LIVING UNTO HIS GLORY
“Whether you eat or drink, live your life in a way that glorifies and honors God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 (TPT)
For some days now I have been drumming this matter of faith into your heart (that is, if you have been consistent with the Machaira with Apostle Bennie).
And today I want to admonish you on this reality of living unto the glory of God.
As you are in Christ, it is imperative for you to live beyond your interest or satisfaction. Whatever you do must not be according to your will or desire but unto God’s glory and honor.
The question is:
How does what you do GLORIFY GOD?
As you are in Christ you must emulate Him.
Your daily life, your speech, and your conduct must bring glory to God and honor to Him, just as Jesus did.
How do you Honor or bring Glory to God?
1. SET YOUR HEART ON GOD
Whatever you do for the Lord must be inspired by your inward devotion, and accompanied by purity of heart. True honor and glory begin from within. Jesus addressing the hypocritical Jews said:
“You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;” Matthew 15:7-8 (NLT).
Don’t attempt to just honor the Lord with your lips and deep in your heart, you are far from Him. This means genuine honor to God begins with your personal relationship with God.
Until you set your heart right towards the Lord anything you do will be of the flesh and will not be reckoned as honor to the Lord.
Whatever you do must be hewn out of your love for the Lord. Your love for the Lord must be with all of your heart.
“And he said to him, Have love for the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest rule” (Matthew 22:37-38)
2. THROUGH OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S COMMAND
Jesus honored and glorified God by obeying the Lord.
Through Christ Jesus, we have the ability to walk in obedience. You don’t obey God by your efforts. You walk in obedience to God’s word and command according to His ability which is in you.
God is in you to work through you unto His glory.
“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.“ Philippians 2:13 (AMP)
This is why you must understand the will of God. The will of God is encapsulated in the scriptures. The word of God embodies His will.
To obey God is to act according to His word. This is not a difficult task; for you are born of the word in Christ (1 Peter 1:23).
Your obedience to God is also a product of God’s worth in your heart. And this demonstrates how you glorify Him.
One of the key commandments Jesus gave to every believer is in Mark 16:15:
“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (NLT)
This is not a suggestion, but a command from Jesus.
To obey this commandment of Jesus is to honor and glorify God. That was how Jesus demonstrated the glory of the Father. He preached and got many saved. Jesus called it the work of the Father (John 9:4).
It is the desire of God to get many saved (1 Timothy 2:4). And as you participate in this great desire of the Father, you honor and glorify Him.
Beloved, Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandment” (John 14:15). This brings glory and honor to the Father.
Shalom!
– That we shall glorify and honor the Lord through our obedience to His word and will with the integrity of our hearts.
– That by the wisdom of God we shall know how to honor the Lord through our obedience to the command of the Lord to preach the gospel to many and get them saved.
In the glorious name of Jesus.
2 YEARS PLAN
1 Kings 13
DECLARE THESE WORDS:
– I live beyond my interest and satisfaction.
Awesome!
We are here to do God’s good pleasure. He stirs up our heart to do His will.
To do His will, one question matters, how does what I do bring glory to God.
It begins first by setting your heart on the Lord and then doing His will.
In His will, He commands us to preach the Gospel to all men.
Glorreeyyy
It is not a matter of your own effort to walk in obedience to God but your walk in obedience to Him and his command is because of His ability in you.
It is not about self efforts but Him alone.
Heyaaaa🔥🔥🔥🔥 thank you Lord.🙏🙌
To glorify and honor God is to obey Mark 16:15:
“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (NLT).
But it all begins from the heart;setting it on God then you can fulfill the commandment

We being yielded to God is key to his glory manifesting through as because his investment in us is set to manifest on the outside but it takes intentional steps for this investment to bring out its results
Even though it is God who is in us both to will and to do but no yielding to him and going according to his command will give the opportunity for the flesh to take over. When we set our heart on the lord he becomes more alive in our hearts and we move to his promptings with ease and clarity but when we draw far his voice become faint to hear so unless mercy works on our behalf we do what is otherwise.
