HE HAS GIVEN YOU HIS REST
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 (NLT)
From previous episodes, we’ve been discussing BE HELPFUL and yesterday we looked at EDIFY YOURSELF.
Which have been a refreshing daily feast.
Today I want your heart to be fully settled on this reality that:
The victory that Christ has brought us is rich with His rest!
You don’t have to feel pressured and overwhelmed to help others.
Glory to God!
Whenever people get to think about their relationship with God, they first think of what they have to do for the Lord, or what they think the Lord has to do for them.
Most believers are work-oriented and self-oriented.
Jesus who is God manifested in the flesh, came to show us the delight of God.
God is not essentially interested in what you want to do for Him or what you want. Through Christ Jesus, we see that God wants you to ENJOY HIM!
To enjoy God is to focus on what He SUPPLIES to you.
Read the opening verse again:
Jesus said, “… I will GIVE you REST”.
Jesus didn’t invite you to Himself primarily because of what you will do for Him, but what He will give to you.
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear” Matthew 11:28-30 (TPT)
You cannot genuinely share in the delight of the Father when you have not enjoyed what He SUPPLIES to you.
His glory is expressed through you when you enjoy His gifts.
When Jesus said, “I WILL GIVE YOU REST”. He meant it!
The reality is this, as you have already come to Christ, HE HAS GIVEN YOU REST.
When you came into Christ, He didn’t only give you rest; YOU ENTERED HIS REST.
“For the one who has once entered His rest has also rested from [the weariness and pain of] his [human] labors, just as God rested from [those labors uniquely] His own.” Hebrews 4:10 (Amplified)
Whatever you do with the Lord and how you daily live must be rooted and established in the reality of the REST which CHRIST has given to you.
Are you running or waging war in anxiety or the REST OF JESUS?
We are in the rest of Jesus, therefore enjoy His rest!
His yoke is easy and His burden is light. He is not difficult to please.
Whatever He tells you to do, He is in it with you. He is the loving Father who bears your burdens.

We pray thanking the Lord for the rest that He has given us in Him.

– I have seized from all my struggles and works.
– I am not anxious about the future.
– I have absolute dependence in the supply of the Lord.
– I trust and enjoy the voice of God.
– The Lord leads me daily in the oasis of peace by His voice.
– The Lord is my satisfaction and enjoyment.
– I am not need conscious.
Thank you Lord Jesus!
Hallelujah! My life is joined with Jesus…l find refreshment and rest in Him.
I focus on the mandate the Lord has entrusted to me!
The victory that Christ has brought to me is RICH WITH HIS REST!!!
Helping others shouldn’t make me feel overwhelmed or under pressure!!
Oh thank You Lord Jesus!
Heyyy GOD WANTS ME TO ENJOY HIM!!!
My walk with God can never be boring or dull or monotonous!!!
My walk with God is ENJOYABLE… gloreeeeyyyyy!!!
I focus on what God supplies to me!!!!
I cannot genuinely share in the delight of the Father if I have not enjoyed what He supplies to me.
God’s Glory is expressed through me when I enjoy His gifts!
Ohhh I enjoy the gifts of the Father…therefore I am the full expression of His Glory…. gloreeeeyyyyy!
When I came into Christ, I was not merely given His rest but I also ENTERED INTO HIS REST hey!!!
In my daily routines, I am firmly grounded and established in the rest of God….thank You Jesus!!
I refuse to run or wage war in anxiety!!
I rest in the rest of the Lord heyaaa!!
What a loving Father I have…His yoke is easy…His burden is light…He is not difficult to please…OH THANK YOU JESUS!!!
HE BEARS MY BURDENS…OH I ENJOY THE REST OF THE LORD…. GLOREEEEYYYYY!!!!!!!
I bear not my burdens alone but with Christ
I join my life with God
I learn His ways
His my satisfaction and enjoyment
I have entered into His rest
The Lord is not difficult to please.
When I came into Christ I entered His rest. I have ceased from all work and struggles.
I stand in the position where the rest of the Lord is enjoyed.
Whatever he asks me to do he is In it with me. Hallelujah !!!

It is obvious man always in communion with God is looking at what He can do to make God happy. That is the notion of religion, despite this notion, though it is not wrong to think of how to bring joy into the Kingdom (Even the Angels are happy when One soul is saved), God’s idea has always been what He can supply to you to make you be at rest.
The father has rest for the people who love Him…for the people who are brought to Him..He is more interested in your enjoyment of Him that how you give to Him.

He said my burden is light and my yoke is easy and you shall find rest for your souls..I am glad that is plural..He was addressing me inclusive.
I walk with the Lord
The Lord is aware that things can be burdensome and man cannot carry everything that is why he brought us his rest. Depending on his supply is what will make our work simple
That doesn’t also mean that the necessary steps we are supposed to take we leave it because we are. In rest
There are intentional steps we are supposed to take with the supply of God
Remember nothing happens until we make it happen. we make happen by an intentional step.
Example : one is anxious about how their examination will go but being conscious that he is at rest in Jesus doesn’t mean don’t study. If you don’t study it means the ability that Christ has deposited will be left dormant because he is your help in your study and in the exam hall to write what is correct in order to pass and pass well
