE OF GOD.
How do you receive and enjoy His love? How do you love the Lord? And how are you demonstrating His love towards others?
This love of God in Christ is supernatural, high-level love which never fails.
This divine love is already in you as a life-changing river of love; allow it to flow forth from you to others.
Glory to God.
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and immovable. Always excel in the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Shalom!
DIG DEEPER
(John 13:30-38; John 18:25-27; Psalm 118:1-29; Psalm 136; Lamentations 3:22-24)
WE PRAY
– Lord thank you that your love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, and that your love never fails in us.
– That we may be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord and the expression of His love in us towards others.
– Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which has loved us, and given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort our hearts, and establish us in the consistency of demonstrating His love towards one another no matter the burdens.
