SIXTEEN PROJECTILES TO INTERCEPT 5
“so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.”
2 Corinthians 2:11 (ESV)
Though Christ has obtained victory for every believer through His death and resurrection, it is necessary to enforce that victory at all times.
Until you enforce your victory, you will not enjoy its fullness.
This is the summary of what is known as the Spiritual warfare of the Believer.
We are not at war with the devil to conquer him — he has already been conquered. We are at war to enforce our victory in Christ Jesus.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (KJV)
This is war on the grounds of knowledge. It is not a fight over power, it is a fight over whether you will enjoy your victory and inheritance in Christ or doubt all that Christ has accomplished for you.
And that is the focus of the deadly weapons or projectiles of the devil against the believer.
Don’t be ignorant of his schemes.
We have already looked at:
1. Disappointment
2. Discouragement
3. Despair
4. Doubt
5. Unbelief or Disbelief
Now we move on to the other projectiles of the devil:
6. DISTRACTION
The adversary knows, that what takes your attention influences your direction. And what you focus on becomes your goal.
When he wants to move the direction of your life away from the course of the Lord and the purpose of God for your life, he must redefine your attention. This is one of the most subtle bad deadly weapons of the devil.
There are many who have looked back on their lives with regrets because they lost focus. They started off life with great potential and a desire to accomplish so much for the Lord. Yet in their pursuit of purpose, they lost focus and steered their love away from God’s intention for them.
The devil doesn’t distract you with evil. Knowing the condition of your heart, he will first distract you with what also seems to be good.
What do you think is the enemy of the best?
The enemy of the best is the “good” and not the “worst”.
Genuine family situations or career choices move people away from the pursuit of God’s perfect will for their lives. Nobody got distracted by reasons that first appeared foolish. People get distracted from God’s purpose for their lives by reasons which seem genuine.
A lady who had great potential and was marked as one going to do great things in the Kingdom lost focus because she was asked to spend more time with “Study group” friends in school than friends from Church. That was how her desires were redirected from the matters pertaining to God. Her desires for the Lord were watered down and became wayward. She lost her bearing of hope.
Some withdrew from a specific Church Assembly for petty reasons or reasons which were not inspired by the Holy Spirit and could not grow spiritually any more. There are places God plants you, so that He may usher you into greater manifestations. God doesn’t want you to be ordinary, so He ushers you into a company of believers, who dare to do extraordinary things. The adversary will do whatever it takes to distract you from such company.
There are people who think, all Churches are the same. And you can become what God has called you to be irrespective of where you find yourself. That is not true. Not every company of believers have a tailored system to nurture your greatness.
“Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Corinthians 15:33 (NLT)
When Peter decided to look at the storm instead of Jesus, he began to sink (Matthew 14:30). Don’t make decisions because of challenges. Make choices which are consistent with the revelation of Jesus.
It is a trap to think you have to withdraw from your engagements with the Lord, so that you can focus on a family challenge, employment situation or a financial concern.
The adversary is luring you away from your mandate. He doesn’t want you to take and be consistent with what the Lord has begun in you. He may even use family members, a fellow believer or a close friend to distract you. Always pay attention to the voice of the Lord.
Stay alert, maintain and imbue focus.
Selah.
I imbue focus
I pay attention to the voice of God akways.
I am lead by the voice of God.
. There are places God plants you, so that He may usher you into greater manifestations. God doesn’t want you to be ordinary, so He ushers you into a company of believers, who dare to do extraordinary things. The adversary will do whatever it takes to distract you from such company.
PLACES, PEOPLE AND PROSPERTIES.
I REFUSR TO ORDINARY
It is God who does the planting…
You don’t have to go about planting yourself..
My heart and mind shall remain focused on the best intentions and perfect will of God and shall not get distracted by the most beautiful things AMEN 🙏
I am not a victim of the adversary.
I maintain and imbue focus on that which the Lord has called me unto.
I live above distraction in the name of Jesus 🙏 😂
Thank you Lord for Apostle Bennie..
Thank you for Machaira with Apostle Bennie….
There are people who think, all Churches are the same. And you can become what God has called you to be irrespective of where you find yourself. That is not true. Not every company of believers have a tailored system to nurture your greatness.
From the above, I know that:
1. There’s a SPECIFIC PLACE to FULFILL purpose.
2. There’s a SPECIFIC PLACE purpose must be NURTURED .
3. There’s a SPECIFIC PLACE purpose must FLOURISH.
I imbue focus
I don’t allow myself to be distracted by the things the adversary brings on my way
In the name of Jesus
Thank you Lord Jesus for your word
I live daily above disappointment, discouragement, despair, doubt and unbelief.
Thank you Jesus
Thank you Apostle Bennie for this word
Glory to God!
I am not outwitted by Satan
I enforced my victory therefore I enjoy it fullness
I stay alert and listen to the voice of God
I maintain and imbue focus!
I refuse to be distracted
I shall not be distracted by even the beautiful things,my mind is stayed on the Lord and I have perfect peace because my mind is stayed on the Lord.
I pay close attention to the voice of the Lord
Another key item I gleaned from this section is the role of distraction as a projectile of the adversary to draw away the believer from his God given assignment. No distraction appears foolish, no distraction appears unprofitable..they are usual real life situations. The aim is to take you away from fulfilling purpose and to take away precious time and strength. But thanks be to God for knowledge.
