EPISODE 622 – THE 5 BETTER NOTS 3 (Gleanings From the Book of Hebrews)

“For God will not place the coming world, of which we speak, under the government of angels. But the Scriptures affirm:
What is man that you would even think about him, or care about Adam’s race. You made him lower than the angels for a little while. You placed your glory and honor upon his head as a crown. And you have given him dominion over the works of your hands, For you have placed everything under his authority. This means that God has left nothing outside the control of his Son, even if presently we have yet to see this accomplished. But we see Jesus, who as a man, lived for a short time lower than the angels and has now been crowned with glorious honor because of what he suffered in his death. For it was by God’s grace that he experienced death’s bitterness on behalf of everyone! For now he towers above all creation, for all things exist through him and for him. And that God made him, pioneer of our salvation, perfect through his sufferings, for this is how he brings many sons and daughters to share in his glory.” (The Passion Translation)

The government of the Kingdom is not under Angels. The government of the Kingdom is under the rule of Christ.

All things exist through Him and for Him.

Just as the author pointed out in chapter 1:

“The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.” Hebrews 1:3 (TPT)

Even the whole universe rests on His word. The day Christ withdraws Himself from the universe it wouldn’t hold together. No wonder when He gave up His Spirit on the cross, the earth couldn’t hold itself together and the sun couldn’t continue to give light (Matthew 27:51-54).

Any message given by angels must not contradict the revelation of Jesus. When a message given by angels contradicts the revelation of Jesus or doesn’t point you to the need to receive the revelation of Jesus, then it’s a message from a Demonic entity.

Most of the prevailing false teachings which have drawn many followers began as a message from an angel. These false teachers boast of their angelic encounters and disregard the true message of Christ. Any teaching which has its foundation only on an angelic encounter is not built on truth.

Remember, Satan transforms himself into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14).

God now speaks to us openly in the language of His Son Jesus. This language is articulated through the Gospel of Jesus. The only testimony which must be highly esteemed and regarded is the testimony of Jesus. For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10).

Every believer must pay attention to the first warning from the author of Hebrews:

DON’T DISREGARD THE WORD OF CHRIST.

Read the verses: 1-4 from the Message Bible:

“It’s crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we’ve heard so that we don’t drift off. If the old message delivered by the angels was valid and nobody got away with anything, do you think we can risk neglecting this latest message, this magnificent salvation? First of all, it was delivered in person by the Master, then accurately passed on to us by those who heard it from him. All the while God was validating it with gifts through the Holy Spirit, all sorts of signs and miracles, as he saw fit.” Hebrews 2:1-4 (Message Bible)

Don’t risk rejecting or disregarding the glorious gospel of Jesus. Hold it tightly and run with it at all times.
