SEEK AFTER KNOWLEDGE 2
“The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.”Â
Proverbs 15:14 (KJV)
To pursue the knowledge of God is not optional. It is mandatory.
In the Spirit, your mastery and weight are measured by your knowledge.
The root of oppression is ignorance. Your ignorance of the schemes of the adversary is an advantage to the adversary. He is able to inflict pain and multiply its effect knowing that you are ignorant of its cause and course.
When you are confronted by a challenge and you lack the understanding of its solution or can’t even apprehend the root cause you may be fighting but will only be beating the air.
Jesus said the knowledge of the truth shall make you walk in freedom (John 8:32).
Until you come into knowledge you will be living as one enslaved, though you are set free.
Even in spiritual warfare, you don’t enforce victory by emotions. You enforce your victory in Christ by the accurate knowledge of Christ in you.
When Paul the apostle prayed for the Church in Ephesus, that the eyes of their understanding may be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18), it was so that they may KNOW.
Take a look at it:
“the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” Ephesians 1:18 (NKJV)
To walk in your victory in Christ, you must come into knowledge and understanding.
This reality cannot be overemphasized.
You must take up the responsibility to grow in knowledge.
You must never get tired of receiving sound doctrine. And for the adversary to attack the believer’s faith he makes you dull of hearing the word of God. The more you become dull of hearing, the more you are not able to receive revelation (See Hebrews 5:11).
Your greatest weakness is ignorance.
“The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger.” Proverbs 24:5 (NLT).
Make it your desire to seek after knowledge in Christ.
